Mr. Zero: Man From The Future?
I'm not gonna jump off his bandwagon. I remember Ishii sucking horribly in spring for the Dodgers and Ichiro did the same his first spring. As a whole Japanese playesr have kind of struggled in spring and I think part of the reason is I remember reading how spring training in Japan is a completely different process. I do think his lack of a fastball could get to him, if he doesn't have control (but that can be said about anyone).

Nossek big Sox Void
Ya, afterall Ozzie made him have injuries. Almost all the coaches have said the new attitude has been great. The coaches are going out to dinner together and everything is "team oriented". Just cause you don't like Ozzie, doesn't mean you have to blame him. I don't know whether Ozzie will be good or bad, but Nossek is staying in the organization, but has health issues. I don't think their is another meaning behind this. As far as the candidates. Fisk could be a high reward guy, but he could also be a total jackass looking soley to put himself first and that wouldn't be good. Torborg has tons of experience and while he wasn't the most sucessful manager, he does do some things I like and as a catcher (like Fisk) has a lot of knowledge that could help Olivo. I like Torborgs agressive style and he would fit in nice with Ozzie, especially with them being buddies. Its not like being buds would be Torborgs only qualification, cause he has plenty of experience and thats what Ozzie needs.

Kris Benson
Here's my problem with Benson...their are better options. Try and pull Juan Cruz from the Cubs (not that I think they will deal him). Maybe go after one of the pitchers the Dodgers are dangling or one of the Angels pitchers. I mean I don't like Ramon Ortiz, but at least he's proven he can pitch in the AL and has been healthy, unlike Benson. I mean if the Sox are willing to add this type of payroll, why not add Urbina because that would instantly make this bullpen a hell of a lot better and be a way to compensate if some of the back end starters struggle, plus you don't have to give anything up. All I'm saying is the Sox would be a hell of a lot better off with Odalis Perez, Ishii, Juan Cruz, Jarrod Washburn, Ramon Ortiz or Ugie Urbina then they would with Kris Benson. And for the package being tangled, I would think we could get at least one of those other starters and like I said with the salary the Sox would be adding, they could get Urbina. So in short...screw Benson.

The Sporting News ranks the best at 2nd base:
I'd try and get Cruz. I still think he'll be a legit pitcher. But Zambrono and Prior I take over Buehrle. Now that Wood signed that expensive deal, I wouldn't take him over Buehrle. Wood still has to get over that 14 win hump. Carlos is flat nasty and Prior is Prior. Wouldn't take Maddux cause Buehrle is better then him. There is a reason Maddux is going to stay in the NL, its because he knows he'd have an ERA over 4 this year if he was pitching in the AL. Plus, Maddux is near the end of his career, Buehrle is not.

White Sox Sportscenter preview
Who cares, its preseason...who picked the Marlins last year, who picked the Angels the year before...who picked the Cubs being an out away from the series. Heck, weren't the Sox supposed to be GOOD last year. Screw it, the baseball players just need to go out and do their thing. If they play well, the Sox will be fine, the fans will come and I'm confident KW will add a piece or two. If they struggle, then screw them, the team will be blown up (at least some of the players) and we'll be in for a rebuilding period. Its just the way its going to be.

Josh Hamilton: Suspended......again
If he's cut, I'd take a flier on him and put him in rehab and get him mentally healthy.

Who should be the 5th starter?
Now I got the pressure if he fails But every year aren't Sox fans arguing about how the Sox pitchers are getting shelled in Arizona and then they end up being solid (not great) once the season starts. Pitchers work on things at spring training, especially their first couple starts. Lets see what Scho does these next two starts, when he's using all 4 of his pitches. All I know was his changeup was fooling some guys and when he's throwing a cutter and fastball (he's got a good heater although its more of a sinker) it will be nice, plus you got his slider which is a plus pitch. The least we can do is give him his shot, cause Rauch isn't a better option, imo.

Gay Prince Book
Here's my question, isn't six in general just a little young to be reading about this? I mean what type of understanding are they going to have. After reading this, don't you then have to teach them about the birds and the bee's, etc. Just let kids be kids, why always the pressure on young kids. Just let them have fun and let them read things that interest them. One of the things that ruined my interest for reading was being forced crapp ass books down my throat by my teachers. Why not let us read things were interested in at least some of the time. Maybe then I'd actually enjoy reading today. When I was young I used to read 2 books a week (at least) then after about sixth grade, when we stopped being able to read at least some books that interested us (We'd get a list and could pick a few books from it) then that was it. I basically stopped reading cause almost all the books I read sucked completely. It just made reading awful. As far as the right or wrong thing, as long as it is something you are born with then I got no problem. I don't know what to say about marriage, but I do think if two men love each other, they aren't hurting anyone, nor do two women loving each other. They aren't going out creating this horrible crimes or doing this horrible things. Now if all of a sudden everyone wanted to become gay and the population really started decreasing, then I'd say it would be a another story, but until then, let those born that way be that way, imo. And last I looked the majority of the population isn't gay. Just think of it this way, maybe a lot of those people that stay single their entire life (not having kids) may actually be gay. So how does it hurt if those single people end up marrying other single people (not being capable of having kids, but maybe they could raise a kid...adopting someone and giving them a good life). Isn't that not a benefit of the society. Note: I'm not implying everyone that is single is gay, thats far from the truth, but I just want to use it as an example for some that say if we promote homosexuality then it means the world will come to an end. Plus, last I looked the population is still increasing, not decreasing. Gay isn't something that is contagious, or at least I don't think it is. I got a friend thats gay, doesn't mean they are going to turn you that way. It took me time to realize that, but why prevent people from being happy when they aren't hurting anyone.

Flying Under The Radar
Sapp is going to have a good year and thats a very affordable contract for a DT of his caliber. Just look what the Raiders are paying Ted Washington.

Bears Interested in Oguleyene
Plus, if they could do it where they swap 1st rounders, they still can get an impact player, have their 2nd round pick and improve. I'd guess they'd be in a position where they could land someone like Lee Evans or a Dockett (DT out of FSU) and then in the 3rd find themselves a linebacker. I mean Haynes obviously becomes a future dt project or competes with Brown, but its not bad having depth at DE. It would be a hell of an offseason if they get a probowl end (Thats only like 24) and a probowl right tackle.

Bears Interested in Oguleyene
-- Bears Eyeing Ogunleye -- Sat Mar 20, 2004 --from FFMastermind.com The Sun-Sentinel reports Dolphins DE Adewale Ogunleye has his first suitor of the offseason, as an NFL source said Friday that the Chicago Bears have interest in the AFC's reigning sack leader. The source said Chicago would not be willing to sign Ogunleye to a restricted free agent offer sheet that would require first- and third-round draft choices as compensation if the Dolphins didn't match the contract. But the Bears, who have the 14th selection in April's draft, may attempt dangling a package that includes other draft choices and a veteran offensive lineman like OG Aaron Gibson. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- If it were me, I'd swap 1st round picks, give them Gibson or another olineman and then a 4th rounder and sign Oguleyene. My goodness it would be sweet if they could somehow land him.
