  1. There, Crede made up for that double play with a 2 run homer.
  2. Dye just hits a BOMB to left center and they got back the run Uribe's error gave up.
  3. That error was costly, but Jose has been crap anyway so it doesn't matter. He needs to start pitching good cause he's been mediocre since a few starts before his streak ended.
  4. Cintron hit an absolutely bomb for a 2 run shot.
  5. QUOTE(NUKE_CLEVELAND @ Jul 31, 2006 -> 05:42 PM) GRINDER RULE NUMBER 232: When you get an early lead.............give it right back..........comebacks are more fun anyway.
  6. QUOTE(fathom @ Jul 31, 2006 -> 05:41 PM) And we're living or dying with it....super. It was the right thing to do. Unless we could have acquired another leadoff hitter/left fielder to replace Pods.
  7. Gload saves a bad throw from Uribe and we turn two.
  8. QUOTE(Whitewashed in @ Jul 31, 2006 -> 05:40 PM) One of the most irritating things besides leaving runners stranded is having our pitching give the runs right back after we score. Its what this team does best. What a joke...HBP and now its 3-2. This team sucks.
  9. QUOTE(Heads22 @ Jul 31, 2006 -> 05:39 PM) farmer: "he could have caught that ball" I just rewinded it and watched it again. Most left fielders make that with ease. That ball hung up and he just walked in and started back tracking right at the end playing it fo fall.
  10. QUOTE(BigSqwert @ Jul 31, 2006 -> 05:38 PM) That seemed to hang up in the air while Pods slowly jogged towards it. Thats because he's horrible.
  11. Costa with a good AB (yeahh Fullerton, boo white sox). Pods fishing backs up on the ball. Real good Scotty
  12. QUOTE(BigSqwert @ Jul 31, 2006 -> 05:35 PM) If that was Mack who got it on a hop we'd see 10 posts on how Brian would have caught it. Nah, that was as clean of a single as it gets. Darn...a foot more and its in play for Gload and we'd have two down.
  13. Worse thing..we get runs and we probably give em up. Bases juiced with 1 down. It be nice to turn a timely DP. We did it so well last year, but this year we are the ones hitting into em.
  14. Grudz extended his hitting streak with a single after Dejesus was retired. Royals are playing thin since they made quite a few trades today and the guys they got from the Rockies have not arrived.
  15. Crede breaks his bat and hits into an inning ending double play. However, the Sox did scratch up 3 runs thanks to two walks, a balk, an infield single, a bloop single to CF, and a broken bat single. You gotta like that, they found a way. QUOTE(iguchi=dank @ Jul 31, 2006 -> 05:26 PM) save some runs later in game for burhle's start... Whats it matter, we give them early or late, he's still going to give em back up
  16. Gload is such a good pure hitter. He goes with the pitch and the SS makes a great play but can't throw him out (SS did possibly save a run, doubt it considering it was PK running) and he gets an RBI single. Runners on the corners for CRede

QUOTE(Whitewashed in @ Jul 31, 2006 -> 05:20 PM) Damnit... we need him around these days. I think it will do the team some good. We get a slap hitter up at the 3rd spot in AJ and another one in Gload (plus Gload gives us a bit more speed). I'm not saying good for the long haul, but I think with Thome out Ozzie will not sit on his hands and wait for HR's so we may see him get a little more agressive and that could really help us get jump started before we get Thome back. Well the Royals announcers are now saying that Thome is at the ball park, so he's back from Chicago. They said its unclear whether he'll play tomorrow so it doesn't sound too serious.
  18. Dye doesn't execute and strands them. Popped it up to 2nd base so now its up to Gload with runners on 2nd and 3rd.
  19. That ball was a lot closer to being a strike than the first one.
  20. Dye will get another chance, but that was a horrible ass strike 3 call there. Runners on 2nd and 3rd and its 2-0 with Dye in an 0-2 count.
  21. What the gosh darn was that. There is no way thats a strike. Luckily they called a balk so maybe the strikeout is being taken away.
  22. Ball 4 base hit by Paulie and they are loaded for Dye

    Thome

He hurt his right wrist and was sent to CHicago for treatment. However, the Royals reporters said that he is expected back in Kansas City later tonight and that he'll likely miss at least another game.
  24. Wow, AJ breaks his bat and a grounder goes up the middle and is an RBI single. Runners on the corners for PK
