Dang Carlos Pops up. Looked like he chased at least one ball with a 3-2 count.

Suggestions
In the coming weeks were going to be doing some work sprucing the boards up and I want to see if anyone has anythings they'd like to see added. Amongst some of the things we'll be doing - Moving to a Brand New Server (Date Unknown at this time, but there will be no downtime; I will be transferring everything to the new server and then once everything is over I'll switch the new server on). - Giving the Board a Sox Tone - Adding more SoxNet Brand Cards in the future and a page where you can easily get them - Upgrading the board, which will make it a little faster (Not much of a change) - Fixing the Registration Error Were hoping this changes will be made to make the board much better in the long run as well as during the "Playoff Run"

Why do you guys think about this as...
Let me say this about Appier. When I go to Angels games, I ensure to make sure that Appier isn't pitching. He is absolutely horrible, but at the minimum salary he's worth the risk.

Bulls Signed Corie Blount
They also lost Fred Hoiberg to the Timberwolves. I thought that was a good move by the TWolves. I always liked Hoiberg and I'm sure Heads like Hoiberg (Cyclone). I liked Blount last season with the Bulls and I'm glad he'll be back. Nothing huge, but its always good having quality guys off the bench.

I love how they are using a much more constant lineup. I think it lets players know their roles and know what they expect.

Question to anyone with contacts
You should get used to them. At first they could kind of bother you. I don't even feel mine. I wear soft though, but I love the things. Didn't need glasses or anything till highschool and I just couldn't stand wearing glasses (Getting in your way playing sports etc) and contacts have worked great. Once your eyes adjust you should love em.

First all Gay Highschool
Guys...I'm blad to see no one is making anymore personal attacks. If any poster wants to come out then thats there right, but if they want to keep it to themselves thats cool too. Its great that people here can have these kind of in depth discussions, but lets keep the name calling out of it.

Aaron Boone?!?
Welcome Aboard I too would love to see Boone acquired. I think playing him at 3rd with Crede rotating in (Boone ocassionally playing 2nd/1st, etc) and then next year the Sox can go with Boone at 2nd and get a little younger and get draft picks for Alomar. If Crede is a necessity in the deal, then I think the Sox should get more. I Think Boone is basically forcing his way out and the Reds aren't gonna get much for him. Also I think the Reds already have Bradon Larson in thier farm system as a young 3rd baseman. I think we could trade rauch, Diaz, and Ginter for Boone and Sullivan. What the Reds need is pitching and I think they would do that deal to get pitching. You may think that we aren't given up much but we really don't have 2 because, Boone wants out, and the owner wants Sullivan out. If we get Sullivan it allows us to cut White and Boone would be an upgrade at 3rd for this season. Another good thing about Boone as other have said is that he can also play SS, 2nd, and probaly 1st. So next year we would not have to resign both Alomar and valentin just one. Also this would help us against LHPs. We could have a starting infield of 1st base Konerko, 2nd base Graffinino, SS Boone, and 3rd Crede. That would be a very fair deal in my mind. I'd try to hold out to keep some of the pitching, but I'd be more then happy with something like that. The flaw is Sullivan is on the DL so I think he won't be dealt till after the 31st so he'll have to clear through waivers.

Sox turned down Ponson for Crede
Would you guys do Ponson for Borchard? I think that kind of move could temp the Orioles and I'd do it if the Sox locked up Ponson.

Cub Fans
Wonder if Baker is going to blame the fans when all his great young pitching blows out their arms.

Sox Acquire Schoeneweis in 5 Player Deal
I think you guys will like Glover, but he's a big step down in your pen. The pen is awesome. I go to like 20 games a year and I noticed Scho's velocity is way up this year from last year and he's been dominant this month out of the pen. I think the Angels gave up on him too soon, but I have no idea what others thought. I know my friends and I (They are all big Angel fans too) always liked him. Either way I wish the Angels the best of luck, but they need to get 2 starters in there and they at least got rid of one of their problems (Appier).

Why do you guys think about this as...
Appier makes a ton of money. To sign him the Sox will have to let him pass through waivers and then sign him at the minimum. He is signed this year and next year at like 8 mill per season so no way do the Sox want to touch that. No one will pick him up and then a team can get him at the minimum (If I understand things correctly). I am not a big Appier fan, but as a fifth starter it isn't a horrible option. Add Appier as the 5th and acquire a good right handed reliever (Danny Graves, Lightenberg, etc).

Jose Guillen traded
Valentine has really struggled in AAA. I think the key to the deal for the Reds is that Harrang can enter their rotation. I think it was a good deal from the Reds perspective. A's may of given up too much, but neither Valentine nor Harrang fit in their plans.

Koch pitching simulated game
Usually a hitter won't take any hacks in a simulated game but he will stand in the batters box. And they do situations and all that type of stuff. Its a great question though.

Williams, Sox May Not Be Done in Market
I'll pass on Felix the cat. Was never a fan of his when he was with the Cubs. I think the Sox have the lefties in the pen now (With Sanders and Munoz in AAA as the next in line) and now they should add a good righty reliever or another starter. I'd still prefer a really good reliever because I think having an awesome pen would be HUGE, especially in the playoffs, but thats a big "if" since the Sox aren't even in first nor have they clinched anything.

Sox Acquire Schoeneweis in 5 Player Deal
Thanks for the info Skipper. I'm a pretty big Angel fan (Not as big as the Sox) and I've watched Schoey since he came up. I always was a big fan of him and Wasbhurn as they developed at the big league level and I too thought he got a raw deal. Last year he definately should of been sent to the pen, but this year I haven't heard him whine other then saying he thinks he can start. I don't blame him considering Appier and Sele have been horrid this year and people like Mickey Callaway have a few starts with the Angels. I hope he doesn't whine, etc when he's with the Sox, but I do think he's a good pitcher. I also was a big fan of Glover but he really dissapointed me. When he made it with the Sox a few years ago he had awesome stuff. Each year since then the stuff has just got more bland.
