  1. Pop up to Uribe...2 down runner on 3rd.
  2. QUOTE(SSH2005 @ May 18, 2006 -> 05:14 PM) Well, there's a reason he's hitting .172 with 32 K's and 13 BB's. In general, taking a few pitches sure wouldn't hurt. 13 walks for a guy his age isn't bad. I've watched plenty of Anderson's at bats and he isn't just hacking at first pitches. The guy takes a lot of pitches and finds himself in the hole a lot because his approach could be better (and recently it had gotten better, but he seems to be pulling through the zone a bit quick right now). However in this AB he did everything right. Got the first pitch FB and drilled it..just happened to go right at the 3rd baseman. If you want to bash someone bash them, but don't slam him when he did things RIGHT.
  3. QUOTE(SSH2005 @ May 18, 2006 -> 05:14 PM) Well, there's a reason he's hitting .172 with 32 K's and 13 BB's. Taking a few pitches sure wouldn't hurt. Big whoop. Anyone that didn't expect him to struggle at the plate was a fool. This guy helps our pitching staff in the field (he may already be better then Aaron out there and if he isn't better, he's pretty damn close).
  4. QUOTE(Jimbo @ May 18, 2006 -> 05:13 PM) 1st pitch or 8th, BAis still going to make an out. And he's the 9th hole hitter and one of the best defensive outfielders in the game (in his rookie year). I'm far from concerned. He isn't the reason we won't go to the playoffs (well his bat). If we don't make it to the playoffs it would be on other guys. Ozuna just misplayed one, wasn't necessarily an error though.
  5. QUOTE(SSH2005 @ May 18, 2006 -> 05:11 PM) I was referring to the number of pitches he has been seeing in the game previous to that AB. Big whoop, he got a first pitch fastball and hit it hard. Bases loaded and you have a good shot at seeing a first pitch fastball to drive (since the pitcher doesn't want to fall behind). Anderson swung at it and got it.
  6. QUOTE(SSH2005 @ May 18, 2006 -> 05:10 PM) :banghead He may have broke his bat, but he hit it hard too, just right at Huff. We've been hitting Hendrickson all over the place, problem is a lot of them have been right at the Drays fielders.
  7. Martinez and Berman can't get a freaking name right. Berman has said Jose Uribe a few times already and Martinez has no clue who is on the bases.
  8. QUOTE(Ndgt10 @ May 18, 2006 -> 04:47 PM) Atleast we get to go home and play a s***ty ass, mother-f***ing, cock-sucking, joke of a team with a retard for a manager. Throw the records out when the two teams play. Plus we may be the better team, but we aren't playing good baseball right now. This weekends series is no gimme, especially with the way the Sox are playing right now.
  9. 2 down on a fly out to CF. Ozuna almost ran into Anderson who had called it off.
  10. Javy walks Gomes and now Huff is up. Javy is struggling with his command.
  11. Crede swings at the first pitch fastball that was high and pops out to the 3rd baseman, but it was still a productive inning. Wish Crede was more patient since Hendrickson looked to be off on his command.
  12. Dye hits a sac fly to CF and thats 2-0 Sox.
  13. Konerko gets a 3-0 outside fastball and drills it to dead center field right off the fence for an RBI double. Runners on 2nd and 3rd with 1 out. Lets got another hit and give Vazquez a nice early lead. Hollins had a shot at making this catch.
  14. Infield hit for Thome. Impressive.
  15. QUOTE(Buehrle>Wood @ May 18, 2006 -> 03:42 PM) Where is the default pink skin? Gone...there isn't one for 2.1 yet.
  16. QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ May 18, 2006 -> 03:35 PM) I'm blaming you if the Sox lose. For some reason that made me think of those lame ass survival commercials. "I can't take that ride" Anyway Dye header is now up on both of them and it looks awesome on this gray skin.
  17. QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ May 18, 2006 -> 03:31 PM) I suspect the Dye banner disappeared because it worked so damn well last night. JD had a huge game while being featured as the Soxtalk banner. Tonight Vazquez is on the mound, and the Powers That Be have decided to give him a little extra mojo. Nah, Alex was just too lazy to use the new banner on his new skin. I'll go change it cause the Dye banner is absolutely beautiful.

    Admit it...

Lol, thats why the clicks have gone to from 5 a day to like 35 a day. I've been wondering what the hell happened the last week
  19. QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ May 18, 2006 -> 09:37 AM) Disagree. I think the NLC is the strongest of the NL divisions. I think its in order of East, Central, West. East has the Phils and Mets whom I think are both very good and I still won't write off the Braves. And than there is the West where almost any team in baseball would have a shot.
  20. QUOTE(toonses22 @ May 18, 2006 -> 02:48 PM) I guess I'm getting a lot of hits Try again later...sorry Soxtalk has crashed your site. If someone can post when its back up, I'd love to check it out. By the way, welcome aboard
  21. Looks good Alex. For those wanting a bit more black, the one I've been in development will have a bit more of that. So we should have a nice gray version and a solid black version (i say solid cause I lack creativity, but when I finish finals I'll get it done; my version is about 70% done).
  22. QUOTE(SnB @ May 17, 2006 -> 04:25 PM) pretty calm in the south suburbs. Even calmer in Southern California. Just got back from the local pool.
  23. QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ May 16, 2006 -> 09:31 PM) Count for Montero is obvious of course, but the Nelson being up sooner than we think line....is that an educated guess or do you know something that we don't? Educated guess that makes some sense.
  24. In hindsight...I think tonights outing has spelled an end to Logan. We will see Count back for Montero and than Nelson will be called up. In fact, if the Sox think he's ready, Nelson may be up even sooner than we think.
