  1. Anyone notice that there are only four (4) half-price Monday nights?
  2. Anyone figure out how the Bears can draft Robert Gallery???
  3. Thank you for correcting me! BTW, how do you know?
  4. I thought I read it on ESPN!
  5. Hey Sportsfans! Keep in mind that IF we trade Frank for Odalis Perez: 1) we lose 35+ hrs, 120 rbis, at a bargain price of $6 million; AND 2) Odalis Perez is a free agent after the 2004 season, will want a big $, multiyear contract, and will leave, ala Colon! Do you still like this deal?
  6. Why do the people on this site take Apu's word as the Gospel, and at the same time, don't even read my postings (yet feel the need to comment on my postings? Is it because you guys know Apu? Friendship is thicker than fact, I guess!
  7. "The Jewish People base their claim to Israel on (at least) 4 premises: 1) G-d promised the land to the patriarch Abraham; 2) the Jewish people settled and developed the Land; 3) the international community granted sovereignty in Palestine to the Jewish people and 4) the territory was captured in DEFENSIVE wars." Even after the destruction of the Second Temple in Jerusalem and the beginning of the exile (70 A.D.) , Jewish life in "Palestine" continued/flourished. Large Jewish communities were reestablished in Jerusalem and Tiberias by the 9th Century...in the 11th Century , Jewish communities grew in Rafah, Gaza, Ashkelon, Jaffa and Caesarea. The Crusaders massacred many Jews in the 12th Century, but the community rebounded in the next 2 centuries due to heavy Jewish immigration. Israel's international "birth certificate" was validated by the promise of the Bible; uninterrupted Jewish settlement from the time of Joshua onward; the Balfour Declaration of 1917; the League of Nations Mandate, which incorporated the Balfour Declaration; the UN partition resolution of 1947; Israel's admission to the UN in 1949; the recognition of Israel by most other states; and, most of all, the society created by Israel's people in decades of thriving, dynamic national existance." Mitchell Bard - "Myth and Facts...A Guide to the Arab-Israeli Conflict
  8. Texsox...I am NOT going to go off again...Apu (as usual) is 100% wrong, so I'm not gonna argue with him, and the rest of the pro-terrorists! Suffice it to say, since it was NEVER "palestinian" land, Israel could not have stolen it from the "palis", so, Apu's theories are wrong from the start! (He likes to quote such "reliable" sources as Al Jazeera and the BBC!) Take care!!!
  9. Please read the commentary titled, "Israeli Good Deed Only Brings More Punishment". The author has an excellant insight to this problem. (I would have "linked" it here, but I am "computer-illiterate", and don't know how to do so.) Shalom to you all!
  10. I wish the Bears could find a way to get Gallery!!! He's a stud!
  11. I wouldn't expect you to care, cuz you're an ass. I didn't know ethic "jokes" were cool on this website!
  12. That "joke" is insensitive!
  13. Amen Ishmookie! You are 1000% correct.
  14. I think the bottom line re. homeland security is...if you have nothing to hide, then there's no problem. I have yet to have one person complain about having to have their fingerprints and photographs taken when entering the US, in fact, most people say they think it's a good idea, and wish more people had to register.
  15. 1. Israel is NOT the only issue about which I care. 2. Bush is raping the environment, killing the economy, destroying the lower and middle classes, trying to take away Freedom of Choice, re. abortion, etc., these, among other reasons are why I wouldn't vote for Bush. Note: While I do think Bush is pro-Israel, I think he is a hypocrite. Bush says he's at war against terrorism, then claims he wants Bin Laden and/or Hussein "DEAD OR ALIVE". But when Israel was making noise about taking Arafat out, Bush condemns the Israelis. (Arafat is as brutal, if not more brutal than Bin Laden and Hussein, and is a "career-terrorist".) Just more "Bush double-speak"!
  16. KW is a puppet, no more, no less. Reinsdorf has his hand up KW's ass and tells him what to say/do. That is a JR trait; that's why, except for Scott Skiles, he has never hired a manager or coach who had managerial or coaching experience on a major league level. (That's why everyone should have known that Cito Gaston was never gonna get the Sox job!). Same goes for his GMs too! JR needs total control. Steve Rosenbloom made a very interesting comment this morning on The Score, re. why JR should sell the Sox. Rosenbloom compared JR to a poker player trying to play high stakes poker with $20 in his pocket. You need to either get more money, or find a low stake game!
  17. Did Ventura rip him, or was that still during the Scheuler era? I do know he had some parting shots for the Sox too!
  18. Since I am not going back to that OTHER thread (saps too much energy!), I want to respond to something here. Someone asked me yesterday, "If I don't like Barry Manilow, does that mean I am an Anti-Semite? Of course not, BUT, if you don't like him solely because he is Jewish, then you are an anti-Semite. Make sense?
  19. Cuz I love America too! Even though we have a schmuck for a Prez!
  20. Please read my response to Kapkomet towards the bottom of page 18...hopefully this will be my last posting re. this subject. That is my stance on the subject. Out.
  21. I believe he meant there would never be another Holocaust. As for the list of companies, I am still looking. I'm glad that you feel that there is no racism, no anti-Semitism, no sexism, etc., in the world, "your world" must be in a happy place. Enjoy Fantasyland!
