We clear some salary...add a front line starter to replace one of the one's we lose...add a bat like Young...add prospects.

I'd be giddy if we got Clemens for a year. I love Roger and he would guarantee sellouts every 5 games.

So, Wisconsin should have lost. If Iowa had any WR's we'd probably be a 2 loss team (only losses to OSU and Michigan). We played hard yet lost. Definately a tough season but they got some legit talent coming in but wow it sucked we couldn't have given Tate some play-makers during his senior year. Wiscy's QB who played for Stocco looked damn good cause without him you guys get demolished (since they had zero rushing game).

The man can flat rake. Sure they gave up a good pitching prospect but last I looked the Tigers have a ton of those and needed that middle of the order bat. They got exactly that in Sheff. He may whine and complain from time to time but when on the field he always produces at an All Star level. Plus he didn't really have any problems in Florida en route to winning the world series with Leyland/Dombrowski. This seems like one of those win/win trades.

That said it would never happen and since there is no guarantee of his health there is no way I'd give him that type of deal, but someone will. He'd be a pretty awesome 2 hole guy (or 3 hole).
