Who is Cott? ..and a WHIP that bad by a relief pitcher cannot be defended. Keep trying. I wouldn't count on Politte and Hermanson bailing you out either.

This is what I had for my first job out of school and my second job 6 months later. Objective To obtain a full-time mechanical engineering position with a world leader in the manufacturing industry Work history (list previous two jobs and tasks) Education (U of I) (JJC) Project Experience (Senior design project with a couple bullet points) (Reliability Engineering with a bullet point) (Mechanical Design II with a bullet point) (Introduction to Manufacturing with a couple of bullet points) Skills (list software that I'm familiar with) I figure now that I'm mid-career, I'll delete all the project stuff from school and fill them in with work projects. Not sure about the objective. I don't think it should jump straight to education (or should I even put that on there?)

Cool. Your Alma Mater has a pretty nice program, but I figure I'll work another couple of years before going back and do it when I hold a position that is less demanding on contribution and focuses more on supervision (ie I can do my study work in my office while working as a supervisor.) I bought a GMAT book for some review, and the test doesn't seem bad at all.

Marte was terrible in 2005. His WHIP was always high but there was a huge split in his ERA in the first and second halves. 1st half: 2.81 ERA, 1.64 WHIP 2nd half: 5.03 ERA, 1.83 WHIP As you can see, in the first half his ERA was lower because he was routinely bailed out by Politte, and Hermanson. He was surpassed by Neal Cotts as the go-to lefty guy as I recall Damaso facing two lefty Royals (one being Matt Stairs) and beaning both of them. Hermanson: 1st Half: 1.53 ERA, 1.10 WHIP 2nd Half: 2.86 ERA, 1.09 WHIP Politte: 1st half: 1.02 ERA, .74 WHIP (ARE YOU KIDDING ME? I remember a huge thread deabting on how he should be an All-star) 2nd half: 3.09 ERA, 1.16 WHIP As you can see, they carried this guy's jock, and even when they still pitched great, but not as great in the first half, Damaso's numbers were exposed. Cotts: 1st half: 2.86 ERA, 1.13 WHIP 2nd half: 0.70 ERA, 1.09 WHIP

what if you're just looking to add it to your resume and not actually apply anything you learn? You know, just to make you name standout a little bit more. Does the school really matter (ie, University of Phoenix) Also, did you guy have to submit a resume when applying? If so, what did you put as your objective? Did you use the objective for your current job, desired job, or something related to the business school. What exactly are the classes like and how are they graded?

Aww, it's cut down. Can we please bring back; Chicken Littlle award (biggest pessimist) Hawk award (biggest apologist) KW award (armchair GM) Ozzie award (armchair manager) General sports knowledge ???

I guess we're talking about the best car commercial for new vehicles. There's a Kia dealer here in Des Moines giving a Rio for free when you purchase some other kind of crappy Kia.

Why should I disprove your claim of facing him facing the AAA Tigers? I never made that comment. I simply said Gavin pitches well when certain career minor leaguers or junk like Timo (I don't care how he did, he is a bad player are in Detroit's lineup. You threw out his first two starts which were horrible, and a crappy outing at Yankee stadium. I know he's shown improvement since those times but he was so bad in the beginning it would be impossible for him to get worse. Is 70 innings really a big enough sample size? How about the 178.2 innings in his career with a 6.30 ERA, and 1.64 WHIP. Nothing should be given to this guy with the exception of a chance at the rotation next year. A few late season starts against Timo and the Tigers isn't going to convince me otherwise
-
Is it possible you or some nuclear power company dumping s*** into the local resevoirs will affect my tap water or close the beach on a hot weekend?
-
First off, your wording of "final 55.2 IP" is a joke because he threw 70 innings last year. You basically just tossed out two of his horses*** starts and a crappy appearance in mop up duty at Yankee staduim. The first time he face Detroit he was pounded because Sheff, Magglio, Guillen and Polanco were all in the lineup. Granderson surprisingly went 0-5 Next start, his only win: Sheff was not in the lineup and Sean Casey started out in the 3rd spot, later replaced by Craig Monroe. Mike Hessmanplayed at first and Mike Rabelo was in for I-Roid. 3rd start against them: Maggs and Sheff were not in the lineup. Ryan Raburn was in the third spot. Timo Perez played in the OF and Marcus Thames was the DH batting 8th. 4th Start against them: Timo Perez was batting third. Maggs and Sheff were not in the lineup. If we're going to conveniently throw out bad starts and look at September stats, Jerry Owens should be our leadoff hitter playing CF next season.
-
How about your actions affect the quality of life on other individuals?
-
That's only if Timo is the DH batting third, Hessman is in for Guillen, Sheff and Maggs are on the bench, and Vance Wilson is in for I-Roid. Gavin Floyd sucks. He's out of options, so he shouldn't be viewed as a piece of the future. He should be kept on a very short leash.

I agree. Usually they don't start until after MLK's holiday which is next week.

Any good deals on blu-ray players? I've been watching some on ebay
-
That's due to his huge walk total. It's based on PA's, not at-bats. I'm quoting Gene Honda Civic onthis, but I believe there is a handshake agreement between the Phills and Sox for Philly to pick up money if the option was picked up.

http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/stats/battin...nd=a&pos=3b You are correct. He was first in the AL. However in OPS he ranked 14th in the MLB and 3rd in the AL behind Troy Glaus and the leader, Mr. Unclutch, a man who Hawk Harrelson would take Joe Crede over, A-Rod. Looking at those numbers, the NL third basemen were much more clutch than the AL third baseman that year.
-
Joe Crede with one year left coming off of back surgery = Ervin Santana and Reggie Willits? Yeah, ok. Of regular 3rd basemen, his OBP was 20th out of 22. The only AL guy that made outs at a greater rate was Brandon Inge. A-Rod was better offensively in 2006, and he plays third base.

I laughed how people joke about how much Ron Paul is winning over the "internet crowd" yet then those same candidates and critics talk about how important it is for our nation's youth to vote and participate in the process of making laws. That's exactly what Ron's doing. Call him a "kook" for his stances, but at least he's consistent. I'd rather have that over a flip-flopper.
-
this isn't WSI We knew he'd be a failure. He knew what was going on in CF when he signed here. He's still living off 2000. he's still living off being a "grinder" and getting hurt as if it's a good thing. His toughness is also linked to his college days as a freaking punter.

Welllllllllllellllll....well it's the Big Show!!! -
Dude, the carrot thing was supposed to be like Buggs Bunny. It was a cartoonish version of a cliche action films. Buggs Bunny = Cartoons. Get it yet? Juno was good, but I thought it was rated R. The show was packed with kids that probably had no clue what the hell was going on, and they wouldn't STFU.
