I didn't get a chance to see Vaz last start, what did he do differently that was effective? Did he stay away from the curveball, or did he just not flatten out sliders?
-
Wow, FG got away with one to Cano this game has the feeling this year has had... Sox are just killing themselves with mistakes and looking terrible, but you look up and they're still in it. (lol, not that is very insightful, but the feeling I have)
-
that was a bad swing by PK there, he got 2-0 and was looking to hit a bomb instead of trying to go with what was pitched Wang doesn't look good tonight and Sox aren't taking advantage
-
I could live with a PK out as long as it isn't him attempting to pull the ball
-
Thome has been so solid going the other way lately, great ABs against the shift
-
good AB by Iguchi... did try to pull the 0-1 but then battled well to get the BB... driving up Wang's pitch count
-
well pods pulled and Iguchi tried to on 0-1, let's hope this isn't a trend
-
DJ in response to Hawk saying there will be a lot more runs scored "I hope we're part of it" DJ has been audibly upset with FG lately
-
Huge test for the offense approach here. I could easily see these guys getting sucked into attempting a HR hitting contest with the Yankees and ditching the wonderful approach they've had so far
-
well, Freddy's demanor looks more confident tonight, let's see if his loss of velocity can be overcome it sounds ridiculous but he seems more "into" this game then his last outing ignore my last post.... gosh darn this sucks
-
good catch Critic, I meant top!! But hell, FG can get thrown out trying to get an extra base as well as Pods!
-
wow, now if Yankees lose BBTN has a 5 minute segment to say how they got robbed Bottom of the 3rd will be the biggest inning this year for "big game" Freddy
-
let's see them take this hit away this is going to be taken away
-
Boy, Mack is struggling tonight
-
as negative as I've been, I try to remember that Sox are still tied for WC, and even though I don't cheer for injuries, Liriano may go on the DL. So if the SPs can get heads out of asses some, they're still in an OK position (but yes, I will still b**** when they struggle, because I'll have knee jerk reactions)
-
ok guys, keep it going, I think Wang's numbers show he's a better home pitcher and you can get to him some on the road, let's keep it going
-
what has dissapointed me about Ozzie this year compared to last year is he is putting people in situations to fail this year. Last year I thought he did a good job of figuring out what people did poorly and protected them. I know Mack would have to play CF once in awhile, but this second half BA should be getting a vast majority of the playing time out there, Ozzie is just letting him get killed out there. He is a solid utility player at the corner OF and 3b, but it's not fair to put him in center
-
Boy the umpire really caused that rolling breaking ball, I can't believe he did that to Freddy
-
anyone have Wang's home and away splits? I think he pitches real well at one place and average at the other... OK, Hawk needs to give up blaming the umpire now, it was a blown call, but Pods should have never gone, blame lays with him IMO
-
unreal, yeah, the replay showed he was safe, but you can't push it this early... unreal, this team is just handing away innings, outs and runs
-
the thank you letter is key, IMO, always a great idea to send a short one, and if you forget to mention something in the interview, ie you know you have to take some days off in the near future, include those in there too. If this doesn't work out for you and you have to go on other interviews, make sure you are not afraid to ask questions that are important to you. I agree with the previous post about red flags, but also make sure personal things are covered. Don't be worried about asking about things like holidays, overtime, how many hours you will be asked to work, insurance... I know a few friends who feel those types of questions will scare potential employers off. I feel that if the job doesn't work for you, you will be miserable. Out of law school I jumped on a job because I was just excited to have one, and I hated it. I left that job in 5 months and when I found a job that fits what I wanted and am so much happier. Good luck, and don't be discouraged if it doesn't come through, you have to keep on plugging sometimes.

i got sirius and I love it, I barely ever listen to local radio, other than Sox games and the Roe Conn show. O & A are unlistenable in my opinion, they are doing a smart thing though by trying to get publicity with a war with Stern.

Andruw Jones Claimed off waivers...

Mods, please merge if necessary. Buster Olney was on ESPN radio this afternoon and said Jones was claimed by an unknown team and the Braves and team are talking. Olney thinks that if the Braves get the 3 quality players they wanted before the deadline they'll move him, but easily could just pull him back. Also said he doesn't know who the 2 teams are, possibly Angels or Houston

looks like it didn't matter, if Bmac mowed those two guys down in would have been delayed during the half inning. Well, a game behind the playoffs, not good, but have to go to Toronto and win that series, Red Sox and Yankees play each other a few more times this year looks like it didn't matter, if Bmac mowed those two guys down in would have been delayed during the half inning.
