  1. Wow...Iowa murdered Central Michigan. Offense has improved each week under our sophmore QB.
  2. QUOTE (bmags @ Sep 15, 2013 -> 12:43 PM) QFT But he deserves criticism for play this game. He is getting freaked out by pressure and once again relying on Marshall. Forcing throws. His pick to Marshall was bad but he spread the ball all over the place. He also needs to hold onto the ball on that fumble. Passing wise, Jay was very good though. Tough luck on the tipped pick.

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Sep 13, 2013 -> 01:26 PM) 9/11 is pre-Soxtalk. Technically, SoxNet was open and we had message boards (under a different board format). I remember because we closed the site down for a few days when it happened and had a link up to the red cross website for donations.
  4. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Sep 10, 2013 -> 11:52 AM) So 7 touchdowns, 5 of which weren't entirely significant, are outweighed by 2 touchdowns, with one being most significant? Dumbest s*** I've ever read in my life. Don't tell me what he's hitting, but when he's hitting. This sounds like a hawk stat.
  5. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Sep 8, 2013 -> 07:26 PM) Well the Big Ten is hot garbage so that doesn't mean much. To me, "really good" teams are championship contenders which is where we differ. There are over 100 division 1 football games. Being in the top 10% is really good.
  6. Geeze...I pick the week to put up a ton of points but end up going against Victor Cruz and Peyton Manning.
  7. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Sep 8, 2013 -> 06:14 PM) Cutler did get grabbed on the left shoulder when he threw the interception, so it wasn't as "WTF" as it initially looked It looked like a potential horsecollar as well. Although it was from the front vs. the back.
  8. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Sep 8, 2013 -> 06:14 PM) I think I'd have them more top 15 and ND top 25, but definitely don't have them on the top tier with Bama, Stanford & co. Big difference between top 3 and top 10 or top 15. Neither is going to be a national champion (and I never claimed such). Michigan is one of the 3 best teams in the big ten, potentially the 2nd best. I think Ohio State is better then them and Wisconsin might be as well (hard to judge for certain on Wisconsin but they've looked damn good in their 1st 2 cupcakes).
  9. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Sep 8, 2013 -> 05:47 PM) STRETCH! Get on back there! I think they are a potential top 10 team. To me, that is a really good team. I think ND is a top 15 team.
  10. QUOTE (danman31 @ Sep 8, 2013 -> 02:41 PM) They played poorly in a win in Bosnia? The defense wasn't great, but that was still a good showing. I'd like to hurt Mexico, but the US only needs to beat Jamaica at home to qualify so I'm not worried in the least. Giving up the early goals they did was poor. Offense was good but defense was brutal early in that game.
  11. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Sep 8, 2013 -> 02:25 PM) Here's the GIF by the way: Don't think that is a late hit by rule. That is a better angle then what I saw when I watched. Bad call.
  12. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Sep 8, 2013 -> 11:36 AM) Just responding to the "I can do whatever I want at work so that means everyone else should too" vibe in here. Trying to make the case that a smart watch could be more useful to a lot of people even though that may not be the case for some individuals in this thread. I still find it disrespectful and don't, even when I'm the one leading the meetings (which is most of the time). The only time I do is when It is on calls where I'm not leading the meetings. Thats just me though. Most of the time I'm in meetings with clients though (vs. internal people) but it blows my mind how even in those settings a ton of people on my side (serving the client) pull out the phone and on a couple occasions we've taken people off of our account because of their ignorant behavior in meetings.
  13. Lets get back on the winning trail on Tuesday. US team has played poorly in its last 2 international games (especially on the defensive side of the ball).
  14. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Sep 8, 2013 -> 02:08 PM) The offense was pretty rotten in the first half you've got to admit. If you're going to do those quick developing plays, you've actually got to catch them. Way too many quick times off the field with no gain. They really found a good groove in the 2nd half starting with that 11 yard completion to Jeffrey after a fake reverse. Cutler started hitting guys with laser beams and they started catching them, there were some great catches in there by Bennett and Marshall. Speaking of which, if Jeffrey stays healthy I have zero doubt he's going to be a perennial probowl. He looks so much smoother in and out of his breaks and his hands look good (although he did fail to haul in a tough catch in the 2nd half). I'm extremely excited based upon the way the oline held up (and how for once our play calling actually put our oline in a position to perform).
  15. There were some bad drops in the 1st half and that impacted things but the actual play calling was solid and I was very happy with how things were progressing. I thought we were setting ourselves up for some nice plays in the 2nd half as well as some good play action. Then again, I happen to think the Bengals are the 2nd best team in the AFC with a top 5 defense so my expectations were based upon that. We weren't playing a bunch of scrubs. That was a legit unit this team beat.
  16. QUOTE (GoodAsGould @ Sep 7, 2013 -> 08:48 PM) At least this year we won't have a championship game wasted on ND. Hopefully they lose a couple more and won't have to deal with seeing them in any significant game. Yep. Be ignorant. ND is a good team. Michigan is a really good team. Last night was a fun, close game, and the best team won.
  17. QUOTE (iamshack @ Sep 8, 2013 -> 01:42 PM) I agree...I HATE. That call...if you're going to call that you have to allow the qb to get destroyed when he cuts it back inside I hate the call too. I think it should be the 2nd step out when you throw the flag but as the league calls it, it was the right call.
  18. QUOTE (chw42 @ Sep 8, 2013 -> 12:40 PM) Hell of a job by Marshall to hold onto that ball. He should have caught it clean to begin with.
  19. QUOTE (Brian @ Sep 8, 2013 -> 11:28 AM) Feels like Shoop is back. O Line doing good on pass protection. Evidently Bears fans are always going to b****. Don't understand good coaching. With Tice Martz they ask for short/quick develping plays and a nice mix and to protect our oline. We actually do it against one of the top defenses in the league and everywhere I look I see retarded fans b****ing (not taking this out on you Brian...just saw it where I watched the game and on bearstalk. its further proof we have the stupidest f***ing fan base on the planet).
  20. QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Sep 8, 2013 -> 11:02 AM) what's with this ultra-conservative offense? Need to protect our oline, specifically the rookies against such a good defensive front. Loved what Trestman did today.
  21. I really don't understand why we dropped Scott to carry an arsenal of tight ends (and mediocre ones at best after Bennett). Makes no sense. I understand if they pick him back up in a week (since he wouldn't be ready this week anyway) but now you risk losing a quality swing tackle on the bench and the Bears need depth at the tackle position.
  22. This is nice. An affiliate semi out my way.
  23. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Sep 3, 2013 -> 08:22 AM) That is the whole problem here. If he has been battling this for a year now, how do we know how good Flowers is? Well it depends on whether the injury had much of an impact to his hitting or if the injury was more of an injury that effected him more in the field.
