  1. QUOTE(Buehrle>Wood @ May 18, 2006 -> 03:42 PM) Where is the default pink skin? Gone...there isn't one for 2.1 yet.
  2. QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ May 18, 2006 -> 03:35 PM) I'm blaming you if the Sox lose. For some reason that made me think of those lame ass survival commercials. "I can't take that ride" Anyway Dye header is now up on both of them and it looks awesome on this gray skin.
  3. QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ May 18, 2006 -> 03:31 PM) I suspect the Dye banner disappeared because it worked so damn well last night. JD had a huge game while being featured as the Soxtalk banner. Tonight Vazquez is on the mound, and the Powers That Be have decided to give him a little extra mojo. Nah, Alex was just too lazy to use the new banner on his new skin. I'll go change it cause the Dye banner is absolutely beautiful.

Lol, thats why the clicks have gone to from 5 a day to like 35 a day. I've been wondering what the hell happened the last week
  5. QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ May 18, 2006 -> 09:37 AM) Disagree. I think the NLC is the strongest of the NL divisions. I think its in order of East, Central, West. East has the Phils and Mets whom I think are both very good and I still won't write off the Braves. And than there is the West where almost any team in baseball would have a shot.
  6. QUOTE(toonses22 @ May 18, 2006 -> 02:48 PM) I guess I'm getting a lot of hits Try again later...sorry Soxtalk has crashed your site. If someone can post when its back up, I'd love to check it out. By the way, welcome aboard
  7. Looks good Alex. For those wanting a bit more black, the one I've been in development will have a bit more of that. So we should have a nice gray version and a solid black version (i say solid cause I lack creativity, but when I finish finals I'll get it done; my version is about 70% done).

QUOTE(SnB @ May 17, 2006 -> 04:25 PM) pretty calm in the south suburbs. Even calmer in Southern California. Just got back from the local pool.
  9. QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ May 16, 2006 -> 09:31 PM) Count for Montero is obvious of course, but the Nelson being up sooner than we think line....is that an educated guess or do you know something that we don't? Educated guess that makes some sense.
  10. In hindsight...I think tonights outing has spelled an end to Logan. We will see Count back for Montero and than Nelson will be called up. In fact, if the Sox think he's ready, Nelson may be up even sooner than we think.

QUOTE(Heads22 @ May 16, 2006 -> 08:59 PM) You mean your hot sister? I'm just going to respond with...my only sister.

QUOTE(thedoctor @ May 16, 2006 -> 06:45 PM) i rollerbladed quite a bit in college. i used to screw around on the ramps and walkways around assembly hall, and those were pretty good places to skate. i don't really do it any more because it f***s with my back. Now, if we tried to grind we'd probably break all our bones since most places put those things on the rails and concrete that prevent you from grinding (if you do your gonna take a nasty spill).

