QUOTE(fathom @ Aug 20, 2006 -> 07:17 PM) Here's the question I would love to hear answered: what did McCarthy not do last season that made KW/Ozzie feel like he couldn't be a starting pitcher this season? He got absolutely torched his first stint up. When he came back in September, he was decent, but he won't do it again this season for two reasons - 1 - he isn't stretched out, and 2 - he's been scouted now and he will be eaten alive in a starter's role if he's put there this season.

Sometime early next week will be fine. Have a good weekend partying. You're going to the PGA? That sounds like a blast.

QUOTE(Steff @ Aug 18, 2006 -> 09:29 PM) Sweet. That's 3 people here besides me that have/are making moves. Congrats to us!!! I sure as hell hope it's 4 soon.

QUOTE(Steff @ Aug 18, 2006 -> 08:10 PM) Ha.... ha. I've been here a week and I've heard 4 diferent complaints about this woman. Her supervisor does nothing so I guess they think me being the new boss will. Well no thank you... I aint touching it.. I closed my door. At least you have a door to close. Hey - I really should try to talk to you. I would like some 'career' advice.

Worst thread ever.

Steff would have the electric stapler, wouldn't she?

When one's stated mission is to DESTROY you, you have a pretty good reason to hate them. We don't go around saying we're going to destroy nations because of religious beliefs. There's the difference.

Actually the way most 4 cylinder engines are made today, they'll move.

Yep, we're EVIL for supporting Israel in any way, shape, or form. EVVVVVVVVILLLLL...

Sure it wouldn't work. We're 'poison' to most of the world, because of the rhetoric that's spewed forth every day. To be clear, on both sides, the rhetoric is spewed.

I'm glad to know that some people here mock this stuff. No, wait, *you* didn't mean it, you were just showing us the picture. Now, let's turn around and read the positions you support. Oh, then it gets better. You all turn around and get pissed off when you get called people who dislike our country. To make it clear, I'm not advocating that, but some people will say it, because you're sucking in every negative facet of this and other war campaigns. After all, we're just a bunch of warmongering, Christian hate groups going around the world bullying everyone under the sun. What a damn joke. Let's all just go negotiate with these pricks - who start stuff just to get a response so we can be "more hated" and "recruit more terrorists against the US". Whatever. THESE PEOPLE WANT TO KILL ALL OF US. What is so hard to understand about that? Nevermind, I'm wasting my bandwidth.

I pretty much agree, eye.

So was today officially a sellout, or not?

We always seem to play to our level of competition. -
QUOTE(Frankensteiner @ Aug 17, 2006 -> 06:40 PM) The talent gap between the White Sox and Royals is probably greater than talent gaps between any other two teams in baseball. There is no reason, outside of poor play, for the Sox to ever lose a game to the Royals. The Royals beat the Red Sox last week and it was a pathetic effort by Boston in that series. It's funny how a certain few people can just twist things here. I said last week I'd be happy with taking 3-of-4 from the Royals. I know we can't win every game against them, but the Sox should be favored in each game because we're a much better team in all aspects of the game. That we don't beat them is mainly because of our poor play. The fact that we're 9-6 against them on the season is terrible. Ya think? I'm twisted, that's all.
-
Ohh, yea, good point.
-
Come on... ANYTHING less then 14-0 against the LOWLY Royals is COMPLETELY unacceptable. If we were 14-0 against them, we'd only be .5 games back. WHERE IS THE REALISM HERE??!!?? *ahem*
-
Good news. Now we just have to get through September without a hurricane in the gulf of Mexico... good luck with that.

I see how this works. Make sure you file suit in a court where you KNOW things will get overturned, etc. Uh-huh.

This is one of those deals that there are more questions then answers raised at this point. This guy is WEIRD, if anyone saw snippets of the press conference.

QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Aug 16, 2006 -> 08:50 PM) Well, I'm on the other side of the spectrum in that I think interest only and ARM's are the only loans I'd really recommend. Only in rare circumstances would I recommend anything else because its so much cheaper and there is absolutely no reason to have money tied into your house (as far as I'm concerned). But thats for the area I live in and maybe my recommendations aren't the best for other areas. I also think this 25-30% increase is not going to happen and I think a ton of people are over-reacting to a necessary downturn in the real estate market. Its a cycle and a downturn is going to happen, but its not going to be like the crash of the late 80's early 90's (well at least how bad it was in Cali at that time). I know you're going to be gone, but why were there so many refi's after 3 years on ARMs, and why are there so many foreclosures from people that were on ARMs? You have to be really, really careful on these. That's all I'm saying. It's more riskier, but it can come with a good reward if you really do your research.
