  1. Dye was listed as a loss for Oakland, yet he didn't mention where he ended up, in addition to forgetting to mention Vizcaino, he didn't bother to mention the Hermanson signing either. BTW, 2005 Dye> end of 2004 Magglio who would have costed a minimum of $11.2 million. How the f*** is that not an upgrade?
  2. QUOTE(winodj @ Jan 31, 2005 -> 12:59 PM) He was around for the Curly C uniforms? Wow. <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
  3. That's Willie Harris, although Sammy was his size when he was with the Sox.
  4. QUOTE(kdhargo @ Jan 31, 2005 -> 12:17 PM) All three were great men. I'm lost -- where does the comparison to you .. start? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Is he actually trying to compare himself to George f***ing Washington? :banghead Congrats Anthrax! With Sosa leaving town, you officially have the biggest ego in the Chicagoland Area.

  6. QUOTE(hi8is @ Jan 31, 2005 -> 02:02 AM) are you saying that you are that dude in your avatar? <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
  7. I'm really hoping that the Twins f*** Johan over, and he's good friends with Ozzie and Freddy.
  8. QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ Jan 30, 2005 -> 10:04 PM) The kid is dead... the link to the Newspaper article I found in my cache now requires payment to read the article. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> That's what I imagined. Where did it happen?
  9. QUOTE(qwerty @ Jan 30, 2005 -> 08:16 PM) I have only had one question throughout this thread. Who is the hitter, ozzie? Because no one would have a differential of just .10 of batting average to obp. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Pierzynski or Alex Sanchez.
  10. I have some video clips on my computer, how do I turn them into gif's?
  11. Aboz, when the f*** where those odds made? Tigers, Indians, Orioles, Padres, and Mariners????
  12. :sleep The Dodgers already made an offer to the Japanese player, the Sox are confident in Crede for this season, Weaver will make more than $9 million, the Dodgers gave Jose Valentin(e) $3.5 million so they aren't going to let him rot on the bench, the Sox are already looking for a backup shortstop so why would they like to create another hole by getting rid of their everyday first baseman, and why the hell would the Sox want yet another (expensive) starting pitcher?
  13. Why should we help out the Cubs? Do we really need Farnsworth or any of their overrated prospects? :fthecubs
  14. QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ Jan 29, 2005 -> 10:12 PM) Wow, I definitely would take the .290/.430 over the .375/.385 any day of the week... That's a huge difference in OBP, and it tells me that the .375 guy is probably having a very lucky season in terms of hitting the ball... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Well that's the thing, I say it says something about player's skill level, not luck
  15. QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ Jan 29, 2005 -> 09:09 PM) Leaving OPS out of the equation (because doesn't OPS consider extra base hits as well as OBP & AVG...?), wouldn't you rather have the guy who has a .250 AVG/.360 OBP over the guy with the .285 AVG/.330 OBP? I know who I'd take (again -- leaving OPS out of the equation)... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> It depends on the speed of the player. I was saying I would take a guy who's .375/.385 over a guy who's .290/.430. Look at Mark Bellhorn's stats from last season.
  16. QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Jan 29, 2005 -> 09:19 PM) Now somebody replace SoxnBears' head with Jay Mariotti's. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I smell a photoshop contest idea.
  17. QUOTE(Punch and Judy Garland @ Jan 29, 2005 -> 08:16 PM) In fact I would go as far as to say that obp is one of the more overrated stats. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Personally, I would rather have a guy who's batting average is considered "high," over a guy who's OBP is considered "high."
  18. Pods. Hell he has a higher career OBP than Hairston and he can stay healthy.
  19. Did Nikki Cox get a breast reduction, and is she still married to f***ing Bobcat Goldthait???
