    1 year anniversary

And a great year its been
  2. A long time ago, 989 seemed to make pretty decent games, but thats long been over. I remember the last time I didn't get Madden was when I decided to get the 1st year of NFL Quarterback Club for N64. IGN said it was the awesome game cause of the graphics and everything. It had way better graphics then Madden that year, but the game in general was just awful. Madden may not of been fancy but it was fun to play. Games of came a hell of a long way since then and this year I won't be getting Madden, unless I end up playing it and decide its way better then ESPN. I'm really liking ESPN though. If ESPN weren't 20 bucks, I'd of went with Madden though, hell, if it were 30 bucks compared to Madden at 50, I probably would of bought Madden...but you can't beat it for 20 bucks or the 15 that it is at Fye or Target.
  3. Do you know if it will be released at the same time? I sold my ps2 to pick up an Xbox and this was the only game on PS2 that is really exclusive to ps2, at least that I play. Also for those Xboxers that havne't picked up the dual GTA pack, its 29.99 at Best Buy, you can't beat that for two AWESOME games. I preordered Halo 2 when I bought 2k5...Halo looks like its gonna be seriously badass. Great multiplayer mode and everything. Edit: Nevermind, I just saw where its on PS2 at the beginning. I'm guessing 6 months later it will be out on XBOX. Man that sucks, but oh well. The game looks ridiculously badass, although I agree with Steve...the whole exercise thing may be a little over the top. I mean look at Tony Soprano, does anyone truly think he exercises
  4. I pretty much agree with you in full. The only thing I may do is promote one of their starters to Winston Salem. With another starter Winston Salem should be able to compete for a division title, instilling winning to them, while Gio Gonzalez could move up to Kannapolis and fit in just fine, imo.
  5. Who knows...we can all see the continuing decline of Heads...its so sad isn't it
  6. Yep....your career is definately on the decline
  7. What the hell is that supposed to mean heads? Maybe I'm the only one who gets it, but you may need to consider retiring from making fun of me
  8. First off, stick around and welcome aboard I have noticed what McNichol is doing and I believe their are at least a few unsung heros on that Birmingham team. The Barons team in general, doesn't get a bunch of hype, and to me their are a whole lot of guys in their bullpen that can contribute at the major league level (eventually) as well as their rotation. Offensively you have Spidale and Anderson who look like they will be capable of reaching the majors and then a lot of guys who could prove me wrong, but they have a lot of mionr league veterans in a sense. I was unaware of McNichol's injury, but I have noticed him pitching his butt off the entire year. Him, Josh Fields, Matt Smith, Bull, Lamura have all been doing a fantastic job out of the pen. Bull has also done a nice job in his spot starts.
  9. I'd use them in a package for Zito or Mulder
  10. Wouldn't have a problem with that, as long as the Pirates are still willing to pay a good amount of Kendall's contract. I like the idea of Danny Bautista, because I'm pretty convinced Maggs is gone for the season and I think management has to go with that approach. Honestly, Sox fans may of seen the last game Maggs ever plays in a White Sox uniform.
  11. Eddie has been pretty awesome this year, 5 blown saves and all, and I'd love him in the pen. However, at this point, Shingo is the closer until proven otherwise (hopefully he doesn't prove otherwise). If he is willing to come in and be a setup man, then fine. Once again, I think the Sox are thin on prospects, so to me, they are going to have to figure out what deal is the best one to make and go for that one, imo, and then take up a secondary (not quite as big of a name player) for the other trade. Thats if they are going to make a few more deals.
  12. Welcome Aboard That was a great game to catch. I turned it off for an inning or two and turned it back on just in time to see the comeback. I was so frustrated with how the Sox would score and then their pitcher would just go right back out and give the runs back. That homer by Crede was just awesome.
  13. Also a walk off sac fly and a double off the wall (almost a homer) that I can remember, so that would make it 4.
  14. I heard the same thing. Arizona's GM replied to the Yankees that their is nothing you have that we want. It appears that he wouldn't go to New York, but I wouldn't ever say that because they have cash and if Arizona really wants to unload his contract, they'll bite if no other team is actually in the sweepstakes. I think if it gets to that point, then the Angels will jump in, offer one of their top prospects, and some mid level guys. Thats only if no one really gets in a bidding war for Randy.
  15. Ya, you all are probably right in regards to Maggs and offering arbitration, since it would be too risky. However, sometimes a player gets signed up before that arbitration window is done, if I recall, and then the Sox wouldn't even have to worry about something along those lines. Also, I'm not going to say its likely that they could lock up Beltran, but if I were KW and I thought I could, I'd try to get him, set up a negotiation window. If he called and basically got the; He won't sign now, no matter what, I'd say screw it, go after a reliever and a catcher and maybe add a starter. However, I don't think the Sox have the prospects ot make too many more trades without clobbering their upper levels and when you give up lower level guys, you typically have to give up a bit more.
  16. He just came off the disabled list in Charlottel yesterday.
  17. No, because its not till next year that he can be traded.
  18. Thats me just making a typo like the fool I am. He's in Winston Salem. I'm not a fan of dealing Crede either, he's one of my favorite players.
  19. I looked in the Shop, but couldn't find them. Do you have a link? Thanks
  20. Alomar fails to get the job done and Rowand is thrown out at 3rd, so 1st and 2nd with 1 out for Willie Harris. I almost wonder if Harris thinks about draggin a bunt here. Worse case 2nd and 3rd with Jose up.
  21. If the Bulls can dump Erob and JYd to get two guys whose contracts are up at the end of the year, then I dothis deal in a heartbeat. The Bulls are still in rebuilding mode and getting some ending contracts will give the Bulls some serious leverage this offseason. The team is still a year off and then next year they will have been able to see the nucleus grow a bit and get an idea of what to do. Plus AD now has an ending contract, which means he ends up having pretty good trade value for a sign and trade with another team.
  22. Thats two straight great two strike curveballs. One to Everett and one to Konerko. If Johnson keeps throwing strikes, I think the Sox should get agressive and start swinging first pitch. He really is throwing all fastbals early and then goes breaking stuff late. His curve is looking nasty though.
