  1. The odd thing is, Davis and Williams will likely be coming off the bench. Yet they can still start when needed too. I just love the versatility of this team. I'm not saying they will win it all, but they should be one of the better teams in the East...like top 4. I think this team will continue to get better and you'll see them in the playoffs...but there is probably some bias there and I still have to see the team play at this level, if not a higher level (cause there were still mistakes) for an extended period of time.
  2. She's showed most of herself and I can't remember that birth mark.
  3. Maybe one day I'll find an easy way to simply upload all the pics from this thread so it will be back...cause I know I don't want to upload every pic back up on the server cause it would just put too much pressure on the server.
  4. The plus side is that Williams and Davis are known to bring it all the time and thats definately gonna be a big difference maker compared to Rose, plus this offense flat keeps people involved. The triangle left people standing in corners and that takes you out of the offense. Plus BC was constantly bashing the shooters and stopping the team from running and having fun. You got to have fun and you have to play your style of basketball and the Bulls are a fast team, make cuts and get your shooters open and all your shooters are great passers and in turn they get the big men going which is exactly what happened. Plus Skiles can flat coach. His X's and O's are definately a HUGE improvement over BC's and he seems much more of a floor general as a coach, working on position and coaching the team, although I'm sure part of that has to do with the fact that the team is still learning the system. I do agree though, this could very easily be the honeymoon, I don't think it is because the Bulls have loads of talent.
  5. Vince...who do you think are the best cf's in the AL and the NL and then I'll do a little comparison for ya. I'll bring up his stats outside of Safeco and inside Safeco as well as try and figure out his OPS and such without the Cell, although I don't remember anything other then one huge game against the Sox. Mark my words, take him away from hte best pitchers park in the majors and Cameron is a .270-.285 hitter, with 30 hr's, 90-100 rbis, a ton of runs scored, a gold glove, and 15-20 steals. He is one of the best all around players in the majors and one of the least respected. Overall Mike Cameron had a .774 OPS (One of the best indicators, but not the only one). He also hit .253 with a .344 OBP, 18 HR, 76 RBI, and 17 steals although he whiffed a whopping 127 times. On the road he hit .268 with a .789 OPS, and a .357 OBP. Shockingly he hit more homers at home then on the road. Now lets take a look at his 3 yr avg. Overall it is a .253 avg, .345 OBP, .796 OPS with 82 steals (Over 20 a year). Away from Safeco he was .278, with a .364 OBP, and a .874 OPS. I'm not saying he would put that up over a full year, but thats a 3 yr average which is a very accurate way to evaluate a player whose basically in the beginning part of his prime at 30 years old. This doesn't even get into the fact that next to Torri Hunter he is the best centerfielder in the AL (and you could argue him better if not as good as Torri). For the hell of it, lets look at Magglio's 3 year average. He is a .314 hitter, with a .381 OBP, and a .939 OPS. While the avg and OBP are a bit better compared with Cameron's road stats, the OPS are similar. Both are very good and both are good overall players although Cameron is the better defensive player and baserunner (Not that there is anything wrong with Maggs). Mix that with the fact that Magglio will likely get paid 3 times more then Cameron and plays a less important position (Harder to get this type of production out of a CF then a RF) it to me makes him a much better possibility if the Sox can invest Magglio's money elsewhere. Now Frank...no one can touch Frank's stats. He is still a very productive player and although I b****, he was one of the better bargains last season. Bargains are what the Sox need if they want to be a small market team and they will definately have to start thinking a lot more thrifty if they want to compete cause over-paying guys when your crying poor won't cut it. Just find other options and roll with the bunches, ala Beane. I'm not a Beane lover, but he could do a lot with what the Sox have. Things could be worse, although I wish they were better.
  6. Cubs have been pretty damn legit as of late. I'm definately jealous...I'll be honest.
  7. No, he didn't throw as hard, but part of it was because he became a bit more of a pitcher and he emphasized the changeup a lot more and was working on other pitches. He wasn't near as effective as he could be and your right, the curve and slider weren't there, but I never remembered him having much of a curve/slider. He's always been a good off speed pitch away from winning a Cy Young. Colon is still one of the few guys I'd classify as a true 1.
  8. I think if you look at the statistics in the 80's you'd notice that the Sox were typically outdrawing the Cubs. Actually it was pretty up and down but the point is this wasn't always a Cub town. With Nex Comiskey the Sox were the big draws for about 2 years, then the strike hit and the negative publicity came out and the Sox payroll took a dive. Despite that it really hasn't been that long of a time with the Cubs outdrawing the Sox. The problem is this is a rare time period where they are outdrawing them while having a not so good record (Other then this year). Sox fans got tired of it, but by all means there are a lot of Sox fans. The key is JR has to get those fans back and frankly he won't do that without winning a series and it doesn't seem like management is willing to spend a few extra mill when it can really make the difference. I'm not saying 70 or even 80 mill, but spend the money to get the pitching and fill some holes and that type of stuff to make the team competitive, hell 65 mill would be plenty, imo. He won't do that and he's alientated way too many fans. Truly the best thing for this organization is a new owner with a new attitude. Not necessarilyi a I'm gonna buy this thing attitude (Although I don't think we'd complain about that) but someone wliling to fork out a little extra cash when he knows it could make a difference and one that truly goes out and gives an all when the team has a shot. If you suck, then screw spending the money, work on rebuilding, and instead spend the money on your drafts.

