Older Soxfest Threads
Its not true, it all stems to health. I know Kenny and Kelly were on good terms when I was out there during spring training, which was mid March. Well whenever Crede's wife got hit with the foul ball.

Older Soxfest Threads
Mr. Showtime and I have it on very good record that Wunsch was never healthy enough to pitch. One of the big shots in the minors mentioned it to us when Ian asked a question and I was told the same from many others within the organization. His arm didn't respond well and he was one of the reasons Charlotte was awful in the 2nd half of the season. The pen was usually so short cause him, Duncan and others could only pitch 1-2 times a week. Wish Kelly the best though, great guy.

Do you think kenny will wait till soxfest?
Like Ian says, if he waits, the Sox are getting crap (if its a FA signing) for starting pitching.

If clement was signed tomorrow...
Hell ya. I'd give it a B or B+ depending; Get Pyrz and Clement or Perez and its an A++++++

Keith Ginter sent to Oakland
Probably Munoz. Remember the guy is still very young and was the best pitcher in the Southern League (statistically..arguably though) midway through the season. But I agree and I think the Sox can move any of them in part of a package in there next trade.

Not so Fast...Washington may not last
I think this is a more up to date article.

Keeper League Thread
Alright, its gonna take me some time. I don't have a clue where the hell I put the rosters now, lol. Thats what I get for cleaning my room. I will list my keepers though. Vladdy, Krod, Schilling, Pudge, Blalock Thats where mine stands right now. I may put Delgado on that list over someone.

No NHL Season
It went as far to say he's even agreed to a contract and will sign it the day the season is cancelled.

Keith Ginter sent to Oakland
Unless Marte or someone else is moved Adkins will be in Charlotte or (more likely) elsewhere, imo.

Lee leaves with class.
Wish ya the best Carlos

1st base coach Tim Raines on the Score now

How good is Juan Uribe?
I'm with ya Nuke. I hated watching the guy at the plate. It was strikeout or homer, that was it essentially. The guy had no idea what the count was or how to recognize a break pitching. The league finally figured it out last year and his average took an even bigger hit. Defensively he was eh. Was a lot better the past two years then he was the first two years with the Sox. Uribe is a better all around shortstop though and has lots of upside. I think we'll see .275, 28, 85 out of Juan this year. I think he's on the verge of breaking out, but this won't quite be that year. I think he has at least one 35 HR season in him, maybe even a 40 HR season as he matures.

Rumors thread
Mac, Jurko, and Harry have been talking about the possibility of signing him. Its because they've gotten emails from people mentioning the name. But there are no sources to this

New Randy to Chicago talk
Buehrle will not strike out 200 people a year. And the Sox don't have what it takes to get both Hudson and Burnett without completely depleting there major league roster and there top couple prospects, imo.

pods to be on mjh
He also mentioned that he played left a bit down in the minors and with the Brewers in spring training. Seems like a very humble person.

pods to be on mjh
Seems like a nice guy.

Keith Ginter sent to Oakland
Lehr will pitch out of there bullpen. Nothing special, 5 plus ERA last year at the major league level (after numerous years in AA/AAA). Does have solid k/9 ratio. Cruz doesn't look like a major league outfielder at this point. Seems like a very good move by Billy Beane. Cruz did hit over .300 in his first half season in AA (was promoted mid way through or so). Does have some power though, 26 homers in 133 games, but struck out 149 times.

I'll knock on wood for you. I sure as hell hope not.

Rumors thread
Sosa would put up great numbers in Baltimore, but thats not a good deal payroll wise. The Cubs must be picking up a hell of a lot of Sosa's contract if that were to happen. Be an amazing deal for the Cubs.

Yesterday the rumor for Hairston and Julio involved Farnsworth and a prospect.

New Randy to Chicago talk
Obviously the Dbacks would do Rowand, Garland, Marte, Anderson, but that move just doesn't make sense for the Sox cause Rowand is cheap and will be around for a while. Of course Rowand could easily prove himself as being a one year wonder and that his numbers take a bit of a dive. Still, I can't see Kenny giving him up. He's a grinder, but ocassionally Kenny gives up guys he doesn't want to because the other guys makes the team better. Ie, him giving up Olivo.

Oh I agree, Marte is cheap, but if it gets Randy Johnson, I don't care. This gives the Sox the best starting pitcher in baseball (arguably) and he'll be here this year and next. After that I don't care. Garland is solid but may be gone after this season anyway and Marte is solid but the Sox have a better pen then last year anyway and if they deal him I'd like to see them find a lefty to semi replace him (Scho is the guy I like). And then if Anderson and Diaz or whatever two prospects are a part of the deal then fine. The Sox aren't really giving up that much of there future, but it is a solid deal for the Dbacks as well. They are going to get 2 everyday players (Garland and Everett), a near everyday reliever (Marte), plus Diaz or whomever probably plays as well in the pen. And a future to get another starter out of Anderson/Sweeney.
