QUOTE(FlaSoxxJim @ Dec 13, 2005 -> 01:57 PM) It says that America is more in the mold of the Roman Empire at its most depraved and morally bankrupt than I would have believed possible. FlaSoxx, I've made that comparison on this forum many times. IMO, you are 100% correct with this assertion. And it's one of the saddest things you can ever say, because our country will end the same way that the Roman Empire did, if not a worse ending.

*sigh* I understand why you all are so gung ho happy about this guy getting killed. He's scum. But aren't you people even the least little bit remorseful that we had to kill anyone to begin with? I hate the thought of killing someone because they killed people. It's just killing to justify killing. And I think that's wrong. "What if it was MY family?" Yea, I'd be pissed off. And I'd probably want that person dead. But it sure doesn't make it right.

And if this is the same guy, he had to shut it down because there was a traffic accident in front of his house and it took the authorities two hours to get to the accident. After that, he was told that he couldn't do it anymore because it was becoming a nusciance.

QUOTE(Athomeboy_2000 @ Dec 13, 2005 -> 12:50 AM) My toilet tank exploded while I was SITTING on it about a month ago. Yea, that was a fun experience! (I'll post a pic tomorrow) LMFAO! That must have been one hell of a log ... BOOM!!!

LMFAO! Merry F***ing Christmas Edit: Requires sound and has a ton of F bombs on it. Not good for work.

QUOTE(Soxy @ Dec 12, 2005 -> 10:35 PM) Technically, procreation is the first rule of nature. Preservation in and of itself does not pass along one's genes and allow the species to survive. This is what's wrong with this world.

QUOTE(Steve Bartman's my idol @ Dec 12, 2005 -> 10:19 PM) I hate my job! :banghead Dealing with stupid people in an airport all day would get awful tiresome. (that is what you do, right?)

This has a "do you know what makes a redneck" joke written all over it.

QUOTE(Steve Bartman's my idol @ Dec 12, 2005 -> 09:41 PM) He's NEVER denied it! Never? Really? Hmmmm.

QUOTE(robinventura23 @ Dec 12, 2005 -> 08:45 PM) DVDShrink works best for me. You can take out all the unnecessary stuff like French, Spanish and other subtitles if you like from the VIDEO_TS folder. It does compress it down, but I have not seen any loss of quality. It also has a built-in Nero Burning Engine. Other burning softwares I have used in the past have split the movies into two DVDs. Me too (Split into two dvd's). And I hate that. I'll have to check into that. Thanks for the tip. And you too DK.

QUOTE(Steve Bartman's my idol @ Dec 12, 2005 -> 09:10 PM) Has anyone noticed that Lowercase has not denied hating Israel (or the Jewish people)? Hmmm. Just stop it. We don't need to go through this crap again. Anyone who DARES disagree with you two (you and your brother for past history's sake) "hates Isreal"... GMAFB.

QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ Dec 12, 2005 -> 08:05 PM) Alright, it was only these 2 threads. Sorry if it caused you that much trouble. :rolly Go check out my other response. It's all good - I was just trying to figure out what you were doing. You apparently have too much time on your hands.

QUOTE(robinventura23 @ Dec 12, 2005 -> 07:34 PM) Happy Birthday!!! What did ask for your birthday? 10,000 more Soxtalk posts? I bet he asked for someone else to change poopy diapers.

So while this thread is being kicked around - if I read that one article right, you can compress down to where the DVD's will fit to one burned DVD? Most "old" dvd burner programs didn't give that option. If that is the case, do you all think that the quality goes down enough to not do that? Thoughts, please?

ok, I can accept that... but, please try to make some better points for bumping a six month old thread. Thanks for letting me know what's up.

QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ Dec 12, 2005 -> 07:37 PM) Well, this turned out well for the Sox. And again, what the hell is the point of bumping these old threads? I'd kindly like to ask you to stop, unless you have a really, really relevent point besides "oh looky this is good for the Sox"... Thanks.

SoxFan1, what was the point of posting this again?

Sort of parallels the other thread on killing the founder of the Crips.

QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Dec 12, 2005 -> 04:56 PM) Just in case anyone other than me cares...there is an episode of "ER" being filmed 1 floor above my head today. Update: Just walked past a chair labeled "James Woods." Now singing "I'm with James Woods" in my head. I think you should walk right up and DEMAND that you are given a cast part.

QUOTE(Steff @ Dec 12, 2005 -> 01:45 PM) First.. thank you to those of you that sent me emails and text messages over the weekend. I'm sorry I didn't get to them faster. Joey was mainly stable all weekend. The bleeding stopped from the silo, and most of his "guts" have fallen back into his body. There's about an inch and a half still out.. from about 7 inches, that is a miracle. He's been off the ECMO machine for almost 24 hours. They had to take him off to get the Heperan (sp?), a blood thinner, out of his system because today he has to have another surgery to put the perm patch on the hernia tear, and attempt to place the rest of his "guts" in his belly and close the hole in his body. There is a risk of him "bleeding out" on the thinner. Hopefully he's been off of it long enough. They say he has.. but I can't help but question. Not much else to do but pray and ask questions. He is also still being assisted with his breathing. They say he'll continue to be for a few more weeks. Surgery is at 1pm today. Understandable - but there are quite a few people around here pulling for him and we were definitely wondering. Thanks for the update... and we'll all keep thinking and praying for him and you all too, that you'll be strong all through this.