    Shortstop

Ramirez is the reason the Red Sox were comfortable moving Freddy Sanchez, but he'll likely slide over and play 3rd. Odds are the BoSox will have Nomar or Arod filling up short for a long long time. But the Red Sox aren't too willing to give up prospects unless we give up some legit players in return. I don't think they are gonna want Konerko, Maggs or Lee.
  10. You talking about Art Bell and stuff? If so I used to listen to that every night, but haven't listened to it near as much. THere is some good stuff on, but also some horrible subjects. Usually a very interesting listen though.

    Fight Club

Fight Club is the movie Brando is talking about. It was a good moie. Ed Norton was the very best in American History X though. He's a really good actor.

    Christmas Tree

agreed...ya gotta go with real and the holidays are an awesome time. I'm out of school for 6 weeks, work less hours and get some vacation days and frankly I love getting and giving gifts.
  13. Great game...still one game though. I love the difference that Skiles brings as well as the intensity that Davis and Williams bring. You just see a difference out there both defensively and offensively. With the triangle guys had to force shots because they wanted to shoot. Cartwright didn't let them play free and Skiles has said we'll run plays for everyone, you want have to worry about getting your shots. Still...one game...although I'm liking what I saw and Hinrich was big tonight, imo and we all know I love JC. Let the Bulls get hot, get Chandler healthy and I'll be really stoked cause I love Chandler, Crawford and Hinrich. Erob is also one of my favs, then Curry.
  14. May I add that no one looks selfish. Hinrich is playing good, shot is off, but hustle and some great passes and damn what a play by Hinrich to steal it, dish it to Erob who goes up for a dunk to drop the ball off to Curry who slams it down. Also a sweet alleoop to Curry from Crawford earlier in the game.
  15. I've been thinking for a bit that this deal will lead to the development of Eddie Robinson and it will turn Crawford into an absolute star. These two guys will help push the Bulls into the playoffs this year and will make the Bulls very fun to watch. And although the Bulls aren't winning the ball movement has been very nice and the plays are actually resulting in open guys. You can definately tell Skiles ability for X's and O's. At the same time I wonder what happens after they get a lot more practice.
  16. I still firmly believe that Jose will eventually get dealt.

    Shortstop

Pokey Reese is a better version of Royce the Choice, imo, but he does have some tools and it definately be worth a look. As far as depth, the Sox have nothing next year so they will need to get someone. Maybe Valido, Perez, Gonzalez come through but they all have a lot of minor league play ahead of them for the time being.
  18. Whoever gets him is gonna end up getting a bargain, imo cause he will instantly become one of the best CF's in baseball, both offensively and defensively. His offensive numbers will sore when he leaves Safeco. I wish KW could make a few moves cause I'd take Cameron over anyone in our outfield at 5 mill a year or less.
  19. Gun readings I'm referring to are the ones I saw on Fox Sports and WGN. Late in the games his velocity was up, but early in the season it wasn't even near the case. Still the fact that he could get it into the upper 90's in the 8th or 9th inning (See the New York Game) shows me something. I'd definately have some doubt about any pitcher thats thrown and been used the way he has, but his shoulder seems to be rubber.
  20. ya...I've been really slow...I was supposed to do it last week, but I got lazy, lol. Will probably do it tonight. Got to find all the pictures again and then they'll be up.
  21. Lol....I know what you mean...when I was younger I'd get the worse gifts (I liked them though), like for my dad one time I got him tickets to a Sox game Of course in your case Jim will like them..thats for sure. So are tags like 200-500 bucks? Thats if u don't mind me asking.
  22. Steff, I'm guessing the file is too big. I changed the uploads a bit whne we went to the new server and I also added .bmp files as acceptable files. I thnk the max size is like 50000 KB or 75,000 KB it used to be bigger. I did see ya got the watch pic up, so hopefully the problem is fixed now
  23. Ya, Rothenswhatever the hell his name is very good. I loved seeing my Hawks spank Miami (OH) at the start of the season. And your right they would probably beat TCU. I also think that Bowling Green and Tulane are pretty good too. There are quite a few good mid majors out there this year, imo. It sucks they don't get that much respect cause I think they are probably better then some teams in other stronger conferences.
  24. Lata BeGood, have fun wherever your going
