Someone want to tell me why the Sox brouhgt in a guy that hits lhp poorly to pinch hit. Freaking foolish.
-
Stupid freaking baseball. Why steal when you could of bunted. Geeze thats stupid. I don't know what was going on in Jose's head and Uribe gets thrown out a lot or so it seems. You don't run on Blanco, imo.
-
Thats what it comes from. Larson was mentioned in yesterdays writeup on Gio Nah Alex, I knew you'd come through
-
nice job Alex.

I think your gums are more likely to bleed with a regular brush then a sonicare. I don't think mine have ever bled from using the sonic care, at least not that I can recall.
-
Yep, it works great. Gotta get some replacement brushes for mine. Been using it for like a year adn a half. Teeth feel clean after every wash. Took a while for me to get used to it though.
-
Wasn't scary, but damn was it disgusting. I remember just feeling pain when the guy was hooked and what not.

I want to see Borchard playing everyday. He is better defensively then Timo and looks comfortable at the plate. I want him to get a chance, because he could potentially add some much needed pop. I prefer Timo off the bench.
-
Is he tradeable...yes, but the Sox would be nuts to deal him at this point. He has such a bright future and you typically don't get huge value for a player in A ball. Although for Sweeney, he definately has trade value. But him and Anderson are untouchable with Reed gone. I'd deal Borchard, but not the other two.
-
Wow, I'm shocked and excited to hear that. Great News!!!!
-
I think its wait and see. From what I know they still haven't been able to figure out anyting wrong with him. His velocity is just incredibly low. Right now I am pretty unoptimistic when it comes to Honel.
-
I've seen Dukakis speak before, he makes himself look stupid, imo. Even some of my buddies that are democrats that were at the speach fully agreed wtih me. All I know is I sure as hell won't be effected by that one picture. I don't see the big deal of it and I'll stick by that.

Brice's hitting streak was stopped at 11 while Blakely extended his hitting streak to 10 games. The Hogs have now won 9 out of 12.

All I know is Kerry's wife's speach was absolutely brutal.

Carlos Lee Sent to Kannapolis; Little Promoted By Jason Gage July 27, 2004 FutureSox.com The Chicago White Sox sent catcher Carlos Lee from Winston Salem to Kannapolis. Lee will join Charles Lisk and Cesar Castillo behind the plate in Kannapolis. The White Sox promoted RHP Jeff Little from Great Falls to Winston Salem, to replace Lee on the roster. Lee was hitting .195 with 1 HR and 19 RBI in 37 games with the Warthogs. Lee is a converted catcher, who has hit well up until this year. He should get a little more playing time in Kannapolis. Jeff Little has been one of Great Falls better relievers, going 0-1 with 5 saves and a 2.84 ERA. In 12 games he has struck out 14 while giving up 13 hits (12.2 INN). The 24 year old was signed by the White Sox as a free agent in 2003. He spent last year with both Great Falls and Bristol and played his college ball at the University of Vanderbilt. Note: Little's promotion is still being verified by FutureSox.com. It may be another player moving from Great Falls to Winston Salem. We will update you as we find out.

I'm excited to see him in Kanny. I figured it was just a matter of time, but he was really pitching great in Bristol. Hopefully he can do more of the same with Kanny. Other then his size (he's pretty small), the guy has an incredible upside and not too many negatives that I can think of (especially for a high school pitcher).
-
Adam Larson was moved up for now. I'd go with Haig or Rodriguez, but thats me. I know Flores has been really good, although he's worn down a bit and I don't like the idea of rushing him. Whisler is a possibility, but I think for now, they shouldn't push it, especially with other guys deserving. You could even see Miller, who is solid, and in his 2nd year at Kanny. He's rated highly by BA and a few other publications, although I personally believe their is definately some hype to his ratings. He's good, but doesn't have the upside so many say he does, imo.

Gion Gonzalez Earns His Stripes in Bristol, Now Moving to Kanny By Jason Gage July 27, 2004 FutureSox.com The Chicago White Sox promoted compensatory pick Gio Gonzalez to Kannapolis. Gonzalez started his professional career in Bristol this year after being drafted out of Pace Monsignor High School (Florida) in June. Gonzalez, who some thought of as a difficult sign, quickly agreed to terms with the Sox, receiving an $850,000 signing bonus. He had a scholarship offer from the University of Miami on the table...MORE

Anyone want to tell me what is the big deal? Maybe they are complaining because he looks funny in the suit, but anyone in the suit would look funny.

I'm a huge Sean Tracey fan

Interesting, probably just a way to say the Sox aren't sitting back. Hopefully KW is working on making a good deal to help the Sox even more
-
The question is what starter and I think the Sox are best going all out for a guy like Leiter or Johnson or instead looking at a guy that not many teams are looking at. Maybe even a player that could help the team this year and continue to get better the next few years. I don't know who all is on the block, but quite often guys get moved where you go, didn't know he was on the market, that type of pickup may be the best, cause KW won't be bidding it up with other teams, just one. Hell Steve Traschel may not be too bad of an idea. He's not great, but he has done a solid job this year with an ERA in the mid 3's. Paul Wilson - Reds - Done a great job this year, Reds will possibly look for a prospect or two. He's got a winning record, decent stuff, and good numbers in a hitters park. 9-2 with a 3.84 ERA. Of course Levine mentioned Lidle as a possibility, but maybe the Sox instead inquired about Wilson. Livan Hernandez - Expos - Puts up good numbers, postseason experience, Sox have a good working relationship with Minaya. 7-10 with a 3.86 ERA Zach Day - Expos - Young, puts up good numbers, don't know if he's available, but should be due for arbitration. At least worth trying. 5-9 with a 3.77 ERA Tony Armas - Expos - Young, but makes decent money. He's coming off some injuries, but when healthy he is a very good pitcher. He has had a good month of July and is 2-3 with a 3.97 ERA on the season. Opponents are hitting just .234 against him. Kip Wells - Pirates - May just be able to get him, although it could cost a good amount. Young, good arm, good pitcher. Miguel Bastista/Ted Lilly - Blue Jays - Both are veterans, having good years. Don't know if Toronto is going to give up either of them.
-
I didn't hear that...KW was reported as talking with a GM Before the game? I'd throw out the Dbacks as a possibility. I think in the end, the Sox may make a pretty hard push at Johnson and/or Bautista.
-
If the Sox add someone like Catalanato and another starter to push Scho to the bullpen, then I'll be really excited. I think those two moves would be able to be done without mortgaging the farm (hopefully) and would give the Sox some nice chips for the stretch run.
-
I'm not saying the Sox could get them, but why not push up the price tag, kind of like the Yanks always do to the Red Sox.
