  1. QUOTE (knightni @ Feb 19, 2010 -> 09:17 PM) Come on, you gotta love . I gotta admit that was pretty cool, but for my money I will take Benny over any other mascot in the NBA.
  2. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Feb 19, 2010 -> 06:27 AM) LMAO at Benny the Bull. Skip to 0:40 awesome, Benny the Bull is the best mascot in pro sports.
  3. I like the deals made today, but GARPAX has shown me nothing that would lead me to believe that any of the big time 2010 FA are coming here. I just have a bad feeling that we're going to be left at the altar again.
  4. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Feb 17, 2010 -> 11:22 PM) Warrick 2010: Free Agent Alexander 2010: Team Option (he's in the D-League) I don't care either way though. If Warrick and Thomas are ever on the same court at the same time . . . the basketball gods will cry.
  5. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Feb 17, 2010 -> 11:15 PM) Give me Warrick. Do Warrick and Alexander have expiring contracts? (I would assume so).
  6. Wade felt something "pop" in his calf tonight in the Heat's win against the Nets. Does it make sense to trade for Amare' now?
  7. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Feb 17, 2010 -> 06:07 PM) Well, no Amare to the Cavs then. Where does he go now?
  8. QUOTE (Brian @ Feb 16, 2010 -> 09:31 PM) Taj is a nice role player for us. Doesn't make dumb decisions like Tyrus does. Very true, make no mistake I dont think Taj will ever make an all-star game (niether will Tyrus). There is also no question that Tyrus has more potential than Taj, however, Tyrus hasn't developed into the player the Bulls thought he would be WHEN THEY TRADED HIM FOR ALDRIDGE!!!!!!!!!! God. I can't get over that one.
  9. QUOTE (JorgeFabregas @ Feb 16, 2010 -> 09:19 PM) Their stats are pretty close. I think Tyrus has had the better season narrowly. You can't just look at their stats. . . Taj has played consistently good, fundamentally sound defense and doesn't take miserable shots on offense. For my money I think Taj has had a better season.
  10. QUOTE (Cowch @ Feb 16, 2010 -> 07:05 PM) I love Noah, but Chris Bosh is Chris Bosh. Plus, as previously said, the Bulls would be rid of Deng's contract. If this happens, I have a renewed faith in the Bull's front office. Ditto. Get it done! Bosh + Rose is the best recruiting tool we could possibly imagine. If this deal goes down, I feel very confident we land a big fish in Free Agency.
  11. Bears fire Player Personnel Director Bobby DePaul Per CS.com
  12. what a travesty. . . seriously, no more dunk contests.
  13. The TNT crew is really hammering the horribleness of this dunk contest
  14. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Feb 9, 2010 -> 10:30 PM) Niemi was decent enough tonight to warrant a third straight start. Nice to see Steeger bury that s***. Sopel actually looked to have worth killing penalties tonight. Any thoughts on Turco's performance tonight? He looked pretty good for an old man. . . I wonder if he has any juice left in the tank for one last cup run.
  15. Question. . . Is it too soon to have a Tony Amonte heritage night? I'd like to see the team bring him back into the fold, he was the hawks best player (and the face of the franchise) from the time Roenick left until the he left the team. edit: son of a b**** Well. . . I still love you Tony Amonte.
  16. QUOTE (Felix @ Feb 9, 2010 -> 02:22 PM) Timberwolves have also been wearing their throwbacks fairly consistently, which is good because the throwbacks are better than our current jerseys. 10x Better to be exact. . . I've done the math, don't ask to see my work.
  17. Can we add another choice? "Screw the game I'm going to watch the Puppy Bowl"
  18. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Feb 7, 2010 -> 08:23 AM) Yes. Niemi is the team's #1 goaltender. He makes some saves he shouldn't and most of the ones he should. He's the anti-Huet. wowzerz Steve, it only took you 2+ years to come around to the "Huet isn't good" side of the argument. . . well I'm happy to have you.
  19. QUOTE (iamshack @ Feb 3, 2010 -> 02:50 PM) Field Turf! Field Turf! David Haugh From what I've heard, the Sod Father was asked to take a look at the situation down at Soldier Field. Bossard gave the team the price it would cost to do the job right (actual grass) and the team rebuffed him because they said it was too expensive. This is per Dan McNeil or someone else on talk radio.
  20. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Feb 2, 2010 -> 04:58 PM) Dont forget that Martz's system uses shorter drops than Turner's seemed to, so the O line just needs to hold blocks for 3-4 steps. Forte is going to be a beast with how many balls he catches next season. umm. . . not always. Martz's scheme uses seven step drops a good part of the time as well, hence the need for a good blocking TE.
  21. I missed Mike North's "debut" this morning... did anyone catch this s***-show?
  22. Ok, Martz can talk the talk because I am totally pumped about watching this offense next year.
  23. QUOTE (GoodAsGould @ Feb 1, 2010 -> 04:42 PM) Worse case, Jay is the 2nd most talented QB that Martz has ever had a chance to work with and I think on talent alone Cutler > Warner. As for the Bears "striking out" on all their other candidates, I honestly don't think after interviewing them and whatnot any of the potential candidates sparked the Bears interest, maybe Greenbays QB coach but that was blocked. The only coach that the bears wanted and missed was Perry Fewell. I think you are probably right, except I think Bates was going to get a really strong look if he didn't go with Carroll to Seattle. I actually think they probably would have offered him the job. I'm not sure it would have been the right decision, but I still think he was there #1 guy coming into this offseason.
  24. QUOTE (iamshack @ Feb 1, 2010 -> 04:34 PM) I dunno if it is bs or not, but he's claiming Cutler will be the most talented QB he will have ever worked with. Martz has said repeatedly that he rated Cutler the highest of any QB coming out of college, but he said that while he was campaigning for the job back in December.
