  1. Don't forget make room to date supermodels across the country
  2. Parque makes sense. They have similar statures and I really can't knock Parque. The guy shot to the majors and was a gutsy pitcher. I long think he would of turned into a pretty good big leaguer had he not bene rushed and had he not been injured. Either way the kid was gutsy and put up when the Sox needed it most on the most part. However, I think Gio has very good stuff, but we'll see. I won't be dissapointded if he moves through like Parque did. At his age, he has a shot to really shoot up the system, especially if the SOx are agressive with him (Don't know if I'm advocating that yet or not) but if his secondary stats warrant a promotion and quick rush (ie, great control, few hits, lots of strikeouts) then I'd move him quickly.
  3. Weird, I got it verified that it was him in fact that was promoted. I guess we'll have to see.
  4. Great Stuff as usual Dan
  5. Kind of a catch 22, sometimes high schoolers never add velocity. They were used to pitching on extended rest and because of that they threw harder and when it came to pitching every 5th day and going deeper into ballgames the velocity never increased. This is also partly because they didn't work hard enough as well. At the same time, if your tall, lanky, skinny, you can usually project to add some MPH. I dont' know how much you can expect from Gio, he isn't too big of a guy, so he isn't what I'd call projectible velocity wise. I think what you see is what you get with his 91 MPH fastball. IT should be noted his fastball has plus movement.
  6. August 20th I think. You need to get your butt out there from Texas
  7. I kind of consider you an everything kind of guy. Plus I knew I shouldn't of listed names, I always forget, haha. But credit goes out to the man who landed FS's first ever interviews wtih both Joe Borchard and Jeremy Reed. I think we should start calling your interviews: Revealed with Alex Bozich
  8. Baj has been pretty lights out for Charlotte thus far.
  9. Yep, what Dan said. The new site is going to be features based and should have an awesome layout. Also Tony, the site is definately getting more popular and now I think we'd like to get that popularity out on a broader level. This should help eventually, in my mind, get the site a generic minor league set of credentials (if their is one). The new writers should be pretty badass, to go with the current staff we have (which is an awesome one!!!!!). I'm really looking forward to things progressing, but to say the least, I'm very pleased with how the site has done in its first year, in fact I'm exstatic. Its also given the opportunity to add some young, great minds like Evan, Andrew, and of course Dan to go with the original staff of Mike, Me, and Alex.
  10. To go along with this, the site is finally going to be unveilling its new design.
  11. Hopefully you all enjoy it, but we will be adding a more national perspective to the site as well, so be sure to tell all your friends and what not about us. We are going to have two new national writers, possibly more, and will have a ton of generic minor league baseball news on the site as well. You can expect to see this as soon as week from now (more likely two weeks) and the first piece will be up this weekend on the life of minor leaguers. Were excited to announce this change and hopefully you all are too. We will be sticking with our White Sox approach though and their will be more writers focused on that.
  12. I have pinned this topic, cause I know their are a lot of Bears fans on the board. Great idea for starting this thread
  13. I looked at the other articles too, didn't look like much of a GOP site, as I think was mentioned earlier in the thread. I also read another one of the articles and it seemed pretty odd. I even thought the wording of this article was odd and really strangely written for what would be a respectable site. Ie, I think this is bs.
  14. Bmac Anderson Sweeney

Hell ya queen. And Gashie, sprees are good, but I prefer sweet tarts But Gummie Bears rock as well.
  16. I don't have a clue. When I wrote about it last night I was puzzled and I'm still puzzled about it. Only thing I can think of is that Larson isn't really going to pitch and they didn't want to do that to someone in Bham.
  17. At the same time, blame Manos for todays game, but he is one of the few players that typically excells at doing the little things. I know its a tough day and he made some really odd plays, but overall, like Crede (who made his error) Jose is an absolutely unbelievable baserunner and a guy that can do the little things, even though he is in a slump.
  18. Well on the bright side, 3/1/2 games out means the team is still in it. At the same time wite is right, you don't blame any one player for this performance, it falls on the team and their lack of exeuction. Its not something that started today and it probably won't end today, its been an ongoing process and the team is just continually getting worse at it. SOme changes are going to have to be made and they will have to be made now. Maybe its not a personell change thats needed, maybe its a good kick in the nuts to every god damn player in this team to put an empahsis on doing and accomplishing the little things. These guys must not know what it takes to win tough games. They had been doing a decent job at it earlier in the yaer, but with Maggs and Frank, they were more suited to overcome mistakes. Now they aren't. Talent wise the Sox are no better then the Twins, mentally the Twins kick the White Sox Ass 10 FOLD. That doesn't bode well, but the Sox could fix things. Maybe a new top of the order guy is the answer, but Willie is taking pitches and playing decent, imo. I'd like to see him out their day in and day out, unless a truly good leadoff hitter is out there. But that still doesn't solve the 2 hole, which to me is an even bigger concern. Harris in general gets on base, the 2 hole hasn't gotten on base for a long time.
  19. I get article not found???
  20. Your right, Jose shouldn't hit in the 2 hole, especially when he's in a slump. The Sox need to get some top of the order people.
  21. MOTHER f***ER, game over...chalk this down as the time I call for some wholesale changes, either to the approach, or to the actual players on the team. Absolutely, f***ing garbage. Video tape this game, give it to youngsters everywhere and show it as how a team should never ever f***ing play. Fundemental baseball isn't hard, its something that has to be taught and taugh t from a young age. Maybe the Sox minor league coaches aren't doing it, how the hell do I know, but I know I'm goddamn sick of seeing it over the past 3 years. f*** YOU WHITE SOX :fyou
  22. It could change it for the good cause if Ozzie goes off right and the players f***ing get their heads out of their asses. Thats what I gotta hope
  23. Whenever Carlos is hitting homers, its a bad sign, cause he gets into homer mode and well then your freaking toast.
  24. What a f***ing bulls*** game...make some changes, do what you gotta do management, cause this team (the way they are playing) ain't going anywhere. With Maggs and Frank, tahts a different story, but get realistic, they wont' be here this year, or at least not likely. The Sox had been playing Minny good all year long and now once again they get their asses clobbered by the Twins at home (probably a sweep).
  25. The Sox better do whatever it takes to tie this game back up or win it. Nathan is freaking awesome, so they may have to get creative here. God I can't go into how pissed off I am today. This is just a culmination of the s***ty execution that has been happening of late. f***ING HUNTER, robs Timo of a double.
