  1. man, another walk? well, I don't know, I know Bmac is pitching like S out there, but likely our only chance was to see if he could pull it together and get to bat in the 9th, I would have lived with it if Bmac just kept walking the world or getting shelled, it may have been do or die
  2. that's completely unacceptable, not only is he not a good hitter, but with the rain a comin' you can't walk that guy, let him put it in play
  3. darn it, that's likely it.... well, they got the series, just have to hope Cleveland wins and get PK and Thome back soon
  4. KC has to do a pitching change now, right? well, at they're killing time wiht the visit
  5. well, this looks like it will be it as far as the rain goes, but if the Sox lose this, it's not on the rain, KC just beat them tonight Hopefully Cleveland can hang on an and the Sox will still be tied for WC
  6. i know this goes against baseball logic, and he's bringing in a right hander, but at this point I'm very careful to Dye, it helps that Crede is behind him, but he's killed KC in this series
  7. QUOTE(GoRowand33 @ Aug 2, 2006 -> 09:10 PM) ozzie seems to be one of those managers where if things are going well he's a genious, and if the team starts to slip a little bit its all blamed on him that's every manager/coach.... and don't get me wrong, i'm as guilty as anyone when it comes to ragging on managers and coaches
  8. i think with the rain you have to leave him in, either he gets an out here or the rain gets him.... or not...
  9. no way, no f'n way, Ozzie is not out here wasting time with rain breathing down our neck
  10. ah, crap, Teahen should really be pitched around at this point
  11. crap, no the greatest swing there by BA
  12. ick, i just hate when a borderline pitcher dominates the Sox like this. It just bugs the hell out of me. I know he pitched better since being a starter, but not like this
  13. did freddy just go up and flick off uribe on that one?
  14. is freddy going to show up the wind now?
  15. QUOTE(Gregory Pratt @ Aug 2, 2006 -> 08:15 PM) Oh you didn't know? then your ass better calllllllllll somebody!!!!!!!!!!
  16. OK, I know this is a little behind, but I thought Freddy really showed up gload on that chopper, then absolutely fell asleep on the pop up that AJ caught am I just nit picking?
  17. QUOTE(Brian @ Aug 2, 2006 -> 11:11 AM) Bet money that one of the guards with a helmet will be revealed as RVD when he returns. Would be a mistake to try and make RVD a heel, but ya never know. I've read it's the Basham Brothers as those guys under the helmets, but that doesn't mean they couldn't be someone else when they reveal them.
  18. QUOTE(fathom @ Aug 1, 2006 -> 08:30 PM) Don't tempt me. It's always fun to yell out "now you're going to see, the perfectplex". some of the most quality wrestling vignettes were when Mr. Perfect would participate in sporting events such as diving or shooting baskets... and say "Now that's Perfect"
  19. OK, baby steps with MB, so that was a solid inning, he shut them down after the Sox got a run, something he wasn't doing a lot of. damn, 26 is a little old for a prospect, but I guess there's late bloomers
  20. is Shealy a good prospect? Seems like some people were interested him during the deadline
  21. Sandy getting some wood on the ball, good sign. It's a HUGE inning for MB coming up. One definite constant through his slide lately has been giving up runs when the Sox score. I want to see a zero next inning
  22. QUOTE(TheBlackSox8 @ Aug 1, 2006 -> 08:04 PM) i would like to be listening to hawk right now.....that would mean i'd be watching the game on television. you're right, I tend to complain about him a little, but I really do enjoy him. He has a personality. When you watch Len Kasper with the Cubs you realize that the Sox could easily bring a play-by-play guy in who is generic
