I'm gonna be there for 3 of the games, maybe 4 of them depending on how much money I have left after the road trip. Thus far I have tickets to August 11th's game.

Roman...all he would of had to do was email me or private message me about his site. I would of told him to make a post on the off topic board to tell everyone who was interested about the site. But to come in and just message people randomly isn't the way to handle things. Especially with us, were so laid back as it is. Well, I think WHite said this in the wrong place, but I've believed that Manuel blows at telling guys their roles for years now and its why I've been constantly calling for him to be fired. I don't think there is any secret that the Sox went on their winning streak during the same time period where Manuel actually went with a set lineup.

Agreed, beating a team with the Cards offense and at his price has to mean he'll command some good prospects. I think thats why Jarvis makes a bit more sense if they can get the Pads to pay part of his salary.

Ok, the server was fixed and everything is back at 100%. I'm setting up a transfer right now to the brand new server and am going to pick an off day (i'm assuming there will be some down time at that stage of the game, but I'll know more shortly). The new server should be sweet. I've been running futuresox on it and thus far I've not once noticed an outage so it should be super sweet.

Everyone, I'd like to apologize for the outage that occured this morning. We will be upgrading the server at the end of August to a brand new server which should result in even better up time. The reason the boards were out was the harddrive was shot on the server and they had to repair it. I don't know if they have fixed it permanently or not but I just put in a request to get more info. They told me if their is any other problems with the harddrive they will be transferring our site to a different server. If that ends up being the case there will likely be some-down time, but I think right now everything is back and they have things fixed. I'm assuming they are gonna swap in a new hard-drive at some point today with a full backup of this drive. When that happens there will be about 5 minutes of downtime. I'll keep everyone updated throughout the day and I apologize for the inconvienence (excuse the spelling).

Sorry guys...Just put a call into the server company to see whats going on. I've been swamped at work thus far this morning and didn't even know it was out. At the end of August we'll be upgrading to a brand new server and adding bandwith. I'm not sure if the problem was in regards to bandwith cause the site has been setting record numbers on hits each month. Once again sorry about the outage.

Well, I'm not gonna say Colon had master control today cause I think the game would of been quite a bit different had the ump not been calling everything for a strike, but he called it the same way for both teams. Either way Bartolo had an awesome fastball tonight and was moving it all over the plate, instead of his usual hit one spot and keep trying for that spot the entire night. With the movement on his fastball, if he's able to keep a hitter guessing, he'll be amazing.

Part of me believes that there are two Barons that could contribute at the major league level now if given the chance and they are Cotts and Reed. Still, going slower is probably best. No way will Reed be up this year, except maybe as an extra player in September. Its all a question with Cotts of how confident the Sox are of his abilities.

No....... one outing isn't gonna kill a guy...... Most of these guys are tough enough to deal with that..... Hell, if they are not, then it is better to find out now. again a great post............ i am ready, bring up the kids. i been high on a lot of them and i want to see them succeed. f***ing a!!!!!!!!!!!!! This won't be popular, but I think Wright is the best option, depending on rest. Cotts goes Monday and if a 5th starter is needed on Saturday (going on what someone else posted, I haven't looked at the schedule) then he would be right on schedule. Watch how he does tomorrow night and it may give you some insight. He is coming off by far his best outing of the year, so if he can double that up tomorrow night, he may be deemed ready. The only catch may be the 40-man roster issue. According to the Sox web site, they only have 38 players currently on Major League roster. If that is the case, then the only issue with bringing up Cotts is do they add him to the 40-man this early. If they are not confident he can be in Chicago next year and may need AAA time, then you are starting the MLB service time clock awfully early. I think Cotts will be the man, although Wright is the safer choice. I got a great feeling about Cotts and I think he can handle himself. Rex, only got one question From what you've seen of Neal does he seem strong mentally. By that I mean can he overcome aversity if he does get hit hard at first.

I've been getting a sneaking feeling that were gonna see Cotts up here for the rest of the season and the Sox will bring up Wright just before the rosters expand and try him out in the pen. I also see them moving Porzio or someone else for someone like Mike Stanton. I think that will be their only move.
