  1. QUOTE (Palehosefan @ Apr 14, 2010 -> 03:46 PM) 5th rounder for Holmes. But he has 12 games until he's a FA. you're right, my bad.
  2. The real story here is that it has been 12 years since the Bulls won there last championship and they have won 1 playoff series (against an old, battered, Heat team) since. While Paxon has helped bring this team back from being an absolute disgrace, he hasn't done nearly enough to justify keeping his job. Fire Paxon, Fire Forman, Fire Vinny. . . and bring in some organizational talent that can find and develop talent.
  3. QUOTE (SoxAce @ Apr 14, 2010 -> 02:58 PM) Ted Ginn Jr. supposedly on the block. I think mostly everyone, except Tru, thought that was a bad pick at #9 anyways. Santonio Holmes - 4 games = a 2nd Rounder Brandon Marshall = 2 2nd Rounders Ted Ginn = a 4th Rounder?
  4. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Apr 13, 2010 -> 10:34 PM) Just got back from the game. First of all, holy hell alot of fairweather celtics fans live in chicago. And they are dumb fans. Second, talk about a different league, D Rose just schooled the s*** out of Rondo, and told him about it the entire game. Awesome. Pete Meyers even f***ed with Rondo at one point. Was Rose talking s*** to Rondo? Awesome.
  5. How has nobody posted this yet? I haven't laughed this hard in a long time.
  6. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Apr 7, 2010 -> 04:13 PM) If you go to weather.com, there is a huge 2 hour window where they predict no rain from 7-9pm, then the percentages don't go much higher. This game will be played, but expect 5 innings from JFP before a short delay. JFP I must have missed that moniker, but I loves it.
  7. Doesn't look like baseball will be played on the southside tonight. . . just started coming down hard in the loop
  8. What are the chances that ST Johns has a better record with Lavin than DePaul does with Prunell over the life of their contracts?
  9. so long glimmer of hope. . . see you when the oliver purnell debacle ends.
  10. just followed him, need 2 now
  11. if there was any doubt who our netminder will be for the playoffs (which there really wasn't) Niemi answered the call today (and all week).
  12. Great save on a breakaway by niemi.
  13. Becks, Danks, and Kotsay at the Hawks game today rocking personalized indian head sweaters . . . awesome. They were also standing and applauding for the veterans at the game, good boys.
  14. blackouts need to be saved for truly "big games." Opening day does not fit my blackout criteria.
  15. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Mar 29, 2010 -> 09:11 PM) You have go need a new one by now! brown in back, yellow in front . . . why fix it if it ain't broke
  16. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Mar 23, 2010 -> 08:51 PM) But on the bright side, there is plenty of room for money in there, because there isn't much of anything else taking up space. I'm not even going to lie. . . those Soxtalk G-Strings were AWESOME. Don't Hate.
  17. Hawks got a bum call, but it doesn't explain why 2 guys were out of place. . . not sure what Ladd was thinking.
  18. QUOTE (SockMe @ Mar 6, 2010 -> 11:50 PM) met Jonathen Toews today at the mall, that was cool. was he eating a cinnabun? I heard tazer loves to get his cinnabun on.
  19. J. Peppers is at the game tonight with Lovie (didn't anyone let Lovie know that Peppers already signed?)
  20. Thanks everyone. It is pretty weird to think that I helped Jason create this board (and soxnet) when I was a sophomore in HighSchool. Now I'm 24. You are all the wind beneath my wings.
  21. I gotta side with the "it's weird to root against your own country" bandwagon here. I don't get how you root for the Canadian team if you're an American. I can almost understand rooting for a different country in a sport like ski jumping. But Hockey? It's as mainstream as the Winter Olympics get and there was a lot riding on tonight's game. I couldn't care less that Canada was trying to win on their home soil. . . thats what would have made it all the more sweet if we could have won. Moreover, we were the plucky underdogs . . . it's not like we were the evil overbearing team -- that was Canada who had an entire team riddled with all-stars and future hall of famers. I dunno, I just don't understand the logic. But to each his own.
  22. QUOTE (NIUSox @ Feb 22, 2010 -> 01:23 PM) Definitely would have to agree with you on that one. I assume we're referring to the one girl who posed nude back in her home country?
  23. QUOTE (chimpy2121 @ Feb 21, 2010 -> 09:19 PM) Canadian fans don't take well to losing. expect a few of these around canada tomorrow and by a few I mean a few million.
  24. Furthermore, the referee's should be embarrassed by their bias tonight. The back-to-back calls against johnson and kane (Nash flopped like a woman) were ridiculously ticky-tacky and the Canadian team still didn't win.
  25. Thanks for the gifts tonight Marty, you we're absolutely brutal. :usa :usa
