QUOTE(Goldmember @ Aug 13, 2005 -> 08:05 PM) everytime i see her i think of hey dude... I do the same. I always thought she was pretty cute way back than.
  5. Try it and see if it works now? I may of gotten it fixed, but at the same time if that doesn't work, we definately need to know your home IP addie so if we can see if a similar Ip addie was banned and is causing you trouble getting on (in which case we'll correct it).
  6. I should add, I'll throw up if they had a #1 overall selection. This offseason the Bears need to target a QB via free agency. I know they may be tight on caproom, but if that happens to be Drew Brees, than so be it. Find a way. This defense is too good to sit around and wait for a QB to develop. The time is now and the Bears are going to need to build a decent offense around some of this defense and start doing it now. Now if Hutch and Orton or even Grossman do well and lead the Bears to the playoffs this year, than I'll have less of an issue with that. Regardless, I'm not a proponent of drafting a QB 1st overall...now I'd consider it if they had a latter pick and things were looking alright and my mind could change a year from now, but I want to see a legit qb brought in if things don't work out well for the Bears. I love the potential of the entire defense and its at a point where the Bears won't be able to afford to wait for a guy like Leinart to go through his ups and downs (plus he's gonna be gone #1 overall if he stays healthy all year) and there is no way in hell the Bears are going to be the worse team in the league. NONE. In fact, I still think the Bears are right in the thick of the playoff race and I've said this a few times now. They are a better team than they were last year. They didn't have Rex last year and they don't have him this year. The difference is this year you at least have Hutchinson will a full year of training camp, you have a better system, a better line, a better RB core, a better receiving core and the same horrid ass TE core (unless Clark can stay healthy and stop fumbling the darn ball). Fact of the matter is with or without Rex, this offense is quite a few notches better than last years offense and I'm convinced this years defense is better. Although I do think they are very thin in the CB area and could be in deep crap if Vasher/Tillman/Zoom go out for an extended period of time (I've yet to see enough of the backups to show me they would be able to even come in and do anything remotely decent). I am starting to dig Wilson, seems to find his way into plays thus far in the preseason (THE LB). Right now I'm finally watching the 2nd exhibition game.
  7. QUOTE('94WorldChamps @ Aug 14, 2005 -> 10:38 AM) Meh, Ozzie's "reasons" are usually as arbitrary as they are back-firey. The man is a moron - just look and listen to him, then watch his manage. Luckily, the pitching is manager-proof at this moment, so we're well positioned to win. But I am sure he'll run the arms into the ground sooner than later. Daver eh
  8. Until I see Tillman, Vasher and Zumah do it in the regular season, I will have my doubts on the secondary. I love the talent of Tillman and Vasher, but Tillman was lousy last year (he's looking better this year) and I want to see how Vasher does his 2nd year.
  9. QUOTE(JimH @ Aug 14, 2005 -> 07:35 AM) Well, any time, how about that user id question, don't pass that one up ... Asshole, headcase, it's all the same. I don't differentiate because either way they won't make it. Or very seldom will they make it. He didn't have it between the ears, and that's a big concern with Honel too. He is not on the 40 man right now and I'm not certain they'll put him back on. If he rose from the dead, I would say life support. Whisler ... project ... yes, and it's a fair criticism to point a finger at the Sox scouting and drafting because he probably could have been picked down lower. But yes, you are correct, he could turn it around. I see Wyatt Allen all over him though ... a project with a great arm who didn't get it done. I think saying Wyatt Allen is a compliment to Whisler. I'm just not a fan, but hopefully I'm wrong and I still can't knock that draft cause I like the what the Sox did. They got themselves some quality lefties.
  10. QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Aug 14, 2005 -> 09:55 AM) Way to steep. MAYBE put Tracy in the deal insted of Brandon, and maybe I would bite, but maybe not even then. I'd rather have Chad Tracy to begin with. He can play somewhere other than 1st if necessary (although I'd rather have him at 1st all the time), has more power, can still hit for average and is developing and improving eye. Tracy right now: .293 AVG, .343 OBP, .878 OPS, 18 HR, 46 RBI's. He only has 351 AB's and is projected over his full season to hit 25 HRs and knock in 63. However, if he had a normal amount of AB's in a full season (around 600), he'd have over 30 HR's and is just 25 years old and making the league minimum. Seems like everyone thinks the Dbacks are more willing to get rid of him too. I'd consider dealing Duque and a good prospect (Dbacks seem interested in picking up some more pitching) or even Duque and Marte for him, opening up some room for McCarthy in the 5th starters spot (and believe me, the Sox think quite highly of Brandon) and than free up a few more million bucks to add a reliever to replace Marte (who I think has found the doghouse). Plus Tracy swings the stick from the left side of the plate and the Sox would still have the option of resigning Konerko and you could have Konerko DH at times as well, Crede could get the ocassional DH spot and Tracy would get tons of Ab's. It would be way better than dealing for Overbay cause I think Tracy will be the superior player as well.
