Gasser would be Sox top starter. He's probably #3 or 4 for brewers. We need quality starters.

I don't care what any media jock says, I can make my own call on this product I've been consuming for years. Speigel was spot on in his critique. John was not a victim of sports talk hosts unfair criticism..sorry but he was just bad at that job. As speigel said ,John simply did not feel the game action unfolding in front of him therefore could not focus on his main mission. All I ask is putting a professional baseball play by play guy in there. Stone will not be asked to go on silly tangents to appear engaged. Randazzo seems to fit the bill.

Yea,I find myself quietly rooting for guardians in this series...I cannot work up hate for guards now that I am removed from the Sox defeat for 6 days. They play tough sound ball and Jose is such a gamer....I respect them. The brewers are my NL team...and I hope they win it all.

No one from the Sox management was quoted in this article. Jeff agest, the media critic, speculated about this only. That's his job I did not see it as a hatchet job..he even praised John as " improved" this season. He stated the obvious, John just is not suited for baseball. I like randazzo and onion.

I caught some of last notes bulls game with randazzo and hummel...hope that is bulls broadcast team....randazzo sounded fine..smart,articulate,light touch. Sign him up.

Well said,sir...let's go white sox!

Not a fan of less baseball. Do fans really want fewer games? From a old guy who counts on seeing Sox most every day of summer, I vote no to 154. Its interwoven into the fabric of summer...watching is optional for those who tire of too much Sox baseball.

Keep your heads down, boys, and continue to focus on this game and the process ,not the outcome. I'm more than nervous enough for this game ; just hope our Sox can come out free and easy Go Sox!

Braden Montgomery's post game interview was a small glimpse into this young man's psyche....very thoughtful, intelligent non cliche responses. He has struggled at times but his high character kept him resolute. He is built for big moments like today. Never gets scared, very cool. He has some of that athletic arrogance needed to persevere thru tough times. Very good genes and upbringing from his parents. Dad was good running back at Iowa, mom is Iowa med school physician.

Cmon Sean. ..shutem down!

Newcomb pitched well enough but his error cost a run. Still, good to see newcomb might be back.

Brewers Miz just went 4 innings..a mere 4 outs more than hagen smith. Padres starter went 3 innings. Braves went with an opener again..they did it vs Phillies in clincher also. Skubal went 6 for dodgers Rassmussen went 8+ for rays. Kohl went 7 for Yankees. Starting pitching is scarce,I guess, or using openers is good strategy?

And now the battle for true supremacy in the AL Central begins. Sox nemesis,Cleveland, stands in the path. Today, Ohio must feel the twin sting of losing to the White Sox and the Hawkeyes. Go Sox,Go Hawkeyes!

I like to think the Sox management are looking to re- shape their whole approach to pitching and roster construction Total moneyball strategy on pitching staff. Get 12-14 good arms out there and get 27 outs every nite as a group effort nitely. 30 million/year starters kill your ability to be nimble. That guy has arm trouble you are screwed. Spread good money among 14 guys with power arms. Everybody can go 2-3 innings and everybody gets plenty of work. The way arms break down these days just spread the risk.

Second guessing the managers decisions thru out the season is so easy but big picture,Will has improved this club both years as manager. They are hired to be fired but this buys will venable several years as Sox manager..maybe more. Congrats to the whole team!!!
