It is still putting a lot of eggs in one basket. That said, a real superstar would help this team massively. If I'm paying for one, I'm just throwing out the Brinx truck at Bryce Harper. Hell with everyone else...that guy is someone you pay to watch play...period. All that said, I think the Sox are better going short-term with guys who maybe weren't the first to sign. Usually there are a few good guys that you can get on shorter-term more affordable deals with your cap space. Hope you find your superstars internally (Jimenez / Kopech / Yoan).

Great feedback - We are piloting a desktop version with a twitter feed on the right side to make better use of space for those people with bigger screens.

Everything defaulted back to original usernames (the field that generated the "changed" names doesn't exist in the new version. If you want an updated username just post here.

And if Rodon comes back and Kopech is the real deal, than you feel a lot better. There are a lot of "ifs" key to all of this though. Hahn and company better keep drafting well and the Getz and the minor league staff better develop guys. We need more than just the people we traded for to pan out.

It has its own issues, but I think we will see Moncada become a star by the end of this year. Timmy Anderson is making progress too. Still...this rebuild is going to be a lot harder than I think most everyone thinks. I'll have a stronger opinion on how we are trending by the end of June.

When Fulmer / Shields / Migo comprise of 3/5th's of our rotation, we are going to have a lot of bad losses. Add in a bad pen and it will be even worse.

For instructional purposes, below are instructions for how you embed video/twitters. It is really nifty and REALLY easy. Video Embed: If you want to embed a YouTube post. Just copy and paste the link into your post and wait a few seconds. The video will automatically embed (you don't need to try to use code or anything). Twitter Embed: IF you post a twitter quote, you literally do the same thing, copy/paste the twitter link into the post...wait a couple seconds...and the tweet will automatically embed.

No, for one simple reason, catching in the majors sucks. While you can differentiate with a good catcher, you certainly don't need one to win. There are just so few really good catchers. Plenty of mediocre ones.

Agree with you on Yoan / Timmy. On the pen, I'm not that concerned because I figure by sheer luck we should have a few guys that somewhat emerge in the next year to two. Even if they don't, I think that is the last piece to develop and if you get the rest right, you got to be able to piece together a decent pen. That said, if our pen sucks by the end of the year and we haven't identified a pitcher or two that is young and cost controlled that looks like they could be fits, that would be a disappointment. Too many developmental innings throughout our pen to not have a couple pieces emerge.
