  1. The alternative to getting a relief pitcher is acquiring Ponson and moving Porzio or someone else to the pen while dropping Glover, but I don't know if the Sox do that. I still say Stanton (Whose signed for the next couple years) for Glover or Majewski wouldn't be a bad move. Get the Mets to pay most of the contract the next couple years so the Sox only pay him like a mill a season. Glover or Majewski would be good pickups as they both could come in and contribute. I may be wrong on Majewski whose numbers have skyrocketed since Birmingham last year, but I think he's only 23 and I still think of him as a good prospect.
  2. Stumm is supposed to still have fantastic velocity and from what I remember his era has been in the 1's pretty much all season until yesterday. Sox have been incredibly careful with him and they are slowly working up his workload. Next year he'll be more of a regular use guy and maybe just maybe in two years he'll be up in Chicago (thats a huge maybe; I'd say with all the injuries the Sox move him slow and he's up here in 3 years and thats if he stays healthy). One more injury and I'd say he's done.
  3. Lacrosse is really fun. I like Rugby a lot. But my favorite is beach football In regards to Frank I wouldn't be all that shocked to see him gone at the end of the year. The Sox are going to have to move a few guys simply because the positions are all crowded in the wrong area. Why invest so much money in DH/LF/1st baseman when the team could really use a shortstop and 2nd baseman (If Alomar is gone) and they could also use another reliever. Its just not wise to have all your money typed up in that slot, especially if the guy isn't the best out there. If the Sox were smart, they'd unload at least one of Konerko and Thomas. In the past I would of said the Sox would be nuts to move Konerko over Thomas, but Thomas contract is better cause of the mutual options while Konerko has a much more guaranteed deal. I'd hope for Konerko to hit the hell out of the ball the next couple months and then the Sox can deal him for good value and spend his money and what they free up losing some other guys on resigning Colon or signing Ponson and then making a run at Tejada. Tejada may be a bit over-rated but having him at short would be awesome. You get a guy that can produce at a position where production is typically limited. You can find guys to whack the s*** out of the ball for cheap..typically (Someone like Brad Fullmer only makes 2 mill) but to get a shortstop to do that is difficult.
  4. He needs a full off-season. I think dasox24 was wanting him to pitch like he did last season in winterball. Right now I won't have him pitching until he comes back in spring training. And yep LDF, it was us who had that debate and we were right. I hate seeing pitchers get used that much because they really need a rejuvanating period for their arm to get better. Right now I'm scared out of my mind for Marte. The Sox need another reliever up here that Manuel can trust and stat. Having Wunsch back is huge, but a 3rd left would be very nice. Munoz will never be a starter.
  5. What, no pic? I saw it at the LA auto show, don't have a pic though. It comes out in the next month to month in a half though Also the new RX is badass. Saw one a few days ago parked by Best Buy, had to take a closer look at it.
  6. Also, not quite the proper fit but Dave Attell
  7. Conan and Jon Stewart are awesome

    Family Guy

I think I speak for Cerb and I when I say this "You must be this tall to ride the Quagmire"; Then you get to hear Quagmire's chuckle
  11. I never heard anything...maybe it was a bogus story?
  12. I'll buy it off of ya. I'm thinking of getting one of them on Ebay while the value is down. I have one Sox shirt and two Sox hats.
  13. Nick Lubisich is a soft tossing lefty thats repeating.
  14. They have the options...one of them will exercise.
  15. He's gonna be good. I don't have any doubt that he'll be a very good lefty reliever. I also think Munoz will be. Munoz was overworked and his arm is basically dead...give him a full offseason and he'll come back dominating next year..mark my words with that. Munoz, Sanders, Marte will likely be the pen..although odds are the Sox keep Wunsch.
  16. One more out and then I'm assuming we see Koch.

    Gile Rumor

New stadiums can pay off if they build a good team. The real key is building good teams and not having absolutely crap stadiums (see Oakland).
  19. This next month is going to really show what this team is made of. If they play really good baseball, then they will be the team to beat in the AL Central. The key is one game at a time.
