Talking about Dye, said Dye had 4 other offers get upped during the physical period. Said Dye's character, defense and offense made him a great fit for the club. They asked him about Boras. Kenny said he's open and honest and that can sometimes work against him. He said his comments about Scott aren't a personal thing, he simply disagrees with the value Boras thinks of his clients and Kenny doesn't think they fit into what the White Sox were going to do. Not much, was joking that he was getting some good ideas from Baseball Tonight. Then Kruk made a comment about KW being open and honest and Ozzie being crazy, lol. Said its gonna be a fun summer in Chicago. Not much was really said. Still, good to see the Sox GM and the Sox get some coverage.

Sox talking to Oakland?
IF the Sox give up Lee and Garland then they better get Byrnes and a little more.

I'll try to, won't be around for the whole show though. Got to get my butt to school for some studying. Cause I've gotten nothing accomplished thus far today, lol.

Magglio doesn't go so quietly aft
Ahh we got a wise guy here...making me think eh. First one there, second two their. I'm golden grammatically when it comes to editing other peoples work, but my own, lets just say I'm prone to some minor grammar errors. But thats well documented

Sox talking to Oakland?
I tend to agree, unless of course a 3 way deal with Oakland, Bmore and the Sox. I'm sure Oakland would love to get their hands on Carlos Lee or even Paul Konerko. Here me out here, I'll give two scenarios. Paul Konerko, Brian Anderson, Felix Diaz Sox Get: Tim Hudson, Jay Gibbons A's Get: Erik Bedard, Brian Roberts or Jerry Hairston, and Felix Diaz Orioles Get: Paul Konerko and Brian Anderson You could change it with the A's getting Anderson and the O's Diaz or Munoz or whomever. Option Two: Carlos Lee, Felix Diaz Sox Get: Tim Hudson, Jay Gibbons A's Get: Erik Bedard, Brian Roberts or Jerry Hairston, Jorge Julio or BJ Ryan O's Get: Carlos Lee and Diaz or Munoz I think the A's wold make those deals, especially the first one if they got Bedard, Roberts, Anderson...maybe even someone else. I figure the O's will be happy to give up Gibbons since they plan on non-tendering him and the Sox can just take him now and work out a deal with him. Don't know how do-able it is, but I could see some possibilities. Only thing is you know the A's would really love to get Hudson on their own, but if they fall short they still may want to get involved. I would definately see them giving up quite a bit to get Lee.

Steff, I have enough trouble writing properly...now you want me to read...Sheesh

Heart question..
Steff Got your answer last night. Anyway it stems from the heart not getting enough oxygen. She said she would have to see the results to know more and that it can be minor or more serious depending on the size of it.

Wasn't the Arod deal done prior to the new CBA as well. I thought this latest 2 year thing was part of the most recent bargaining agreement. And yes, players still sometimes get approval.

Sox talking to Oakland?
Hudson' missed some starts with a strained left stomach muscle. He was back in the beginning of August. He was placed on the DL at the end of June. Hudson's 3 year splits show that his ERA is .76 worse away from home. Home: 2.69 Road: 3.45 Not too shabby. Also, he just gave up 8 homers in 188 innings this past season.

Check that Mulder had a surgery on his hip in 2003. It was technically a stress frecture near his right hip that caused him to miss part of the 2003 season. Last season he was absolutely dominant through the first half of the season and then something happened cause he was brutal down the stretch.

Sox talking to Oakland?
I think its Mulder who had the hip problem. One question I have is whether Mulder is still out their. He's signed to a pretty darn affordable deal for next year as well and is a Sox fan.

Sox talking to Oakland?
Quick question. What was the injury that held out Hudson for part of the season this year? He had pitched an absolute boatload of innings entering this past season. Byrnes would be such a good pickup though. If the Sox are dealing Lee I hope they get him as well.

Start at Lee and the Braves just don't have the pitcher to offer along with Furcal, imo.

Ya, I also heard it could be as much as 20 million. This is not a move that excites me. 10 mill a year is too much for Finley. His average and strikeouts aren't something to brag about. As an Angel fan I think they are going the wrong direction yet again. They should be focusing on pitching and a middle infielder/Beltran.

- Sox Shopping Carlos Lee?
Hell I'm one of those fans that likes to see players laughing and having fun. I think a more relaxed player is a better one and a fun one to watch. Thats what I always remember about the 2000 season. The players were always smiling, laughing, and having fun.- Sox talking to Oakland?
If the Sox got Byrnes and Hudson for Lee, Anderson and anyone but Bmac and Sweeney (from the minors) then fine by me. I love Brynes. Guy is a great defensive player and a pretty good top of the order guy. Speedy Gonzalez too.- Sox talking to Oakland?
Nah, he'll probably look at Bmac and oh man will I flip if him or any of the top prospects are dealt. If Kenny can find a 3rd team in that would have some use for Konerko and then Anderson and say Diaz are involved. I don't know who the 3rd team is. But say the Sox give up those three, A's get Anderson and Giles (just a suggestion, they could look at other teams) and the Braves pick up Konerko and Diaz (maybe a little cash) then who knows. I should say I don't think Atlanta does this, but their could be a 3rd team out their somewhere. - Sox Shopping Carlos Lee?
