  1. I just saw he was on the market so I was going to throw that name out there. If he has a longer contract then Konerko and you can't swap Konerko, I wouldn't see it as a bad thing if you could do the deal straight up. I find it highly unlikely but I've seen Milwalkee do so many stupid things.
  2. Far from over but they are looking so much better. Big thing is the ground game is actually working. Julius Jones is looking like the stud of a back he should be.
  3. Lol, I'm not that nice. I was watching the first half just wondering what was going on in Spiff's mind. I'm sure ever swear word possible had to be said. That said I was rooting for the Noles.
  4. We like to think our school doesn't have a basketball team
  5. I wish Santo the best, he's a great guy but like I've said he's not a good announcer. The few times I have heard him he's just incredibly boring on the air. Kind of like a Homer version of Joe Carter. Nothing against homers by the way. Stoney he's one of the very best and I think he's one of the sharpest pitching minds out there. When he calls a pitch, odds are you see it thrown.

    Kill Bill

Did you think its lame how they broke it into two movies just so they can charge you twice. The 2 parts together is like 3 hrs and 15 minutes. At least its not a long wait. I will say this, if you weren't desensitezed before you saw this movie now you are
  7. He's going to be on the trade block. Could the Sox work a Sexson for Konerko swap. Don't know what Sexson contract is like, but he is a pretty solid firstbaseman and would be a great 5 hole hitter. Doubt its worth it though, since the Sox are going to be wanting to cut salary when they move Konerko. The key will be having a very strong 5 man rotation. You never know what will happen with Elo next year although I think Buehrle will bounce back with his first 20 game season and I'm feeling Cy Young Potential.
  8. Ya Cerb, I saw Castro had those two starts in Kann. If they plan on moving him to the rotation, then I'll move Sanders/Hummel into the 5th slot. I think Sanders will be very productive with that slider he throws. Him and Munoz will be major league relievers. As far as Stumm I hope he can get healthy, but its hard to get him on the list. Ryan Meaux was the closer for the Warthogs for half the year and then went to Bham. He really mixes things up and has very good control. If I find a link I can give you some footage of him warming up that I shot at the Carolina/California league all star game.
  9. Still, 99 RBI's weren't enough for the type of hitter he is. I have very high expecatoins for Maggs and last season (Is that what we call it now) was a dissapointment. Still, he wasn't a dissapointment in Kocherko magnitude. Kocherko is my new word of the day
  10. It would be very hard not to play read if he tears the cover off the ball in spring training.

    Kill Bill

It was way cool. That one fight scene that they go black and white cause of all the blood was so cool. Uma Therman is way hot and so was that girl in the school girl outfit
  12. Move on...if you guys want to bicker, do it another way. Go for it UFC style, at least that way we can get some type of ppv set up. Maybe it would raise enough money for us to buy the Sox
  13. Lol...everyone wants to be just like me...even Michael Jordan
  14. I think going 3 yr 9 mill would be very fair for him. It would be a way to pay him well before he becomes arbitration eligible so he'll be happy. I think one of the best things you can do is treat players that play well for you when your young very well. If you do that your whole organization gets a lot of respect and those players stay happy. Plus, you have a much better chance retaining them for cheaper later.

Not sure who, but I think Ortiz still has the title. Shammy beat someone good, but I'm horrible at remembering most of those guys names.
  16. About a week and a half ago we did starters, so this time lets see who everyones favorite relief prospects are. 1. Arnie Munoz He's a young lefty that already has a full season of AAA under his belt. If you look at his stats you'd say he was just average, but take away the first month of the season and he was dominate and its even more impressive that he did it in that bandbox known as Charlotte. He has a nasty curveball and a good enough fastball that prevents hitters from sitting curve. 2. Gary Majewski Also pitched his first season in AAA last year and his numbers weren't near as good as they were in Bham the year before. Despite that he probably has the best fastball in the organization (I guess their is Stumm). He throws the heat and he attacks hitters. Also has a solid slider. I see him with a closers mentality and I think he's a guy so many people write off, and I don't know why. 3. Jeff Bajerneau (Exuse the spelling) Coming back from an injury and did exception in Bham, especially after the Royce Ring trade. Has a great fastball and I've heard some really good things about him. Plus he's cool enough to post here 4. Jim Bullard Along with Bajerneau he excelled in the pen. It was his first season in the pen and he can throw quite a few pitches for strikes and has fairly good control. He doesn't really have a standout pitch, but can keep hitters off guard. This is going to be a huge year for him in AAA. As a lefty he has one thing definately going for him and if he can find his niche in Charlotte, he'll have a great shot of making it to the big show in a year to two. If their is one guy I'm pulling for, its definately Jim 5. Fabio Castro First off, you gotta love a guy named Fabio. While everyone scratches their heads, he pitched for Bristol last year and flat dominated. At 18 he's got a bright future. He struck out 16 guys in 11 innings in Kanny. He went 6-2 with a 1.72 ERA in 47 Inn. He struck out 59, and gave up just 29 hits. This guy must have some serious stuff.

Bad Boy From Huntington Beach, Tito Ortiz. Best fight we never got to see was him vs Vitor Belfort. Belfort's my fav. Fastest hands ever. I have a dvd where he just crushed a then undeated Vadalai Silva. It was awesome. The Real Pro Wrestling is not quite 'normal' wrestling. Points are more easily rewarded. I believe it is a point if you lift the other guys' leg. I hated Shamrock. f*** the Lion's Den. Ken was one of the main figure in UFC, but he should be done. He shouldn't even think to fight Ortiz. Tank Abbot was pretty insane back when he was younger. Saw a few fights where he completely creamed some guys. But no one compares to Tito Ortiz.

No, people tried to create a wrestling where it was a variation of Olympic style wrestling, but a lil glitz and glamour. It sucked ass. It's scoring was different and everything. They were just trying to make real wrstling mainstream, but never worked. Some of my friends are huge in ultimate fighting. They especially love to fight each other in just brawls at someones house and stuff. I love watching the stuff, but my style wouldn't work well in it. I know two kids who have actually done it, there is a training place not far from my home. Those are all the nuts though. A buddy of mine is friends with Tito Ortiz cousin (For some reason I called him Maddux). We all went to this sparring session about half hour from my house and Ortiz was doing it. It was insane how quick and powerful he was. Those guys got some serious balls.
  19. I thought of it as a good thing. I think the last thing a team should be thinking about when down 12-2 is the game to a point. If you sit there and take a loss too hard your screwed. To me Ozzie is exactly what the doctered ordered when it comes to the Sox. He has a great knowledge, is aggressive, will command the respect, but at the same time I see the players having fun. I could really see Ozzie have a Dusty Baker like effect as a manager (Minus the way Baker handles pitchcounts). I think the biggest thing with Baker is the players respect him and listen to him, but he's also such a great guy that he keeps them lose and they really are friends with him too. Thats a fine line and very few people can pull that. I got a feeling Ozzie can.

No, like ameteur wrestling, College wrestling.. also ultamate fighting is the coolest f***ing thing ever, some wrestlers have done it Its all about Tito Maddux or whatever his name is. Ultimate fighting is freaking awesome. You got to have some serious balls to do it. I know that Ken Shamrock and Ryan Shamrock did it, but I don't really consider them wrestlers, although I have no idea if they wrestled in college or anything like that. I call WWF comedy.
  21. well jas maybe we should put something on the main board too not everyone wanders over here ya know and get everyones opinion or ideas....maybe stick this or create a new one so we can get everyone involved whos interested...??? then we can gather all the ideas come up with something and buy them... id like to have one ready to go for opening day.......
