  1. QUOTE(kapkomet @ Dec 10, 2006 -> 04:24 PM) Oh, but Rex, I thought they weren't going to waste their time on all the inquiries and all that crap? I thought they were "going to be above the fray"? Pluuuuuheeease. Anyone want to start an over/under when the censure/impeachment s*** starts up? I give it a month or 2. Maybe 3 on the outside. Theres a lot of budget work that needs to get done.
  2. QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Dec 10, 2006 -> 04:10 PM) It's easy to say after today, but the Chargers will run ALL OVER the Colts if they meet up in the playoffs. Could get ugly. HO HO. Id love to see that game. The ass whooping administered there would be a thing of total and complete beauty.
  3. Chargers set to kick off against Denver. Should be an awesome game.
  4. QUOTE(Jordan4life_2006 @ Dec 10, 2006 -> 03:05 PM) It's not even close. Colts. Agree. At least the Bears can stop people on defense. The Colts would play better defense if they didnt even take the field. Colts should start reserving those tee times now. The word is out on these guys. You run and play ball control offense against them and they are done.
  5. Whats up with Miami beating New England 21-0 late? Thats up for the shocker of the week.
  6. WOW. Indy is getting f***KKKKKKKKKKKKKKKED UP!!!!!!!!!!!! 31-10 J-Ville Clears throat. OOOOOOOOOVERRRRRRRR RAAAAAAAAAAAAAATED CLAP.....CLAP...........CLAP-CLAP-CLAP
  7. QUOTE(gosox41 @ Dec 10, 2006 -> 09:55 AM) I'd rather keep Garland and trade Vazquez. Also, if the Sox do trade Garalnd, I hope he gets traded to the NL Central which pretty much means St Louis or Houston. I'd also like to screw over the Cubs. Bob If the Sox dump Vazquez they'll have to eat a big part of his salary. They wont do that IMO. I agree with you though that getting rid of Garland should be the last thing the Sox do as he was their most effective pitcher last season.
  8. Ive been reading about cases in several cities in the newspapers where parents of white children were required by school boards to send their kids to poor black areas. To me that's the wrong answer. Government shouldn't be forcing families, be it whatever race, to bus their kids miles away when there is a school right around the corner.
  9. QUOTE(GoRowand33 @ Dec 4, 2006 -> 02:51 PM) with the playoff spot locked up, we might as well let grossman figure it out, because now he really can't hurt us if we are committed to having him as our quarterback why would we bail out on him now? we all know he has a potential to be great, so I think he can turn it around if he keeps playing like this come playoff time, then put in griese (who I doubt would be better than orton) on another note, I'm pretty interested in Tony Romo. Espn seems to be drooling over him right now, calling the cowboys NFC favorites, but I'll be shocked if he doesn't struggle later on in the year He had a pretty rough outing against the Giants.
  10. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Dec 4, 2006 -> 11:52 AM) But when you go in with that belief as your primary outlook, then that prevents you from being able to squeeze any good out of what there actually is in that organization, and it makes it easier for everyone else to demonize you. You don't get people to enforce resolutions by walking into a room, yelling out "You all have no balls to enforce resolutions", and then asking people to join you in doing things. Some people may not like it, and to the "with us or against us at all costs" crowd such nuance is sickening, but that doesn't mean that no good can come from it, and that doesn't mean that doing the opposite won't make things worse. Whats the matter with calling a spade a spade? If the EU nations and others are too cowardly to stand behind their own sanctions that what is Bolton supposed to do? Give em the red badge of courage? Fact is that the U.N. is a completely inept organization and its for the exact reason that Bolton so colorfully espoused.
  11. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Dec 3, 2006 -> 08:21 PM) Not in the least. Which, given the fact that the people reconstructing the levees were given a full free year with no hurricane threats by El Nino, is absolutely pathetic. Do you or anyone else know exactly what the status is down there?
  12. QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ Dec 3, 2006 -> 06:31 PM) So the bears suck harder in both the playoffs AND regular season. Way to make a point. The Bears also haven't been annointed ( at least until earlier this year ) as the be-all, end-all, invincible juggernaut of a football team as the Colts were. Hence the whole OVERRRRR........RRRRATED CLAP...CLAP... CLAP-CLAP-CLAP
  13. QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ Dec 3, 2006 -> 04:21 PM) Bears Playoff victories since 1991: 1 (1994 Steve Walsh vs. Minnesota) Colts Playoff victories since 1991: 5 Colts also have 8 playoff appearances since 1991 while the Bears have 4. Colts are the consummate regular season team...........and absolutely HORRIBLE, I MEAN STINKY HORRIBLE when it counts.
