  1. We know theirs a Sox bar or at least we made it one for a few days. I'm guessing your due for another shoe shine. That guy was way cool and freaking hillarious.
  2. I can say one thing..its gonna be a depressing winter for many and I'm sure many are already drowning their sorrows in booze and more booze. Your probably be right. I'd rather get swept then be thought of as the biggest chokers of all time. I still couldn't imagine if the whole Bill Buckner thing happened with the White Sox. My god...talk about heartwrenching.
  3. My uncle is a big Cub fan and he took his two goats to his work (He has his own auto repair shop in Iowa) and dressed them in Cub hats and I guess a lot of people came on by. He was saying end the curse of the goat. My dad just called him up saying the two goats should be shot He was just kidding, but damn it was hillarious.
  4. It really says something. Afterall I pretty much rooted for the Cubs all year. Then for some reason after that whole fan incident, my cub passion started to wilter. It had nothing to do with them losing (Afterall I've put up with my sports teams losing all my life) but a lot of Cub fans really get on my nerves. Everytime I go to a Cub game I hear them tell me how the Sox suck, and all this other stuffa nd then they go on about Sammy whose a freaking bum. The guy is a decent DH, thats it. Was he amazing in the past, YES. But he wasn't the best ever. Defense...he ain't go any...Arm...WEAKSAUCE, and attitude, he's SELFISH.
  5. JM should of been fired after the slow start, but in his defense the team did play kick ass baseball in the 2nd half, even though it wilted right in the end, before coming back out and playing well against KC.
  6. I would of loved to be given the chance at least. I just have to continue on thinking this year will be the year. No matter what you got to have hope.
  7. I'd be stunned if it happened. I do think torre is a pretty sharp and nice guy. THe only flaw is he reminds me so much of JM. But all that bling bling should command some respect.
  8. Been watching a lot of Fox News lately about the case and from what I can tell and have heard, it doesn't sound good for the girl. Kobe didn't have any scratches or defense wounds and her story changes about once a week. I think Kobe definately made a mistake, but if he didn't do this, then I think its a real crime that he has to go through it and she should have to face charges.

Couldn't agree more. Everyone here is entitled to their opinions and don't let someones opinion stop you from posting. BeGood, I know there are plenty of people who like your posts...if some don't, who cares. The same could be said for every poster. I'm sure some posters dislike some peoples post and like others, it all depends on preference. If you let one or two peoples opinions stop you from posting then I Think your making a mistake.
  10. Hope you don't mind, I had to borrow that choke and use it as my avatar

I read somewhere that some beer company put up a sign a bit prematurely. Don't know if its true or not.
  12. He should take this opportunity to live it up down in South Beach
  13. Nice...Natalie Portman. You know who else is super hot....the girl from smallville.
  14. Damn my minds off. Red Sox are gonna win tomorrow, or so I hope. Its gonna be a kickbutt game, I know that.
  15. I agree and disagree. I've disagreed all season with the way he's handled his pitchers and I think it will have a lasting effect. I could see it also becoming a huge brightspot if they do turn into complete workhorses and stay healthy. I do agree though, Gonzo and the players are at fault too. So all of a sudden after pitching 7 shutout innings last night, Prior brokedown because of how many innings he pitched this season? That's a weak excuse for the choke job the Cubs managed to pull off. In my opinion I think it had something to do with it. I could see he was pretty tired. Not saying it would of made a difference though and I won't second guess him for sticking with Prior, you stick with your horse.

If I knew how to say my ideas, then I could be a "good" poster Here's something I'm gonna say just once. Who the hell cares what another poster or two thinks of you. Just post your comment or opinion and move on. Some will agree, others won't. As far as respect its something that is gained over long periods of time.

I'm gonna come in and defend Cubssuck. He's been a great poster. He adds a lot on the baseball side, offtopic side and its great how he also spends time making sigs. There are a ton of other very good young posters out there. Clu's entitled to say what he wants too though.

Bottomline, if I were a Cub fan, I'd be pointing a lot of my blame at him. It sickens me to see how he handles that pitching staff. You could really tell from Wood and Priors most recent starts that they were wearing out. Velocity was down and their mechanics weren't near as good. They were also tiring out quite a bit earlier then typical. Dusty, tahts what you get when you have your pitchers throw and extra 20 pitches when they don't need to quite a few times in a season. It adds up to another two or three starts and thats all you would of needed. They will be really lucky if Wood/Prior/Zambrono don't get hurt. My gut tells me Zambrono and Wood go down next year.
  20. All my Cubs blood has officially dried. I couldn't help but root for the Marlins during this series. GO SOX GO
  21. If the Sox pulled this kind of choke job, I'd be wheeping.

Beckett has been really impressive too. My vote goes to Pudge with Cabrerra in 2nd and then Beckett.
