  1. yeh we get them reeeally discounted. $0 for 7 games Thats what we get for baseball
  2. I dunno...I'd say a lot of people will be going to the hospital with some eye injuries
  3. LMAO. I know it wouldn't be funny, but as long as no one got hurt, a part of me would be kinda laughing even if I know it would be wrong to.

I just live at home so I dont' have any horror stories. Hell, my school only has like 100 dorms. So when does everyone start back up. August 27th for me
  5. Dang this is some weird stuff. If it stays dark at night I wonder how many people will be looting.
  6. Washburn had his A game last night. Sox were robbed of a run that inning (5th?) when Rowand ripped what would of been a one out double and then Alomar followed that up with what would of been an RBI base hit up the middle (Neither guy got on). Still Sox failed to get another run in and that was their fault. I'm not gonna gripe, Sox need to move on and concern themselves with this next one and leave the West Coast 2-2 on this set and take care of business against the Rangers.
  7. Agreed. Mario and I got into a debate on the trip in regards to closers. We both think its stupid for a team to have a closer if they dont' have one really awesome pitcher. If your closer is mediocre and you have a few mediocre guys, play the matchups. The thing is still have one or two guys that you call the closer (So they know their roles) but flip them back and forth and let them know they aren't always gonna close, sometimes they will set up, etc. Basically I like things the way the Sox do it with Marte/Gordon. If you have Gagne or Smoltz then you don't do that or even to a lesser extent a healthy Koch (i do think this has been bothering him all year).
  8. Good stuff..can anyone tell me when Stumm got called up to Birmingham?
  9. Cotts is the 2nd best in the system. Honel is flat out amazing. Behind those two its Wing (Another lefty who impressed the hell out of me when I saw him pitch; also has an amazing pickoff move). I do think that Cotts is going to be very good though. I don't know how anyone can write him off after one game.
  10. I'll take Adkins and Wright over him.
  11. Quick, lets sign him and trade him to the Yankees for Jeff Weaver.
  12. The big thing is I don't think the Sox want to strip the Barons chances of going to the postseason. I also don't think that Pacheco is ready. I'm sure the Sox want to give him another year of AAA, especially since this has been his coming out party. You also have to note that Adkins has pitched extremely well in a hitters park. He's been more dominant as the season has went by and when I was in Charlotte I heard some really good things about him and some awesome things about Wright and Rios (Their attitudes namely). Adkins earned this callup. I'm guessing once Ginter can be called up, you may see him replace Adkins, but thats me speculating.
  13. Definately by foot. If I know the area I can get away from most anyone and have done so a few times
  14. Its probably because I'm at the games.
  15. I'd sign him if the Sox could sign him to a minor league deal (don't think that would happen). I do think he'd be a solid pickup. Has some potential.
  16. Agreed...Neal I'm cheering for ya and I think your gonna be awesome. Hope your get another start and they don't just send ya down

Take care Delben. I wish ya the best of luck in your final year of school and hopefully you fine a kick butt job after that

Steff...if you want you can delete the ones you've sent and then you'll have plenty of space. Also, I'll bump up the limit a bit.
  19. I became a big fan of Gload when I saw him play with Charlotte. He's got good speed for a first baseman, a lot of pop and very quick hands. He can also play good defense. I think if given a chance, he could produce.
  20. Don't blame the umping. Sox failed I think 4 times with a runner on 3rd and less then 2 outs. Sox also stranded umpteen runners. I thought they were gonna do it and stuck through it the whole way, but things didn't work out.

Not only know your limits, but if you plan on drinking then don't drive.

Thats what I think all of us want to here. You made a horrible mistake...and your lucky that no one else was hurt and that you made it home safely. Unfortunately many people aren't that lucky and to put yourself in that position just isn't right. Even if you think your alright, but you know you've had a few to drink, don't drive. If I go to a party and drink (not a heavy drinker) then my buddies and I always make sure that at least one person doesn't drink so we all get home safely. And if for some reason we all drink, then we stay the night, call another friend or call one of our parents. I'm sure if ya called your dad, he'd be pissed at ya, but he'd be happier with picking ya up then having ya laying on the ground somewhere. Just learn your lesson from this and next time be smarter. Hopefully you have. This goes out to everyone...don't drink and drive and don't let your friends drink and drive.
  23. Nah...we can't look at them. Even if we could we wouldn't. Those are none of our business.

Sounds like you have a pop up program in your computer. I'm assuming like an adaware type program would remove them. Since you have that Norton thing I'd think that would do it.
  25. Didn't Washburn get that start? Maybe I'm wrong. I must be repressing memories from that game. I know I was sitting in the upper deck right behind home plate and all my buddies were giving me crap for that one. After a while I just started laughing and rooting for more runs
