QUOTE (soxfan85 @ May 25, 2016 -> 01:05 PM) The Shark bounce back season was the EASIEST bounce back season to predict of all time. Just joking Not really...it was pretty easy to predict. He was never as bad as he was last year and he was never as good as he was the year before, but I said it the moment he signed his deal, that was a good overally signing by the Giants.

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ May 25, 2016 -> 05:37 AM) I'm glad those turd Warriors are on the brink. I guess I am a hater, but I am so sick of the bad basketball and just chucking up 3's being so successful. It's nice to watch a couple of guys I think are better actual basketball players mopping the floor with Curry and his bayside turds. Yes, that was a frosty, 72-10 forever message, and I don't GAF. I am like the only person who isn't that impressed with a bunch of splash brother 3 pointers. I am not a huge fan of how one dimensional the league has gotten. #getoffmylawn #stephonthebrink #possiblethunderLBJrevenge #orLBJgetsCLEatitle #getyerpopcornready This post exactly, but it ain't over till it is over.

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ May 24, 2016 -> 03:02 PM) It is called an ICE breaker, not an ASS breaker... LOL....ahhh this made me laugh (been so slammed at work needed a little peaceful time to get off all this stuff and oh man did this make me laugh...thanks Mike).

I just fart. Usually a good conversation starter (do you smell something....looks in the circle where I am laughing hysterically). In all seriousness, I think most people have some form of discomfort dealing with new situations (only natural). I am great in an environment where I have a comfort zone with people and when I don't, it all depends (I tend to be an awful conversation starter but if it gets into one of my wheel houses, sports, politics, business, finance, movies, I'm all good). I do tend to insert foot in mouth quite often (which one would think my wife would be used to by now, but evidently she isn't...I try to be more careful around other parents in my kids school for my own kids sake). It also depends on the topic and sometimes I can come off as uncompassionate when people are having a vent / b**** session as I usually don't care and think whatever they are whining about is not worth whining about (but that depends on how well I know the person). Please note, my opinion differs when I think it is actually something that deserves compassion (but oh poor you for working 45 hours, I don't care, deal with it or don't...no one has put a gun to your head or instead of whining about what you can't do or spending all those hours whining instead of just doing something (not all work is going to be fun, just do it so you can get past it and spend more time on whatever you do enjoy).

How many wins will Chris Sale have this season?
Chisoxfn replied to ChiSoxFanMike's topic in Pale Hose Talk
QUOTE (greg775 @ May 24, 2016 -> 01:05 PM) Who cares? Wins don't matter in the day and age of advanced stats. They still matter to me. Last I looked the teams with the most wins in the regular season advance to the postseason and the team with the most wins in the post-season wins the series. While I agree wins aren't the #1 factor, I actually find it to be an underrated stat, as I view it as being a pitcher who goes deeper into games tends to give themselves more opportunities to win games, etc (controls more of their destiny and there is value of that to an individual). That isn't to say it is the only factor but I think too easily it is ignored because someone's WAR is better. -

However many starts he has will be how many wins he has. -

5/23 Game 2 - Indians @ Sox, in 30 minutes
Chisoxfn replied to Buehrle>Wood's topic in 2016 Season in Review
QUOTE (coco1997 @ May 23, 2016 -> 05:28 PM) I fully expect the guy with the near 8.00 ERA to shut us down this game. I fully expect EJ to shut them down. -
Now lets get the sweep!!! Lawrie and Ajax, plus a pretty solid start out of Latos (you wouldn't know it looking at the game thread, but he did his job).

All I'm going to say is I need to see more of Tyler. Dude just looks like a ballplayer. Seems like a smart, headsy player, who brings plus D to the field and has a really underrated bat.

**SPOILER THREAD** GAME OF THRONES ** SPOILER THREAD **

QUOTE (CrimsonWeltall @ May 23, 2016 -> 10:18 AM) I don't expect Dany to win at the end. If she does beat the White Walkers, then I'd wager she also turns Mad Queen and has to be killed herself. I see a Stark on the throne at the end. (Team Stark/Snow forever!!!) -
QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ May 18, 2016 -> 01:17 PM) The Bulls are a year away from being out from every major contract except Jimmy Butler. Their financial situation isn't bad at all when you consider what the cap is about to do. And Butler is on a bargain of a deal all things considered.
-
QUOTE (shipps @ May 18, 2016 -> 01:01 PM) LOL Nope, there has to be some sort of buffer there otherwise you will light your f***ing pants on fire with your gas. Depends on the situation, sometimes it is a major benefit not to have the buffer...make it more potent on the people I'm trying to stink out
-
QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ May 18, 2016 -> 12:28 PM) I never said they'd win one. I said they were in a better position to win one going forward than the Bulls are. Which is still true. Jimmy Butler is better than every player on the Sixers (including the #1 pick). Yes, I would still take the Bulls going-forward, the only thing that gives me pause in it is how little I think of Hoiberg as a coach. Bulls also have cap space. Not saying they'll do much with it, but put a quality coach on this team and find a good point guard and another solid player and yes, I think we'd be a pretty good team. Championship, no, but I don't see the Sixers being anywhere close to a championship either.