  14. QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Dec 3, 2006 -> 03:07 PM) As a Colts fan, I don't care. Our season starts in January. If you guys hold true to form then your seasons are the shortest out of anybody. OVERRRR...............RRRRATED CLAP.............CLAP CLAP-CLAP-CLAP OVERRRR...............RRRRATED CLAP.............CLAP CLAP-CLAP-CLAP
  15. QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Dec 3, 2006 -> 03:01 PM) No, no he didn't. Who cares. Indy lost to Freekin Tennesee. Lets go boys chant with me. OVERRRR...............RRRRATED CLAP.............CLAP CLAP-CLAP-CLAP OVERRRR...............RRRRATED CLAP.............CLAP CLAP-CLAP-CLAP
  16. Happy B-Day to my arch-nemesis. Have a good one bud!
  17. QUOTE(CubKilla @ Nov 23, 2006 -> 11:49 AM) Start a career as a rapper HAHA!!!! OWNED!! QUOTE(whitesox07champs @ Nov 22, 2006 -> 11:14 PM) People in this country are so damn sensitive. Now I know it looks like Richards said the "N" word before anyone called him a "cracker" or a "white boy", but you see SO MANY comedians(mostly blacks and latinos) take shots at white people in the stands. And what do they do, they laugh and they dont take it as an insult. But everyone has become so sensitive over everything now a days. Now im Mexican, there is a lot of jokes thrown at us now a days about the border and immigration. Im not going to get mad, I would laugh if I heard a good joke being made about us. But some people take more offense than others. People that can make fun of another races and be congratulated and the others make fun of the other race and are viewed as Racists. Chappelle, Rock, Mencia, Lopez, they all kill the whites in they're shows and the whites are just supposed to sit there and take it. Im sorry but that is not right. And some african american people I know say "Well he talked about us hanging from trees!(refering to the lynchings). Well guess what Thousands of my people are STILL dying to this day trying to cross the border and we still get jokes about it, do I mind NOT REALLY. Im sorry if this offends anybody, but this is what I think. Do not get me wrong what Richards said was wrong, but if he cant say it then nobody else should either. This about sums it up for me. How hypocritical is it for certain people to hurl racial epithets about others and it be considered funny or cool then have those same people start screaming "RACIST!!!" like a stuck pig when someone says something about them.
  18. QUOTE(NorthSideSox72 @ Nov 21, 2006 -> 04:36 PM) I'm guessing Nuke isn't going to vote for me. And I don't think Nuke would have written that. I think he's more of a softie then he lets on. I never discuss who Im going to vote for before the election.
  19. QUOTE(Gregory Pratt @ Nov 21, 2006 -> 03:06 PM) Not to be, ah, disrespectful to Minors, but the op-ed was something he'd write and I know there are plenty of others who would write it. I would have wrote it.
  20. QUOTE(juddling @ Nov 21, 2006 -> 01:58 PM) We didn't really..i think Nuke was refering to the comment the one guy made about us understanding 'their' laws and traditions. They are in our country..how about they observe OUR laws and accept the consequence when they break those laws or rules. Why is it that we should always go out of our way to accomodate them and their rules. Exactly. Im sick and tired of hearing Muslims whine that America is not tolerant enough of them when they are openly IN-tolerant of everything that doesn't fit in with what's written in the Koran ( or their own warped interpetation of it ).
  21. QUOTE(juddling @ Nov 21, 2006 -> 11:13 AM) "Three of them stood and said their normal evening prayers together on the plane, as 1.7 billion Muslims around the world do every day, Shahin said. He attributed any concerns by passengers or crew to ignorance about Islam. " Gee...how nice of AP to leave THAT little fact out ot their story My question here is why should we bend so far backwards to accomodate Islamic Law? This is another example of how these people think their religon is the be all / end all of existence and that nothing else matters. What was stopping these guys from doing their prayers before takeoff? Before they came to the airport? They totally should have been bounced from that flight cause they thumbed their nose at the rules. Maybe if Muslims were more tolerant and accomodating of American Culture ( which still is for the most part tolerant of their culture being a guest in our country ) they would find less hostility to them.
  22. QUOTE(Soxy @ Nov 21, 2006 -> 09:00 AM) And that's pretty much where the nation is, why risk my happiness by doing something (temporary) for my country; a country that will allow me to live (relatively) happily ever after. I agree with the previous posters (including Nuke) that said the draft for purely military means would be a disaster. But I think that the option of civil service is really a great choice. I can't imagine that people in Germany or Switzerland or anywhere else where civil service is mandatory really think their quality of life is in the crapper. Probably they're just less selfish than us and are willing to make a sacrifice for their country. I'm not excepting myself from the selfish comment, when I had the opportunity to do something cool and great like teach for america, I turned it down and I'll regret that decision for a long time. Im all for the concept of some sort of National Service program that was mandatory. Military service could be an option under such a program with those who dont want to put on the uniform given a chance to do something else they find more tasteful.
  23. QUOTE(Rex Kicka** @ Nov 20, 2006 -> 05:15 PM) What's so bad about it? Because you don't want to go if called? No. As Ive stated on here many, many, MANY times......... -The military doesn't want it. The military wants professional soldiers who want to be there, not a bunch of malcontents who don't want to be there and will do nothing but cause problems. -The public doesn't want it. It's hard enough to get people to join the military of their own free will, if you institute a draft and there is no corresponding national emergency then there is a potential to cause a great deal of civil unrest. The draft was a good idea during World War 2 but in these modern times it is an idea who's time has come and gone. A professional, all-volunteer force remains the right answer for defending the country.
  24. Im back from the deserts of Cali and with the holidays and my newly announced ( but we knew about it for a while anyway ) depolyment to Iraq in February I wont have time to campaign effectively so I think I'll just whore myself out for someone's cabinet if I'm wanted. This should be a fun thing to watch.
