I think that's why I get so aggravated around here: there's post after post after post about the nonsense one party does, and yet, most are so blinded to the fact that their party is just as bad if not worse then the other. It makes people appear really shallow.

Bunts are so grinderesque. I simply cannot understand why statheads fail to see the grinder factor. Seriously, it's called mixing it up. There are aspects of it that cannot be measured.

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Sep 17, 2009 -> 12:50 PM) No joke. Its like difference between the basketball teams going the other way. After having experienced both, yes. I would agree. There are a couple of pretty good schools in the metroplex for basketball - but I would think the top 10 in Indiana 4A would handle them most of the time. The football teams here would absolutely destroy those teams up there, though - it's not even close.

QUOTE (bmags @ Sep 17, 2009 -> 04:32 PM) Christ you are impossible. The cries of blood for oil were in the run up to the Iraq war, where people were protesting attacking Iraq with little connection to 9/11. Actually it was none at all. And then it turned out no WMDs. It was NOT a slogan over afghanistan. It was NOT against taking out top Al Qaida officials. Reallllly? I'm so confused, because Iraq = 9/11, at least that's what you people keep telling me that was said over and over. I was kidding.
-
Oh, yes... I keep forgetting. Iraq is pointless.

A big part that doesn't get mentioned about this "overhaul" is self paid insurance. It plays a big part in this, and by this, we should see 60% reduction in coverage, more or less. Quality going up + more coverage (preexisting, etc. - which is a farce anyway) cost savings, period. It's common sense, despite the political stat nerds that I see quoted here all the time.

This team has the greatest pucker factor of just about anyone I think. They have some serious mental/testical/asshole shrinkage after the 6th, usually. They just wilt... and you have to play the game with confidence, even when you're getting skull-drilled.

QUOTE (Rex Kicka** @ Sep 17, 2009 -> 04:06 PM) Because success is boring. Oh but when Bush killed people it wass "blood for oil". I see. Somehow, it's different?

QUOTE (lostfan @ Sep 17, 2009 -> 03:31 PM) Not only that but Iran doesn't have any long-range delivery systems and won't for at least another decade so even if they worked it's a moot point. They don't have nuclear warheads either, and we would be able to detect these kinds of developments well in advance. Interestingly though the critics' knee-jerk reaction focuses on what he's not doing as opposed to what he is doing. In the place of this program he proposed a system to counter short and medium-range missiles from Iran, the ones that actually do exist, with defense systems that actually work. Furthermore, the Iranians know that an attack of that magnitude is borderline suicidal and would almost certainly be followed by a crippling counterattack (if not preemptive one, before the missile launches). In a similar vein, anyone who's been paying attention to The Conflict Formerly Known as the War on Terror in the last few weeks has noticed the Obama administration has been just as effective as the Bush administration in killing terrorists (Mehsud, Nabhan) but I haven't seen anyone talk about this anywhere from the usual national security peanut gallery. It doesn't fit the predetermined stereotype that Democrats are weak on terror and going to get us all killed. So why haven't we heard anything about it? It couldn't be that he has to placate his bats*** anti-war groups and keep it on the hush hush, right? With that said, I do agree with you on the missle defense if he's proposed putting in a short range missle defense in its place. I haven't had a chance to catch up on any news today at all except here, so I don't know anymore then what you just posted.

Yea, there's some pretty good high school football teams in Texas. Dare I say that a lot of "state ranked" teams in other states would be lucky to finish .500 here. That's just a guess, though.

QUOTE (Tex @ Sep 17, 2009 -> 12:42 PM) After a decade of school, $$$,$$$.$$ in medical school costs, I'm going to quit if anything changes. Sorry, but I am just not believing we will see double digit, or even large single digit defections. Perhaps a rise in early retirements, but I just do not see Doctors suddenly quitting to become MonaVie independent sales consultants. In the small sample size I know, I would say this might be reality - there's a lot of docs that I have heard say they'd cut way back or just get out altogether. But that's a small sample.
-
QUOTE (Tex @ Sep 17, 2009 -> 12:12 PM) Which is uncharacteristic of me. Usually I believe everyone is good and nice and accept they are doing things for the right reasons. If this were a Democrat politician, you'd be all alturistuc.

WTG. I bet you feel lots better. Great to see. Go to sleep, drunk ass.

QUOTE (bmags @ Sep 16, 2009 -> 11:35 PM) When that democrat georgia rep calls the all white gang of six racist, he's racist. When we point out that these "grassroots" protests are riddled with racist signs, we're racist. When the crazy right fringe questions obama's birth, the networks cover it legitimately, for some reason, for weeks. They call Obama hitler, they ask, what are the comparisons to Obama and hitler, they say he's a socialist, the 24-hour news cyclists ask if Obama is going too far left with his agenda, they call him a racist, they cover is he's a racist, and the entire time they cry about how the media isn't fair and doesn't understand them. WHAAAA hundreds of thousands protest world wide against the Iraq War. The media says, "Look at what the BUsh administration says the Iraqi's have. We must protect ourselves. Look at these generals we hired getting fed info from the pentagon as to why war is great!" It's the same, it's so similar. As I said, you're so right, you're wrong. Or I'll even say it this way - you're so wrong, you're right. Think about it.