  11. QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ Aug 14, 2005 -> 09:49 AM) Anderson and BMac for Overbay? Sounds a bit steep but I would do it. I'd throw up. I'd rather have Chad Tracy.
  12. QUOTE(sircaffey @ Aug 14, 2005 -> 07:21 AM) Rowand to lead off then? I can't imagine Ozzie using Pablo or Timo at leadoff for any extended period of time. Also, Pablo sucks. Timo>>Pablo. If Pablo slaps another weak grounder to 2B again, I may throwup. I can imagine it and I can see him using Timo there. For cripes sakes he's willing to hit Timo in the 5th spot. :headshake
  13. QUOTE('94WorldChamps @ Aug 14, 2005 -> 06:44 AM) Matt Lawton or Ray Durham anyone? (too late on the former) The Cubs will not cut a deal with the Sox that could potentially help them win the series.
  14. Plus sign and trades are non-existent in baseball.
  15. QUOTE(winodj @ Aug 13, 2005 -> 01:58 PM) Just so you know, the Highlander is available in hybrid and nonhybrid form. The difference in MPG is about 11 miles to the gallon. If you drive 12000 miles a year. Annual gas savings with an average gas price of 2.20 per gallon would be about 700 dollars. My annual savings would be 2100 dollars. The difference in price is about 7 grand between the two cars. It's not really economical unless you drive 35,000+ miles a year. If I went from the xB to the Prius, id save on average about 15 mpg. My annual savings would be 700 dollars a year driving 36,000 miles a year. The difference in price between the two cars is about 5,000 dollars. It's just not economical for me. In two years though, the prices will be about equal - at least with Toyota. Thats when it will start making sense.
  16. QUOTE(SnB @ Aug 13, 2005 -> 01:44 PM) meh, it's the NFL so the bears do have a shot, you're right. But this was an average team before, now its an average team without a quarterback. They were a healthy Urlacher from the playoffs (potentially) last season. Right now they have a healthy Url, a healthy Brown and a healthy Ogun. That makes the defense better, plus Tommie Harris has a year under his belt. Offensively the Bears have a better oline and a better system. A better WR core (by far), just as crappy tight ends and a better running duo (if Benson signs). This is a better team than last year, which was a team that wasn't that far off to be honest. It wasn't pretty, but the Bears still have a shot.
  17. I wouldn't pay 12000 bucks more for it. In fact I woudln't pay 3000 more for it which is about what it costs now to get a hybrid. Financially it doesn't make sense cause unless you drive a total assload, its going to take way too long to ever reclaim the savings.
  18. I'm also going to email Brooks later on with a few ideas I have in regards to this. But I can't speak for WSI, but I do know that the big thing that hurts a ton of people here is the fact that a heavy portion of the posters here are college students (like you mentioned) and have left for school by than. In my case I'm an out of towner so the only way I can make it is if its a weekend.
  19. QUOTE(DukeNukeEm @ Aug 13, 2005 -> 01:14 PM) YOU NEVER count a team out in Football before the season has even started. The still have the same opportunity to succeed and they still have to win just as many games. Dont ever call a season a waste just to get Matt Lienart, if we lose on purpose we take a GIANT step back, one that ruins good players.
  20. QUOTE(knightni @ Aug 13, 2005 -> 08:22 AM) You don't think Baj or Tracey would make it through waivers? Ehh.. they might not. But, they aren't exactly BMAC or Jenks. No.
  21. Bmac has been rolling off good starts (his last start he gave up like 4 runs, but I think 2 of them were scored in the 8th inning in a gmae he left with some runners on and the pen gave up his runs).
  22. Delmon is a pretty damn talented player as well, but you gotta love Hernandez arm. You can tell on the most part this is a scouts list so on the most part you see guys who project very highly. Its interesting to say the least, although there are definately parts I don't agree with. Ie, Sweeney and no Young...pffft.
  23. Shoot me a PM with your IP address. My guess is an IP ban was made that could be very close to your IP and because of that its preventing your from logging on. Also, you can try to clear your cache and cookies and see if that helps.
  24. The more I think about it, the more I would be angry if they dealt Chris Young in a package. Now Gio would be another story. I'd give up Gio and a mid tier prospect or two.
