  1. the pulling thing is unreal. It is obvious to me why Rogers has been getting hit in the 2nd half, but the Sox are doing exactly what he wants.
  2. wow, i really can't think of anything else to say about that inning
  3. good approach by Crede, they should have that approach against Rogers in every AB, no just when they're trying to move a runner along
  4. likely pitching around Crede here, the bottom three of Uribe, Anderson and Sandy probably look good to him
  5. Take advantage of this!!
  6. ha, of course he gets him out on an outside pitch... but good job by MB, need to hold them
  7. have to mix it up to I-Rod here, can't go away away away with him, he's way too locked into that now...
  8. Even though 3 runs might be impossible to overcome right now, this is a big batter for MB, he has to hold it at 3 to give this team any shot
  9. wow, Rogers has retired 10 in a row. His stuff is not anywhere near that good tonight, the Sox are just an absolute joke at the plate right now. I'm starting to see it in their body language. This 3 run lead seems more like a 5-7 run lead right now
  10. Listen, I love Gooch, but that AB was a joke, it's mind boggling how bad their approach has been lately
  11. it is amazing that the Sox hitters have watched the Tigers continuely work counts and go with pitches, while they are sitting there attenpting to dead pull everything that looks like a strike early in the count There is no excuse for the offense the last two series. They scored 4 runs in the Saturday Twins game and they were given, what, 2 of those?

I went to school with a kid who was probably a legit 6'5 at 13. It happens. This is the kids second year, so I would assume it's legit. I remember seeing him last year, he had trouble with his cordination at the plate, but it seems like this year he's doing better
  13. IMO it's the managers. That's not a critique at all, I think both managers are very good managers, it's just their personality rubbing off on their club.
  14. thanks for the updates everyone. Gamecast is running slow today
  15. MSU fan, I went to Elmhurst College and my dad went to MSU, so since cheering for a Div III school isn't fun, I cheer for MSU
  16. QUOTE(Fotop @ Aug 16, 2006 -> 09:32 AM) And smart fantasy footballers across the globe rejoice as all the Reggie Bush hype make that one guy in your draft pick Reggie way too early. (Granted I think he's an late 2nd/early 3rd rounder right now; I'm assuming he gets overdrafted in early 2nd and possibly late 1st) Are they planning on him returning kicks or punts? I know it won't count in most, if not all fantasy leagues on individual stats, but that increases his chances of injury
  17. FWIW, I saw on a couple of the wrestling websites that Hogan has complete creative control during this agreement, so whatever happens he'll have to sign off
  18. QUOTE(YASNY @ Aug 13, 2006 -> 08:28 PM) I'd like to see the Reds win it, because they weren't expected to contend. Also, I was impressed with the way they revamped their bullpen before the deadline when "there weren't any quality relievers available." Great point, I'll go ESPN conspiracy on that and think this myth is being spread because the Red Sox bullpen is terrible and they didn't get any of the guys that went to Cincy or even MacDougal. There were some decent pen arms that moved at or near the deadline.
  19. I went with the Astros. They know how to get it done, I believe Lidge is pitching better, and with Clemens, Petite and Oswalt, they have a pitching advantage over any of those teams. FWIW I think the Dodgers will win the West
  20. ROH shows are great. To see the toilet paper throwing for the entrance of the Embassy and the way Jimmy Rave sells it is worth the price of admission alone. Samoa Joe also puts on a great show.
  21. haven't bought new much, but if you want some older stuff, I recently went through my CDs and uncovered some great stuff I haven't listened to in awhile -the first Foo Fighters album (self-titled I believe). It's all Dave Grohl and it kicks major ass -something older that I threw in last week and was reminded how great it is is Bowie's Ziggy Stardust
  22. 80+ pitches for Wang right now... would love to get into the Yankee bullpen early in this series
  23. great even swing by Joe... man Bora$ is doing backflips this year, Crede has been so good
  24. last three hitters (PK, Dye, AJ) have all tried to pull
  25. good to hear Vaz used more fast balls, that is a major change of philosophy
