Nanita Sets Pioneer League Hit Streak Record
Chisoxfn replied to elrockinMT's topic in Pale Hose Talk
Well I Wouldn't send him up to high a ball this year, but maybe low A ball if they eventually wanted to promote Sweeney to Great Falls and they'd have room to do that if Nanita or Anderson went to Kannapolis. I'm wondering, how often to guys in shortseason get promoted to A ball? -
Nanita Sets Pioneer League Hit Streak Record
Chisoxfn replied to elrockinMT's topic in Pale Hose Talk
I did the same earlier, but all I got was the Sox were sitting him becasue he aggravated the college injury sliding into base. The baseball writers in Great Falls said that it was obvious that something more serious was wrong. Interesting to see if you get any more response from the team PR person. Ya, I'm hoping they give a little inside info or something I also asked for an update on Schnurstein. -
I think KW would deal Frank, its JR that won't let him. Kw wants nothing to do with Frank.

He was a former coach of the cubs. Bruce Kimm is the White SOx 3rd base coach. I think you lost me, lol

Nanita Sets Pioneer League Hit Streak Record

I put in a request for some info from the Great falls media person, so hopefully we'll get an update on when he'll be back. And Congrats Nanita. -
Damn, thats an awesome move by the Ducks. Federov is superior player to Kariya.
-
Its in the Paul Konerko thread somewhere, I think.

I think the Tribe would move Milton Bradley. I think they are sick of him dogging it. He's been on the hotseat there for a while. Wedge doesn't put up with that. He gave Bradley a good lashing after screwing up on the bases in the game against the Sox. Something I"ve yet to see Manuel do to a player after they make a major goof. Not saying it shoudl be done if you make one mistake, but if you continually make them, then rip into the guy.

sd have a great ss that is project to make it in the bigs next yr, that player is kallid greene(sp) the sd is going for marquee names in the of and 3b to help them Ya, talk as of late is that San Diego is going to find a second baseman and keep Khalil at short, but they do have the option of moving him to 2nd and signing a damn good shortstop. Khalil was one of the best college players ever at Clemson (I think it was Clemson). f*** Khalil Greene...Clemson Asswipe...USCs Drew Meyer is s***loads better...and kicked his ass in back to back games in 2002 CWS...sorry Jason, but ya hit a little close to home there I can tell

JD Drew's brother is a pretty damn good shortstop prospect right?

Backman is the only guy I'd want right now. I wouldn't have a problem with Fisk though. From what I've heard he was alwasy a really sharp player (I really never got to see him in his prime, only during the downside of his career). I wasn't impressed with his dissapearing act during the futures game, but thats not really something you spend a lot of time managing.

Damn that would be nice, cause i see this offense getting going. Mark B is the man. I don't give a damn, the Sox need to sign him and do it now. And I'd never trade him, if he does walk to St. Louis I'll be pissed, but I'd know that as a Sox he'll go down as one of my favorite pitchers of all time. And if he keeps pitching the way I think he can then he may go down as my favorite Sox pitcher ever.

I don't know much about Cron other then he's with Great Falls now and was with the Rockies AAA team last year. I think it would be pretty rare for a rookie ball guy to become a major league manager. I like Levya though.
-
Nice, he's on right now. Just as funny as ever.
-
Ya, Brandon Phillips is damn good. I'd love having him on the SouthSide. Another guy I like, although he's a lazy ass if Milton Bradley. The guy can rake and has all the ability.
-
I could definately see Guillen as a base coach for Wally Backman or some sort of a coach. Both preach the same style and such.
-
Are they freaking nuts. For cryin out loud is Paxon an absolute moron. I don't give a damn how much of a leader Pippen is, he's going to be useless in two years and the Bulls are going to have no options next year to get better. Just sign Posey and tell the fans that they tried to get Pip. Posey is a much better long term solution and I think he's a better player at this stage of the game anyway.
-
I just had to bring this up, since he is automatically one of my favorite players in the NFL I also think he's gonna be a pretty good player.
-
Shapiro did a good job last year at the trade deadline. He got good value for Shuey and now he gave it right up by trading Rodriguez.
-
Well Tejada is available. Padres have a lot of money though and they are going to want to sign someone. Not sure who else is out there. Anyone have a list of free agents this offseason?
-
Was reading the trib and saw this This is really interesting to see. I wouldn't be against having Guillen a part of the organization in some way. I still stick to my guns that Backman or DJ would be good managers, but I like how Jerry keeps some of his really good fundemental players around. Fisk would be another really good guy to have in this organization, too bad he isn't. I don't know if I'd risk hiring him right off the bat, especially with a candidate in Backman around, but I could definately see him on the coaching staff. I know one thing, he would of been a good hire as a base coach, although I have no complaints with Kim (Way better then Waving Wally).

Just got home and I got it on. I'm hoping I didn't miss his act.

Refresh my memory....I keep thinking of the LFer Matsui...is there another wanting to make the move to the US? Not like JR is gonna do any signing of overseas players. I'd like to see Tejada, but it wont happen...although, the way he is hitting this year (.247), who knows. But Frank stays Ya, Japans top shortstop is named Matsui. He is coming over this offseason and is thought of as a very good defensive shortstop who steals tons of bases every year. He also has hit 30 plus homers last season in Japan and was hitting in the mid to high .300's if I recall. I think he was like 27 or so, so he's basically entering the prime of his career. Some think he's better then Godzilla.
