  1. Props to DJ actually bailing out Iguchi after Hawk was nailing him for that "missed" play earlier, by basically saying that since the ball was hit slower by teahen it was a difficult play nice play by Crede
  2. yeah, i think PK outs going to right field are actually a good sign
  3. Hawk again bringing up how Iguchi had that ball go under his glove. I think that Hawk should let that go, maybe it's a play he had a chance to make, but it was a tough play
  4. ok, that's a glimmer of old MB, let's keep that rolling
  5. That German walk was garbage, spiff, i mean that 3-2 pitch didn't give him a chance, that's where MB use to be so effective, throwing a cutter and sawing a guy off
  6. Real classy of Hawk to basically blame that HR on Iguchi, even though MB was the one who laid that pitch over the middle of the plate
  7. could someone post a short synopsis for those stuck at work without the ability to play?
  8. QUOTE(G&T @ Jul 31, 2006 -> 11:23 PM) In the forums on the Apple support website there's a topic on this, but I'm having trouble finding it. This will transfer your iPod files to your computer. I've done it before so I'll try to get you through it. I have a 30 gb video iPod. 1. Dowload iTunes, make sure your iPod is set up as a hard disk. If you aren't sure then plug in your ipod (don't let it erase your stuff), go to Edit, Preferences, iPod and senable disk use. Click "Eject iPod," then reopen the preferences menu then replug the iPod into the computer. This will stop iTunes from reading the iPod. Wait about 15 seconds. 2. Go to My Computer and open the removable storage folder which may say iPod, but it should be next to your other hard drives. Open the file "iPod control." There is a folder named "Music." Save that file to your hard drive. This will take a while. 3. After the file transfer, remove your iPod by clicking the "Safely Remove Hardware" button in the task bar. Close the preferences menu in iTunes. 4. Plug your iPod back into the computer. In Itunes, go to File, Add Folder, and find the "Music" folder you just downloaded and add it to your iPod. That should pretty much do it. It worked for me, so I hope I explained it right. This might help: Apple thanks for your help, i'll try it this weekend hopefully and let you know!
  9. I'll still watch if I'm home on a Monday, but don't get PPVs anymore. I follow ROH as much as I can. I'll read their website and make an effort to check their shows out when they're in town.
  10. QUOTE(maggliopipe @ Jul 31, 2006 -> 03:15 PM) SI reporting that the Cubs are getting Izturis back... At his price, yuck. http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2006/writ...ades/index.html wow, if all they could get was Izturis it shows that lower tier sp had zero value this year. I know maddux has been bad, but he would look good in a lot of contenders rotations at 4 or 5
  11. QUOTE(fathom @ Jul 31, 2006 -> 03:09 PM) But what do they need him for? With the money they'll have to spend this offseason, they'd be better off just signing better parts. Their infield defense is the least of their worries. I agree, it would have to involve a prospect or two. I know Maddux hasn't pitched well overall this year, but you have to figure they could get more than CI for him. CI is a solid player, but nothing great. I'm suprised they didn't trade Pierre. There wasn't much talk about him in a trade or signing an extension, so it will be interesting to see if he walks at years end
  12. QUOTE(Felix @ Jul 31, 2006 -> 03:08 PM) I'd love it if it involves Garza, which their latest offer supposidly does. I think I read that Minn wouldn't do it if Garza was involved, and that's what the Nats asked for, but at this time so much was written who knows
  13. as another poster mentioned, the worst part of no trades is going to be Hawks rant tonight about how that was the right thing to do... I love The Hawk, but this will be one of the times mute might be used
  14. QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Jul 31, 2006 -> 01:22 PM) I actually have another ipod question. Do they really only make like 2/4 gb ipods and jump all the way to 30/60 gb ipods now? I was going to get one, so I looked online. I have about 12 gb's of music on my computer, so the smaller ones are not enough, but then the larger ones seem like overkill. yeah, they span a wide variety of space. There is a 20 one. But I think the price difference for the ones you would be looking at aren't huge, so it might be worth it just to have the extra space
  15. QUOTE(maggsmaggs @ Jul 30, 2006 -> 04:41 PM) Alright, I think I have made up my mind. MVP '05 and NCAA Football '07. What do you guys think of that mix? I can't recommend NCAA highly enough. It has entertaining game play, and the Dynasty mode is great to simulate. I've been a fan of the games since they came out and waste hours upon hours on it every damn year. What's great is to get a few guys, start a dynasty and then simulate most of the games except work it out where your teams play once a year. As long as you pick good programs you'll do OK in the simulation, then the head-to-head games hold the key for your season and recruiting

    Karoake

"house of the rising sun" is good, it's slow, short, and you can get away with not singing very much if you want to be bold try "Brandy" by the Looking Glass, always a huge hit
  17. I really like Cold Stone, but the vanilla flavor only. It is a little strong, but nowhere near the other flavors IMO. I add walnuts, the pie crust or Kit Kat and it's fantastic! The cake batter ice cream is good for one taste, then I fall into the same trap the rest of you do.
  18. I'll just tack this i-pod question here... my computer with i-tunes recentally crashed, and likely not worth recovering. But if I install the software on a new computer, is there anything special I have to do when I add new music to it? I'm afraid that if I hit update i-pod, it will update with the new i-tunes with little music on it... any guidance?
  19. QUOTE(JimH @ Jul 31, 2006 -> 01:03 PM) The 1 pm update on 1000 said the White Sox still have a standing offer out there to the Nationals for Soriano, but it's believed to be not good enough. And that KW is "checking into" the availability and price for Latroy Hawkins. Offman on 670 just said KW may add another reliever. So that's the latest, at least from Chicago radio, two hours to go. Hawkins would make zero sense. I would rather have Bmac or Riske pitching in front of him out of the pen. Maybe Cooper recognized something in tapes and think he can be fixed, he's had a good track record with bullpen guys. It seems like Bowden's price for Soriano is not going to be met, so it will be interesting to see if he just holds on to him or takes a lesser offer
  20. like the agressive base running, may or may not have caught a break, but Sox are in a good position
  21. J mother fishin' D.... That was PKs best at bat in weeks to draw that walk
  22. Well, JD is the guy I want to see up in these situations, so I got what I want, let's see what he can do
  23. wow, first time I've heard Hawk or DJ admit that this team lost something when the other team came back
  24. I will buy about any excuse from KW for not making a move by tomorrow except anything close to comparing how he didn't make a big move last year and it worked out. That excuse might actually make me puke OK, so this guy has a 18.00 ERA so he should go 1-2-3 in about 12 pitches