QUOTE (mr_genius @ Sep 16, 2009 -> 05:21 PM) Reminds me of Obama's saved or created jobs line. Today I saved 50 billion jobs. I should be president. Reminds me of a saying I heard the other day: Without an asshole, everyone's full of s***.
-
Oh s***, now we get to see Tex post this 1,000 times.

QUOTE (bmags @ Sep 16, 2009 -> 10:55 PM) Did you guys just black out 2000-2008 because it was painful? It was socially accepted? The anti war protests were not covered except as spectacle. The signs depicting bush as hitler were not analyzed on cnn as actual conjecture. You know what he wasn't called? Socialist, Communist, Marxist, too, because the loony left isn't completely retarded. You know why people who take time to view things at a level higher than elementary might think? Maybe blacks voting for democrats isn't so out there racist, because maybe the modern democrats didn't set out a platform in the seventies trying to win over racists and fight tooth and nail against civil rights progress. Is that racist to not embrace a party that within your parents lifetime tried to marginalize you? You guys are great at false equivalency. Here's one for you. The n word = cracker. They are both racial epithets!!!! Why does one have more power if they are both just, at face value, the same thing? Why is that. BS. CNN, MSNBC, NBC, CBS, ABC, PBS, etc. all gave this (and continue to give it) air time. NBC pulled out Jimmy Carter, just in time, to bring this up to overshadow the whole health care thing. GMAFB - they knew what the man was going to say before they dragged his old racist ass out. Furthermore... wow, OMG, they (the MSM) didn't discuss Bush = everything under the sun suckage? Then we get you same people talking about how "Faux News" manipulates? Wow. The point here is they all do it. Yet, YOU guys are the ones that are trying to create an equivlancy that doesn't exist - and that's the whole damn point here that we're trying to say. It gets pointed out and then we're of course wrong. Please. It's right in front of everyone, every single day. It just happens that "my side" or "your side" has to be right in their false equivalancies, and it's just plain dumb.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Sep 16, 2009 -> 10:31 PM) RWA? Romance Writers of America? They're so pretty.

QUOTE (bmags @ Sep 16, 2009 -> 10:31 PM) he would have won with or without the small uptick in african american pop. voting. I mean, what I don't get is how you don't see that these dumb f***ing old white tea party protestors making racist signs, but, apparently aren't racist, just don't like demmycrats are resorting to not opposition or pure villification, but rejection of legitimacy. Straight up Hitler signs I get, I mean it doesn't make sense, but hyperbole has always had it's place. Socialist, etc, fair game, whatever. But such a huge portion of this debunking him as our president. And don't equivocate this with 2000. That was the most contested election of our time, decided in a way it's never been decided before. So legitimacy of president makes more sense. But it's that he's not our President, he wasn't born here. He's not one of us, he's a muslim (all americans are christians). He's the anti-christ. What is that rooted in? Partisanship? Because if it's mere ignorance, then, they are adjacent fellows. And further I don't make threads everytime Saxby Chambliss tells that boy obama to be humble before the chamber. So much veiled language from southern republicans telling Obama not to be too uppity. But then you act as if we are calling Mike Pence racist for opposing Obama. We are looking at people doing completely ignorant bulls***, calling them on it, and then we're projecting because WE'RE racist. Right. I hate white people, that's a fact. I'm threatened by white people taking my jobs and moving in next door! I'm scared a white man might become president and give all the white people jobs! Because I'm RACIST And here you're making the point I'm making, totally in reverse.

QUOTE (chunk23 @ Sep 16, 2009 -> 10:30 PM) RWA does correlate with racial attitudes pretty well though. ?
-
QUOTE (lostfan @ Sep 16, 2009 -> 10:27 PM) Totally uninteresting conversation, this is why I hate when someone brings up race, even if they say something true. It pollutes everything. Which is sort of my point. It's ridiculous to even suggest that opposition = racism. The "out" here is that someone said "partially"... but the insinuation throughout is that "partly" is a pretty strong faction, and that's totally bogus. But if that's true, then the reverse is partially true - Democrats = racist for even bringing up the point in the first place.
-
QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Sep 16, 2009 -> 10:25 PM) I'm pretty sure you're arguing that none of them are. Where have I said that?
-
This is seriously laughable. And somewhat delusional. Again, go on thinking what you want to. "Republicans are racist!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" And no, no one has directly said that, but look at all the evidence you want to thow out there that they are. Ridiculous.

IIRC just from watching the scrimmage it comes down to line play. I don't know, of course without being there, if MVille has any size up front. I remember MC is pretty quick in pursuit, you could tell that, but if the D runs into size, they're going to wear down in a game.