My sister was sick with mono about a year and a half ago and she had a pretty bad case. It ended up coming back and she had it for like 6 weeks. She was miserable. Throat always hurting, no energy and never wanted to eat (but had to). She ate a lot of popsicles and frozen stuff during that time (smoothies and the like. Definately the best thing you can do is rest and pretty much give up the outdoors for a month. Make sure it gets better and just do what the DR orders, otherwise it could get pretty bad. My sisters got bad because she originally thought itw as a cold and did a snowboarding competition and after teh competition she pretty much passed out (fainted) and went to the hospital and thats when they foudn out she had it. The competition pretty much shut her down and the doc siad it made the mono worse.
  14. QUOTE(fathom @ May 16, 2006 -> 07:50 PM) Here's a Logan related question, and something that boggled my mind....why was Logan allowed to stay in the game when it was 3-1, and the bases were loaded with Gomes up? It was obvious that Logan was rattled on the mound. I don't think Ozzie managed Logan very well tonight. I think we will see Logan sent down because he coudln't handle this very situation. Ozzie has handled Logan with baby gloves thus far and wanted to see what Logan could do. He proved he wasn't ready for the big times and I think we'll see some adjustments made where we replace him. Of course I don't think Montero will be the guy replacing him. QUOTE(Friend of Nordhagen @ May 16, 2006 -> 08:11 PM) The issue with Tracey is that he regained his control at Charlotte only when he went back into the rotation. Out of the bullpen, he couldn't find the plate. Maybe they'll bring him up, but my guess is that Sean Tracey is trade bait at the deadline. I didn't see much of the game when Montero pitched (was in and out of the room), but it sure didn't look like he got much defense played behind him, and I did see that he was throwing in the low to mid 90's. What's the problem with him? I'd like to think Tracey needed to get stretched out and lose and because of that he's now found his groove out of the rotation. However, now that he's gotten some confidence I do think he could positively adjust to the pen and help out the Sox in the long term. I don't know if he'd be stellar out of the gate, but I know the talent is there and if Ozzie is patient and careful, we could see him develop into a pretty solid major league reliever.
  15. QUOTE(hi8is @ May 16, 2006 -> 07:56 PM) list them here.... ill start bmac... other then those 2 ABs going back to back, he looked pretty freakin solid! I for one wasn't impressed with Branrdon tonight. His command has been less than stellar all season long and he doesn't throw his curve enough. Its a good pitch that he seems to have lost confidence in. I think this start (mixed with the extended outing last week) will help Brandon get things figured out though. He needs to get more consistent work so he can get things straigthened out and go back to developing into a future front line starter. As far as Logan goes, it was just a disastrous performance tonight. Mental errors, actual errors, lack of command...just an ugly ugly performance. Hell it was a terrible performance by the entire team, but I'd rather have it all go wrong today than something else little every day this week. A loss counts as just 1 loss no matter how bad you get whooped or how bad you play.
  16. Great piece Alex. I think you really summed up exactly what Aaron meant to the Sox and what he brings to the Phillies. I know I will ALWAYS cheer for Rowand, regardless of the uni he wears. He left everything out on the field every game he played in Chicago and he'll do the same every other place he goes to. As Sox fans we were lucky to watch him play in Chicago and he'll always be welcome back to the Southside.

QUOTE(RockRaines @ May 16, 2006 -> 12:10 PM) I actually used to play rollerhockey alot as a kid and also rode a decent amount of skate parks and half pipes. Even to the point that I was riding some pipes when I was in the Netherlands playing soccer. It was a good time. Ya, we built ramps when we were kids and would do jumps in the street as well as grind rails and curbs. I wore the hell out of my blades. Plus played a bit of roller hockey and we used to always play ditch em on roller blades.

  19. QUOTE(MEANS @ May 15, 2006 -> 06:28 PM) what's Crede's contract situation, is he a F/A next year? Ya, IIRC we have his rights for one more season.
  20. QUOTE(Molto @ May 15, 2006 -> 05:48 PM) you are such a liar, jas. you practically threatened not to do the show unless Sanford and Son was played. it's like that every week with you, all these damn demands like you are some big time celebrity... Next time I want you to airmail me an italian beef sandwich and some of your moms pasta, otherwise I'm going to holdout and not do a show.
  21. QUOTE(TheHammer @ May 15, 2006 -> 04:42 PM) Hunter is every bit the defender that Jones is. Both make impossible plays look easy. The difference is everyone has been saying Jones was incredible in the field since the guy was 20 and the fact that he lived up to the hype has made it common for people to say things like yeah hes the greatest ever maybe even though they really don't have much basis for that claim. They are both elite, both are about as good as you could expect a human being to be at playing center field. Jones can go in better than anyone and he's still amazing going back. I think thats the major difference of Andruw Jones and anyone else.
  22. So I finished up both of my final papers today. About 35 pages total between the two of them. Rest of the group has other stuff to do, but my parts are finished. So now I just got to show up to my classes this week and than got the last finals of my collegiate career next week.
  23. QUOTE(Greg The Bull Luzinski @ May 15, 2006 -> 03:18 PM) Why would the Twins been stupid enough to trade their star player to their greatest division rival. They wouldn't. Stupid questions deserve stupid answers. So I shouldn't ask what your name is??
  24. QUOTE(Kalapse @ May 15, 2006 -> 03:05 PM) Speaking of former White Sox first round picks who played for southern schools in college our future LF/trade bait Josh Fields is f***ing lighting it up like noones business, went 5 for 5 last night with 2 bombs and a double. Yep...he's turning into a STUDLY prospect.
