  1. He is quite solid.
  2. Yeah - great first half - horrendous second half. Good learning experience - let’s see how he bounces back next game but he just hasn’t had to be as ball dominant in so long so good for him to be put in those spots and feel out his game and work on his endurance etc.
  3. Blasphemy - time to dock your pay hahaha.
  4. Williams apparently with a great first quarter. I think he is going to benefit and shine in next year or two being surrounded by the new players.
  5. Call me crazy but long term 8 percent plus returns is right up my alley. If you leverage your when markets are down - you will see a bit better emerge and I’m not greedy. Double your money every 7-8 years and build one source of passive earnings that is super tax efficient (at least compared to a normal w-2 person).
  6. In general the strategy you are putting in play will out perform everyone chatting it up in here. It’s okay to add some play stocks or home run shots but I call the index the solid double. You will always like it - and less likely to strike out vs going for broke every time. Key is always being willing to stomach the lows. If you sell when shit hits the fan - you will miss the appreciation back and have a far worse return (that also means you have enough in reserves to stomach that) and sometimes having some cash on side allows that - even allows a bit of risking up when times are bad…which is my approach - singles and doubles with the ocassional pushing in of chips when markets are turbulent. I am not looking to time bottom - just looking to get discounts on quality stocks. The above play worked very well when everything hit the fan last year.
  7. What does that tweet mean?
  8. But supposedly Miami is getting its hand slapped - because it had discussions with Toronto at the deadline - I got news for the league, so did the Bulls. I get it - they probably did it - but every team does. Just ridiculous the league is going to use the Bulls to set an example. Bron has done it his whole career. Bulls should have been smarter and waited a few hours - but still - whose to say Bulls don't talk to New Orleans, New Orleans talks to Ball - they get parameters aligned, some of which started back at the deadline. If the Pelicans really got cold feet and now through the Bulls under the bus - wow is all I could say. I can't imagine Pelicans would have done that - but if they did - and it leaked - no one is going to negotiate with them in good faith.
  9. Go figure - bulls actually get there guys and this happens. And if gar was behind it - man. I don’t see why gar would care since New Orleans clearly was on board. In fact - how is it tampering if dialogue went through New Orleans?
  10. Didn’t think this team would pull it out. They made it interesting all the way until the end when lillard and jrue missed free throws and they had a couple awful late turnovers. Kd was awesome though.
  11. I know Lillard can get hot - but him and Taytum are both playing total "me" ball right now. It worked early for Tatum but the longer he played the more the rest of the team offenses stagnated and France came back.
  12. If you are going that way - you may want to put Cooperstown on your list. Did Toronto and New York with Cooperstown and Niagara falls 21 years ago and it was awesome. Cooperstown (hopefully it hasn’t changed) is absolutely special.
  13. It could be that but you are spot on either way - this is on Lauri. He wants to take his game to next level - it takes a lot more work and when you get knocked down you got to show fire. He hasn’t shown that. It is cliche but he just hasn’t. I haven’t seen him play with a chip.
  14. I was going to say 2yr/26M is an easy match for Lauri.
  15. He may not have a choice. Bulls need to play hard ball - either get value you like or match his deal if it is reasonable.
  16. Or the Bulls get a good view and decide to accept it to maintain the asset and keep him around. I would think they accept anything but a poison pill (or once they know - have some plan's in place to leverage Lauri in a S&T to get what they do need - maybe with other teams involved, etc). At this point - I will assume the front office will be strategic in how they handle things until proven otherwise (they have earned that for how they manipulated the cap / roster this offseason). I now have to hope they got the right parts or largely the right parts to take some big steps forward - so the next part (star acquisition) becomes a reality)
  17. And I should have said thank you - haha. It’s going to be funny in ten years when this new service comes out that brings it all back to one place so it is an easy and curated user experience!
  18. I think I technically get Peacock - but than I got to go stream the whole thing and its just another thing I have to sign up for, download, etc. Yes - I am lazy - but at some point enough is enough. How many seperate apps/places do I need to go? My answer is - for things like USA olympic basketball - with the plethora of networks NBC has - if I have a cable subscription - I should be good.
  19. So annoying that I can't watch the US games unless I have peacock or whatever it is. For pete sake this is USA basketball we are talking about and its on in the middle of the night (or in some cases not so late for a west coaster like msyelf). Why can't I watch live with my regular cable subscription.
  20. Lauri is okay as a big - so I presume at this point if they move him it is just for a big they like more. Seems way more likely Lauri stays and even with him staying I expect one more big - possibly at the baby mle excemption or using the tpe from Houston they have.
  21. I was not at all interested in summer league - but I forgot Williams will be there and between Williams, Ayo and Marko Simonivc or whatever it is, the team is a bit more interesting than i suspected.
  22. I do like Bradley's length and his per looks real good. Could be a small sample size thing, but he's young and long and purely off box score seems like a decent enough rebounder. I can't imagine he's much different than Gafford. Maybe slightly different skillsets (Gafford was lob city) - but for vet minimum, seems like a no brainer.
  23. I heard people hype the guy we got from the Knicks (whose name escapes me last year) - so I'll hold all judgement until I actually see some of these back of the bench type of guys we are going to be signing. Or at least I'm assuming this isn't a big signing. That said - i presume if he is OKC, Donovan would have coached him in the past. The fun part today is - if some star comes available, I'm not going to sit here and go, it is impossible to go get said player, we don't have the cap space or we don't have x or y. I said that about a handful of really good teams - and somehow they were able to make it happen - and now with this front office - I feel like they will to.
  24. That is probably what the bulls are thinking - replace towns with whatever disgruntled star that maybe wants to come to Chicago.
