  1. Our history is referring to United States history. I don't find his statement outrageous or uncalled for. I do not understand why you are trying to downplay what happened.
  2. That 3 game series won't mean anything one way or the other when it comes around. If we don't go 6-3 in our next 9 games against LAA, OAK, and DET we are going to see the wheels fall off quickly. If we win 6 or more of those games we'll pass up the Twins and Tigers and ride into the post-season.
  3. I tried to tell you guys that he would pitch great in the stretch run. Now if only we could take advantage of these starts and win.
  4. Should I start Kurt Warner or Jake Delholme today???
  5. He's starting Wednesday against the A's per Rotoworld.
  6. I want the Tigers to win...Liriano is coming back Wednesday
  7. And I thought this thread was going to inform me that Crede is back in the lineup today

    3 weeks to go

QUOTE(mreye @ Sep 7, 2006 -> 08:25 AM) My wife is due in three weeks with our third child - a third girl. We have yet to agree on a name. I'm opening the floor to suggestions. Here's our rules: 1. Must go well with last name - Noel (said like Knoll - not No-el) 2. Reagan and Amanda are the first two. 3. My first name has 2 A's and both our girls, unintentionally, have at least 2 A's. So, we thought it might be neat to have this one have 2 A's. (I know it's dorky.) Help me out, Soxtalk! Mr doesn't have 2 A's.
  9. QUOTE(Dick Allen @ Sep 1, 2006 -> 03:21 PM) Wasn't Harry Caray adored and wasn't he a homer? I'm sorry, any White Sox fan who b****es about Hawk being a homer is really just looking for things to complain about. John Rooney was a homer and he just gets praised and praised and praised. I for one, would rather listen to a guy calling a game that wants the same results I do. Some of Hawk's calls this year have been priceless. The way he belts out Joe Crede when Crede does something spectacular is so good it has to be geniune. Hawk does go overboard with the umpires sometimes, and goes out of his way on occassion not to rip the Sox, but he's also been very candid, and wants the Sox to win just as bad as any of us do. If Bill Simmons doesn't like it, he doesn't have to go out of his way to listen to it. Harry Caray was not a homer. He would rip into the organization regularly and that was why he left the team. He insulted the players, coaches, and management. Hawk, on the other hand, kisses their ass for the most part.
  10. I don't know if it's been mentioned anywhere, but with AJs homer today, the Sox are the first team in MLB history to have 200 home runs in 7 straight seasons.
  11. That's uncalled for Pauly. I just got back from school, where's Thome??
  12. QUOTE(SinkingShip06 @ Aug 30, 2006 -> 09:08 PM) HAHHAHAHAHAHAHA f***ING KARMA!!! GO TIGERS ?
  13. 10 LOB in 6 innings. I don't think I've ever seen such a thing.
  14. I f****** called off work to watch this game tonight. F You pods
  15. Why is Proctor in the game for the Yankees? Did I miss something with Rivera?
  16. Has it come to this? We need the other team to help us out? MAKE IT HURT FOR ONCE TONIGHT BOYS!
  17. QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Aug 30, 2006 -> 08:51 PM) If we can get to 3 games going into september we will surely scare the crap out of the tigers. 3.5 tonight barring comebacks from the Twins and Tigers. Of course we have to make up more runs than both those teams combined.
  18. lol Hawk made me chuckle there. What is he gonna do with all those beautiful women?
  19. Does anybody here listen to the Soxcast podcasts? I just found it a few weeks ago and subscribed to it, for free of course. It's a good 10-20 discussion about the Sox and would be great for out-of-towners to listen to.
  20. How can a team look this flat after knowing a win could get us within 3.5 of the Division and 1.5 up on the Twins??
