When I saw the heading "Wrestling Pictures", I thought maybe I'd get to see Dick the Bruiser or The Crusher, or Baron VonRaschke, etc., What a letdown.

The Sox are in a bad division, I agree. But, we don't have the Reds, Brewers and/or Pirates to beat up on like the cubs do. Their division ain't that great either. Sox will win 92 games and the AL Central. Then they'll get pummelled in the opening round of the AL playoffs. (Cubs will win 82 games, finish 3rd...NO PLAYOFFS!) :fthecubs

I read that KW wanted Cito, but JR wanted Ozzie. Cito may not be a high-energy-guy, but he has managed World Series winners!

JR is a businessman, first and foremost. If he wasn't making a substantial profit off of the Sox, he'd have sold them a long time ago!

I am not a fan of either guy, as managers. The Sox should have gone for a more experienced manager, i.e. Gaston, Valentine, etc. The Cubs didn't make the Series last year, mostly because Dust got outmanaged in a big way. The interview will suck because, you can't understand Ozzie half the time, and Dusty doesn't have anything intelligent to say.

They were both hired cuz they'd work a lot cheaper than an experienced manager/coach would have. Money is THE only reason Cito Gaston isn't managing the Sox.

Jack McKeon outmanaged the hell out of Dusty. If Dusty knew how to handle a pitching staff, the cubs would have been in the Series last year. He had Clement and Zambrano ready in the Pen...never thought to use 'em! Maybe he was saving them for Games 8 and 9?!

The question is, why are the cubs #1? Their team defense is horrid. Especially at LF, RF, C, 2B, and 3B. Their "ace" is hurt, Clement isn't 100%. They strike out too much. They have no lead off hitter. Their "genius" manager has no idea how to handle a pitching staff. Their CF is a "health-question mark". I say they will finish in 3rd place, and will not make the playoffs. :fthecubs

The key is, does Ozzie's enthusiasm make up for his lack of experience? Keep in mind, that he won't have Nossek to rely on, just other coaches who are equally inexperienced.
