First off welcome aboard to those that are new here. In regards to the rules, everything looks good to me Ss2k3. It looks like you have a very good system, minus the fact that pitchers can't be included, but I don't think when Hawk and DJ do their picks to click that they count pitchers either. I think the objective way is nice because it narrows that doubt, but I won't complain either way I'm just glad we finally have this contest together.

All I'm going to say is if this season keeps up the way it is, we'll be moving Jose Valentin and playing Miles and Jimenez in the infield giving them each the opportunity.

Jerry is saying the right thing right there, but that also sounds like the quotes of a manager that will be gone very soon. I really see the Sox cleaning house.

Well Colon is one of those guys that probably could do some insane amount of work, so could Randy Johnson or even Terry Mullholand. In terms of Prior, look at his pitch count. The only thing he has going for him in terms of the high pitch count is how flawless his mechanics are.

But as long as Cooper is calling the shots with the staff, like he is right now, we really wouldn't have too many worries. Thats the rule though

I'm going to take D'Angelo Jimenez. In case he doesn't play, I will take Paul Konerko.

Konerko or Lee, I would keep one of them, but I don't want Thomas or one of the other around. We need fundementally sound players. I could give a damn about homers. Get guys that know how to handle a bat, play defense, can run, etc. I take avg over power.

Crede isn't the problem. Don't blame rookies and second year players for a teams failures cause they are players that shouldn't be counted on. The guys to blame are the vets: Konerko, Thomas, Ordonez, and Carlos Lee. Give Rowand and White some blame and Koch as well. Ward shouldn't be the only one fired. This team drastically needs a new idea and a new direction, imo.

I'd hit Jimenez and then Olivo. Thats my future top of the lineup. Dump Frank, Dump Carlos, and Dump Konerko. Get rid of those guys and find quality players in return. Guys like Higginson, Kotsay, Trot Nixon, Klesko, etc.

Stats aren't counted. What I always want to know is why don't they just suspend a game and replay it at a later date. Its something I've never figured out and I figure it would be the best way to do it. You shouldn't punish a team thats playing good just because it is raining.

Well an off day is when you'd want to make the changes. If the Sox don't make changes, I'll be dissapointed. You can't sit and wait in a situation like this. The all star game is coming and the Sox need a winner. I don't want to have to watch a fire sale although right now if it comes to July and the team is playing like crap, I'd sell almost everyone but Buehrle, Maggs and potentially Colon. And I'd be tempted to sell those guys if we could get proven major league talent and top prospects in return. Screw this hit homers crap, I want a team that can play fundemental baseball. I wish the Sox were the Twins. Now the Twins, they are FUN to watch.

First off welcome aboard. Secondly I'll be the only one not happy to see Lowe get a win. I like Lowe and all but I don't want KC or the Twins winning right now. Lowe was fine with us, but he has stunk everywhere else he's went. He is a good guy though and I really do wish him the best. I hope someone else blows them in KC, but if he's facing us, I hope we shell him.

Well I still say give Willie one more full week. After sunday make the judgement and if that isn't working right, name Rios the fulltime starter.

Well his stats were damn impressive other then his time in Colorado but I have no problem with seeing Almonte pitch.

1-1 now. Graffy ripped an RBI double that scored Alomar. Alomar was on 2nd because of a great bunt by Wee Willie.

Few, D'angelo is playing. Man, Cirillo makes two nice plays over their at third and the Sox have two quick outs. On a sidenote, Jimenez has looked much quicker lately. I heard on the Oakland game that Jimenez had a bum knee but now he's healthy. This was what the A's announcers said, not the Sox, but that was the only time I ever heard of it. It could be why he looked so slow at the start of the season. Big Hurt is up now. Hurt usually kills Moyer.

Ahhh crap, I have a bad feeling that Jose is getting the start instead of Jimenez. We all know Jimenez is one of my favorite offensive second baseman as well as one of the best leadoff hitters this season. I hope Jimenez is in the two hole.

His last 7 starts he was brilliant. It was also his first full season.

I did my fair share of Cub bashings, but look at it this way. Our lineup was supposed to be awesome, yet its them that is I think 3rd in the NL in runs scored. I'll give them some credit. Don't think their offense will keep it up, but I'll say this, they have all played their butts off and have got themselves into first or wherever they are while the Sox are dragging around. Of course we have more talent and have played like crap but still, they are overachieving while were underachieving. I'd rather overachieve then underachieve and I hope the Sox will start playing.

Ya, that was bad. I hope Marrero is alright. He's done a heck of a job recovering from cancer. (That was Marrero right?)

The biggest plus in Backman is that he isn't a retread. I also ask how often to retread managers end up doing something really good. They typically keep going around and then end up settling as a bench coach somewhere or retiring.

I just heard that while watching the Cubs game. They mentioned it when the Cardinals outfielder went down with a bad ankle injury. They are bringing out the stretcher right now. I think its Placido Polanco and I hope he's alright.
