Well I expect the Yanks to decline arbitration on Lieber now.

Couldn't agree more.

his subject's laterality quotient is: -55.6 Placing this subject in the 3d left decile.

I hadn't thought about that knife and fork thing till you brought it up. I refuse to write on chalk boards. All I do is get chalk over myself and smudge everything anyway. All school desks suck, the comfortable stuff is the chairs where you can kind of recline in school, but I only have them in a couple of my classes.

No interest in Fogg from me. Could make a solid reliever, but no way as a starter. As far as Yan goes, he's always had good stuff.
-
I'm assuming the Dodgers will offer him arbitration, but their is also a remote possibility that he's on the trading block, given the way he finished last season. When healthy he's a horse.

And the damn spiral notebooks. And of course their is writing with pencils and getting pencil lead on your hand.

Where is the part of the study that says lefties have a tendency to post on Soxtalk

Burke is a version of Matheny, imo. The pitching staff seemed to like him and he handled the pitchers well. Doesn't have the experience of Matheny but can handle the bat (won't come near this past season offensively) but to me I see no reason for Matheny. Either make a drastic upgrade or no upgrade.

Not sure, I think that type of deal would leave a 2nd deal in the works where the Sox could fill another hole or two. Just throwing it out their and I don't expect the Angels to make a deal of that magnitude via trade. But some of those guys would be available. I could see the smaller of the deals working though. Hell, I could even see a Figgins and Kochman for Konerko type swap with Konerko DH'ing. I don't know if the Angels would do it soley for the cash purposes but part of it makes sense.
-
No, nor do I think Renteria is even worth the 4 yr 32 mill deal. I think he's drastically overrated, but at the same time it seems like the Sox are more desperate for a middle infielder then I would be. Like I've long said their are other possibilities that cost far less money. Figgins or Eckstein will be out their, Davannon, Erstad. The Angels got a ton of guys that could be had and most of which cost little to nothing salary wise. But I could see why the Sox would overpay for him. As far as RJ goes, so I was wrong, I still think the Sox made the best offer out their and I'll give them credit for that, even if I was only one of the few people actually for making that deal. However, I'll be oozing with joy if they land Wright. I don't think they'll sign Edgar.
-
Of course I don't really fit the terms they give of lefties of being musical and artistic. I'm so far from it. I'm much more analytical in a sense.
-
My guess is they sign Wright or Renteria in the next day or two and then in the meetings either make a trade or another signing. If they make two signings then I'm assuming they pick up Wright and Renteria.
-
Thats what I think will happen as well. Since it seems the Twins have their catching duo they will be out of it. The Dodgers would go after him I would think. I think it would come down to the Sox and Dodgers if the Sox were interested. With the Mets as sleepers.

Angels looking to make a splash. Gammons reports they have decided to take Cabrerra over Renteria. I'm assuming he means thats who they will target. Either way, If the Angels offer him a fair deal, he'll go and play with Vladdy, no doubt about it. Then he said the Angels will go after Beltran and after those two moves they will look into pitching. Plus the Angels are potentially going to non-tender Washburn. So I'm gonna play a little role of reading between the lines. McPherson is their starting 3rd baseman, Cabrerra at SS, Eck or Figgs at 2nd and their outfield is full with Davannon on the bench and Erstie at first. I ask you this, would the Sox not be a good fit for the Angels. Its no secret the Angels would move Erstad if given the opportunity. The Angels also seem to of fallen out of favor with Casey Kochman. What about a package involving Konerko for Erstad and Kochman. Or a bigger package involving Konerko and Garland for Erstad, Kochman, Figgins and Brandon Donnelly. I think either package could be do-able, especially if the Sox lock up Wright. They could then look at adding another pitcher, but would have almost no worries in terms of positions. They would have a top of the order in Figgins/Erstad, a reliever in Donnelly and a stud 1st base prospect in Kochman. The Angels save some money and add a pitcher while they still go out and sign Pavano. They get a power bat in the infield which they want and unload Erstads contract (which if I recall goes another year and money wise its pretty much equal to Konerko's). The Sox then have money to sign Wright and then pick up another starter via free agency as well. Plus they have the option of signing Pyrz potentially and getting a RFer. They could even decide to play Erstad in the outfield (even though I'm not a proponent of it) and use Kochman at 1st. Kochman could play early in the season while Frank is out and then work his way to get ready for the following season or be packaged elsewhere cause he has some legit value. I know this type of deal isn't going to happen, but both teams have some parts that match up.

Aren't the Cards pretty happy about the Molina's baby brother?
-
Thats probably how the Mets think, and it just further explains why they are destined to a lifetime of suckitude. Retarded ass move to acquire him, and a retarded move to give him that type of money. I've never understood the Kris Benson hype.

Ya, but I don't see this as a knock on this priest. I see this as a knock on Bush. I mean come on....this is as big as a stretch as Michael Moore's conspiracy theory in Farenheit 9/11. If I read wrong, I apologize, but thats how I read it and that disgusted me. I'm not talking about the paper I'm talking about disagreeing with wino's post.

Just netflixed Dodge Ball. I still haven't seen it and have heard that it was freaking hillarious.
-
That would explain why Hawk always says good things about Pyrz. As far as him in SF. The first month their was that report that the pitching staff didn't like him. I remember reading later in the year that it was one pitcher, things were cleared up, and that the writer really blew the whole thing out of proportion. He was pretty much made the scapegoat in SF.
-
I'd still offer Scho arb. I couldn't see him getting much and I still think he's a valuable arm to have, especially if the Sox haven't or aren't close to landing a pitcher or two cause its obvious they need some pitching.
-
Gammons had a rumor that Washburn may be non-tendered by Anaheim. I don't know about you guys but this would be at least an intriguing name to look at. Also he said Scho would be non tendered.
-
I just don't know why the Dbcaks would do it. At that point they would have to be getting a very strong package, obviously Konerko and Garland but even then I don't know if I'd make that deal if I were the Dbacks. I just can't see the Dbcaks going with Glaus and Konerko when they have Tracy their. Tracy is a damn good 3rd base prospect.
-
Which makes both Chad Tracy and Shea Hillebrand available. I know one thing, I'd do a Konerko/Garland for Tracy/Vazquez and 12-16 mill in cash.
