Vince Young will turn pro
Where...Tennessee. Well if Leinart goes #2 than I think Tenn takes Young. I still think Leinart goes ahead of Young.

Is going to cry when Iowa beats the Hoosiers at least once this year

Films
I ended up seeing Hostel last night. Its essentially a porn movie. Lots and lots of breasts in the movie (Lik the whole 1st half) and I can safely say that was the only decent part of the movie (the girls were hot). The movie had some laughs, but it was pretty pathetic. Oh and not that bad gore wise. One part was really gory and made the part of the body they cut hurt like hell. I'd say D movie at best. Speaking of NetfLix, they screwed up and instead of giving me land of the dead I got something like House of the Dead (or Cabin of the Dead). I only watched like 20 minutes of it, but it was seriously one of the most pathetic things I've ever seen (it dealt with these people on a boat that went to an island and zombies were on it). TERRIBLE.

Draft Order Is In
QUOTE(SnB @ Jan 8, 2006 -> 10:42 AM) the texans need an entire football team basically. I'd trade the pick for as many draft picks as they can get. I'd probably do the same. However, if they could find a team thats picking high that wants the #1 pick where they could gain a couple picks and move down to say 4 or 5 and still draft D'Brickshaw, well than thats what I'd do. It was clear to me that the Texans problems stemmed 1st and foremost from a terrible offensive line. D'Brickshaw would be a big time move to help solve the problem. The guy is a STUD.

QUOTE(WilliamTell @ Jan 8, 2006 -> 11:33 AM) Panthers up 10-0 at half. They are killing the Giants, just smothering them defensively. That said, its still a winnable game for the G-Men.

QUOTE(SnB @ Jan 8, 2006 -> 10:16 AM) you know what, in the fall when i was betting pretty constantly, i ended up making a 10 dollar profit after about 4 months of fluctuating, Guess it was alot of luck because i'm downright awful when i post on here. Nah, I think you tend to make more bold predictions. If you see the chance of an upset your willing to pick it, yet if you were gambling or something was on the line you'd be a little more conservative. But you are well known on here. I bet people have strategies on betting, if you predict it, take the opposite and you should be in good shape

QUOTE(SnB @ Jan 8, 2006 -> 10:06 AM) hehe Don't worry, aside from that awful USC-UCLA pick, I'm pretty accurate when it comes to football. Of course I'll probably jinx myself and stink it up here. I will admit I was downright atrocious during this bowl run. But this year I've flat out owned in my NFL picks contest with my dad (against the spread). I'm at 64% right on the year (don't ask me how either cause I started the year horrid).

QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Jan 8, 2006 -> 10:08 AM) As a Bears fan - Go Giants! The Giants scare the absolute hell out of me as a Bears fan. Tiki Barber = AMAZING and I do think the Bears have a weakness when it comes to the run. I know it hasn't necessarily shown at times, but if you can run outside you can have some sort of success (ie Samkon Gado). But I guess I'm the only one who was worried at how easily the Packers shredded our defense (not once, but twice). Luckily we were able to force some turnovers. However, we did whoop the Falcons but that isn't saying much considering they absolutely folded down the stretch.

QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Jan 8, 2006 -> 02:45 AM) Am I the only one who really likes othella? Anyways, hopefully they're starting to get some s*** turned around, I'll be back at the UC on Monday so I expect a good showing against the red hot Raptors(that felt weird to say). I remember hating him early last season, but I have came to the realization that he's going to have to step it up and play like he has the past couple games if the Bulls are going to consisnently put together wins. I really like the new lineup and lately I have to also give Ben Gordon some credit. He's looked much much better since entering the starting lineup and has had a much better shot selection.

LHP Chad Bentz
QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Jan 8, 2006 -> 09:48 AM) I really dont think anyone is expecting Bentz or Redding or whoever else they sign to be a rock in the pen. If they are, then they are overrated Cooper in a big way. Its a very low risk signing, that could turn out to benifit the club in some way. Wasnt Ozuna basically brought in like this? Exactly, if you can ocassionally get these type of moves to pan out than it makes it all worth while and the Sox have found a few people this way over the past couple years that helped give the club quality players to round out the every day roster. I remember when this guy came up with the Expos. As far as Bentz goes. He was a 7th round selection and while he hasn't put up great numbers in the majors, he was semi rushed. His main problem appears to be command. Or at least that was the case in 04 with the Expos where he made 36 appearances with a 5.86 ERA. He gave up just 23 hits in 27.2 innings but also walked 23 while striking out 18. He also gave up a whopping 5 HR.

Welcome aboard to the both of ya. Great to have two more Sox fans on board. Hopefully 2006 will be something like 2005

Are you biased?
I don't know. For me I noticed it was easier when white and good were together. I think thats the whole point of the thing. Your able to score faster depending on what you associate things as. Thats my guess though and don't ask me why I got the results cause I am definately not a racist, but my guess is this is the typical association most white people make. But my results showed: Your data suggest a moderate automatic preference for White compared to Black.

QUOTE(THEWOOD @ Jan 7, 2006 -> 01:34 PM) How can you rule out OSU?? Well they have the schedule to win the big 10. Ie playing the worse schools in the big 10 twice. However I don't see them being able to go deep in the tourney but they can very well prove me wrong. I'm far from an expert. But I'd put them in a similar boat as the rest of the Big 10 teams. Ie strong but not strong enough.

QUOTE(SnB @ Jan 7, 2006 -> 01:06 PM) the defense was there today, but when no one steps up and does anything on offense your going to lose. This is the same thing we saw on thursday, except no one stepped up on offense. Hard loss to take especially because I know this isn't just a fluke thing, this could happen a few more times this season. Your beatable, just like every team in the Big 10 is this year. Its a deep conference basketball wise, but aside from Michigan State and potentially Indiana, I don't see any team capable of making that big time tourney run. The Illini are strong defensively, but they aren't the team they once were. The defense is what is going to make them one of the 2 best in the big 10, but someone other than Dee is going to step it up cause he's going to have off-nights (Freeman, Henderson and Horner did an outstanding job on him).

QUOTE(SnB @ Jan 7, 2006 -> 11:02 AM) jason, i think that beard of yours has ruined some brain cells. Ahh...I'm glad you showed up in this thread How about my Hawkeyes. I know they got the talent and they really stepped it up tonight. Played very strong defense and overcame missing some open shots early in the game. Played very strong in the 2nd half and withstood a short run by the Illini and then brought things back in control. Really great performance. People forget Iowa had 2 of there losses without Horner whose one of our key players. Really big win to once again get me pumped up about the Hawkeyes. We have a quality team that can make some noise. Will they, I don't know, but an awesome win.

Buerhle says no to WBC
Its a cool concept, the problem is when it comes to pitching you just can't afford to have guys making millions of dollars putting extra stress on there arms. Its hard enough for a full season, let alone adding to it. I'd like to see some sort of tourney but use minor leaguers. It would be a great opportunity for minor league players and would allow for fans to follow minor leaguers. Of course it wouldn't have the star names that would probably be required to sell seats (at least in the US) but I bet in Japan and other venues they would have no trouble putting fans in the seats.

QUOTE(q\/\/3r+y @ Jan 7, 2006 -> 10:26 AM) You must really be an illini fan if you are willing to do that... Nah, we are due for a big win. Iowa usually plays up to its competition and Alford is again getting near the brink of being gone so he's going to find a way to save his job. Its going to start with a win against the Illini. This is a talented Iowa squad, it just happens to be ruined with a s***ty coach.

My guess is that both Javier and Freddy will be in the classic, but I do think its good news that Mark is going to be with the Sox during ST.