QUOTE (Tex @ May 18, 2016 -> 11:32 AM) Long tails that stay tucked in. No extra bulk. Flat comfortable seems. Great fabric that wears like iron. Butter soft. AND my favorite feature, the vee necks are deep enough that they do not show with a couple buttons unbuttoned. I hate wearing a polo and seeing a undershirt. These hide well. Same with an oxford shirt. But I am damn cheap with underwear and socks. Now I am a believer. I just make up for the cost by not wearing underwear
-
QUOTE (Tex @ May 18, 2016 -> 08:08 AM) If we are going to discuss dress and clothes . . . I'm an undershirt guy with dress shirts and now with casual shirts. I hated to spend money on them. Now I'm buying expensive undershirts but they make such a difference. http://underfit.com/ and https://ribbedtee.com/store/category/most-p...ar-undershirts/ make well tailored designs with deep vees that are hidden under sport shirts. Damn you tex...I am an undershirt guy too. Uggh......in all seriousness, these look nice...might have to give them a try. When you say they make such a difference, can you provide a little more color on that. Is it more just these ensure the proper fit (an issue I have with some brands of undershirts).

QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ May 18, 2016 -> 10:37 AM) Many Bulls fans made fun of the Sixers and Sam Hinkie's plan but now they are closer to winning a championship than the Bulls are. Also, in Chad Ford's mock draft he has the Bulls taking Michigan State PF Deyonta Davis and links them to him and 2 foreign big men. Anyone have a brief scouting report on Davis? Honestly, I don't know that the Sixers are in a better position than the Bulls. Hinkie drafted a bunch of 7 footers, none of whom appear to be total impact players and some of which have had a hard time getting on the court. The Sixers are awful and have been awful for a number of years. I'm not saying the Bulls are great, but things are absolutely possible. Two years ago, no one saw the Warriors turning into the greatest regular season team in NBA history (record wise) and an NBA champion.

So did the police open up all the doors or did the police open up drawers and other items? I'd argue that for a well being check (if they thought something was wrong with a person, and they just opened doors to ensure their wasn't a wounded or dead body in the house, I don't know that I necessarily see an issue. If they opened up and started digging through actual drawers, etc., than not being a lawyer, I struggle as to what would drive the probable cause. It sounds like it was the dogs that actually did the damage, after being let back in by your mom. Yes, it would have been nice if the police officers shut the doors they opened, but in the grand scheme, how would they possibly know that they should have shut all the doors (it isn't that big of a deal to leave a door open or not; Could it even have been a procedural item to leave the doors open after they had checked a room). As they are going through the house, you have to remember, they are going through it based upon a police call and doing a general check to make sure the residents are okay. Might be the minority on this but ultimately while it is an annoyance, think about the alternative and how relieved you all would have been if they went in and your mom or someone in your family had suffered and injury and weren't able to get to the phone. Please note, my opinion would differ drastically if they were digging through and not purely looking for an injured individual. Now sure about the "knowing" your family line the lawyer gave you and what that actually means.

QUOTE (staxx @ May 18, 2016 -> 06:00 AM) Awful call, but the sox had so many opportunities they missed that they need to capitalize on. Bottom line this team keeps battling but the bullpen has really let them down as has the defense more recently and just two out runs. Got to get the positive mojo rolling again. No better day than now to start a nice winning streak!!!
-
QUOTE (shipps @ May 18, 2016 -> 09:06 AM) Him alone certainly wouldnt but I think KC was just throwing names out there of guys that could be included in a package to net a top five. It still may not even be a possibility but I am sure they are going to try if they have a guy the feel they HAVE to get. Teams get enamored with players. Niko plays a style of stretch 4 that a lot of teams are looking to go and while he has his flaws, he is still young and absolutely talented, so I could see where a team gets enamored enough with Niko plus the 14 (and maybe something else) to allow the Bulls to move up a bit (not sure if we'd get into the top 5 or not).

I like the idea of catering to Jimmy because I like Jimmy. Dude works hard. Yes, he might be rough around the edges but you know what, I like the fact that he's an old school bust his ass kind of guy and think we'd be a much better team if we had more Jimmy Butler's.

QUOTE (Deadpool @ May 17, 2016 -> 10:59 AM) Understood. I am inclined to agree, but the halos situation is dire, to say the least. Largely because Moreno has gone Daniel Snyder and often times completely ignores the advice of his baseball people.
