  1. Very nice - got the runner over. Vaughn - knock Yoan in here. Short and quick.
  2. Unfortunately - I don't think Carter Jr. was changing his play with the Bulls. His only chance was a change of scenery, imo.
  3. 2 Straight for the Bulls - both vs. potential playoff teams. Albeit - Nets were down a couple stars. Either way - turnovers are down last few games (tonight not so much - 20 on the game)...defense much improved and 2 wins. Hopefully this is a better indication than the first handful of games...especially knowing how hard it is with all the interchangeable parts. I'd still say we still have a super limited sample size...but it sure is nice that they have won the last two.
  4. At least Mariners let you buy in sets of 2. For Angels - you were forced either 4 or 5 tickets (depending on the section). So for us - it was my kids plus my vaccinated dad. Figured that was a win win - my wife got a break - and kids got quality time in with grandpa for first time in a while. On your other point - I do admit - part of me feels bad for at least establishing my favorite teams to my kids. I kind of think- wouldn't they be better off being a fan of the Dodgers/Lakers haha.
  5. So the game I saw in Anaheim - it was such a pleasant experience. Bought tickets for $30bucks (+$10M more in additional fees - those fees are ridiculous - as I bought from the box office). Had the entire row to myself - which when you have a 5 and 7 year old who likes to stand up from time to time to stretch their legs and/or dance - its great. No one directly behind...no one directly in front....so I didn't have to tell my kids to sit down. I could put my feet on the chairs and no one could sit in the wrong seats because every seat not available for sale was zip tied. So you could pick an open section of 4 seats but not skirt the social distancing rules in place. I honestly would have paid double for the experience...mainly cause I am one of those people who hates crowds. The food at the concessions was awful - but that is an Angel stadium issue. Ordering from my phone and just walking up to pick up the food - that was pleasant and made the concession line move 2 to 3 times faster. Other than the Sox blowing it in the 8th - was a truly pleasant experience and I can't comment for other teams - but in general felt fairly safe and it was so freaking nice to watch a ball game.
  6. Rodon Kopech Yermin Grandal Wohooo
  7. Hopefully with each of our squads in first!
  8. Nasty Kopech. Is he done or coming out of for another inning. I am assuming he is done?
  9. Kopech’s command is fantastic tonight. No idea how a player finds his command by missing two years but geeze his deliver looks so compact and consistent tonight.
  10. Is there another player who had separated his shoulder while swinging? I don’t ever remember seeing that.
  11. Man - that tatis injury had to be one of the most unique injuries I have ever seen. Right there with Eloys. Terrible.
  12. Better at bat by Vaughn. He is still not as quick as he needs to be...he is going to be fine though...better than fine.
  13. Agreed - Maggs never had the adversity etc. he was young - got a shot on a rebuilding team and never gave it back. Like the Voit comp. Nice thing is - so far I have seen Mercedes hit every pitch. I know the league will adjust but he seems to have a complete swing.
  14. Leury having a rough start to season. It’s okay - Vaughn about to deliver.
  15. I wonder if Yermin can end up like Maggs. Not comparing how they got there or the actual talents - but if I remember right, Magglio was never viewed as special - but when he got his shot he hit and never stopped hitting. Yermin looks like the real deal offensively. Age be damn - that bat plays.
  16. This broadcast crew is really enjoyable.
  17. I’m not worried - The run on that heater was nice. My guess is he is just pitching (vs throwing). Maybe he still listening to some of Coop’s advice.
  18. I don’t really care - Kopech is a future copy young award winner. But I get it. And I don’t have an issue doing this for part of this year - because he is coming back from injury and an opt out - so managing his innings is key. But you can’t waste this type of arm in a pen. Edit: not trying to be sarcastic. Either way I suspect it will work itself out. Whether we like it or not - people are going to get hurt and or not perform.
  19. Did he always pitch out of the stretch?
  20. Kopech has to end up being stretched into a starter sooner vs later. If his arm holds up - he is so freaking special.
  21. That slider was so good. And than Kopech gets next batter to chase another nasty one.
