QUOTE(southsideirish @ Dec 8, 2005 -> 04:26 AM) Please excuse me for not acknowledging that part of your post. The rest of what you posted was already discussed. Such as when you first get a dog they are not usually already used to a collar. They usually don't like the collar when you first put it on them either. They do a variety of things, such as scratching it and jumping wildly until they get used to it. For instance I had a dog that was 4 months old (we got her when she was 2 months old) until she stopped scratching her neck because of the collar. We tried many different fabrics and collars and she just didn't like it on her. That point you were trying to make was not a good point at all. It was also discussed that the material an ankle brace would be made out of would definitely be chew proof. Both points of your post didn't seem to be necessary and it didin't seem to contribute to the thread at all. They were already discussed and put to rest. That said, thank you for the cell phone information, another ridiculous product. Wow - this topic got the s*** kicked out of it.

QUOTE(Rex Kickass @ Dec 8, 2005 -> 12:16 AM) If all these people so incensed about the word "holiday" took that energy and focused it into feeding the hungry and giving shelter to the homeless this December... You're all right on this one. Seriously, who here gets pissed off when they hear "Christmas"?

QUOTE(Rex Kickass @ Dec 8, 2005 -> 12:15 AM) God this argument gets so annoying. Because it seems like any comment about wondering about victory in a war seems to be a reflection on the job the military does. Maybe the solution isn't military. Maybe its more complicated than what our armed forces does or doesn't do. My victory isn't military.

Well, here goes my 3-4 hour trip to go 20 miles.

QUOTE(Rex Kickass @ Dec 7, 2005 -> 08:28 PM) http://www.cnn.com/2005/US/12/07/airplane.gunshot/index.html Wow. Nice catch by the Marshals. Moral of the story - don't even JOKE about it. They'll shoot your ass. Of course this remains to be seen what really happened, but you get the idea.

QUOTE(NUKE_CLEVELAND @ Dec 7, 2005 -> 07:49 PM) How does the President allow himself to be taken out of the loop on untainted intelligence from an aggressive nation with whom war was imminent? Damn, Nuke. You really stepped on the landmine with that one.
-
QUOTE(Mercy! @ Dec 7, 2005 -> 07:55 PM) I’m glad I didn’t let you down. Look, Nuke, it’s not a “school of thought.” It is a cottage industry of conspiracy theorists. I really, really don’t want to play. Anyway, I’ve got to go. I’ve got a date with Tex on the grassy knoll. We’re going to compare our JFK Polaroids. LMFAO! I knew you and Tex had a thing. I just knew it. Be careful out there today. It's snowing in Dallas.

QUOTE(Rex Kickass @ Dec 7, 2005 -> 07:40 PM) What do you mean? I think that's actually a fair comparison. There's all sorts of substantial circumstantial evidence that could lead you to either conclusion. Just because the President is mentioned as an example doesn't mean he's being implicated in anything. Calm down. CALM DOWN?!? WTF? WHAT?!? OUTRAGE! F-BOMBS! OMG! That comparison is always made. GWB knew about 9/11 and didn't stop it because he needed a reason to get rid of Saddam. (Now we're going to get some articles that suggest it if the pattern holds true). Let's just stick to Pearl Harbor and the Germans bombing it.

QUOTE(NorthSideSox72 @ Dec 7, 2005 -> 07:29 PM) You mean like why didn't we do anything about all the now-obvious data about Al Qaida we had before 9/11? Or why FBI agents were pushed away from acting on it? Do you think that the Bush administration wanted 9/11 to happen? Oh Good God. I knew this was coming.
-
Uh oh, I'm wrong again. Here it comes. Oops. Wrong thread. Ignore me.
-
QUOTE(NorthSideSox72 @ Dec 7, 2005 -> 05:11 PM) Hey - I just saw this thread. Totally didn't expect that. Thanks to both of you guys, I appreciate the thought! Especially since I don't even know you. Wait a second... so if I'm 33, I'm in the older person's club? Is there a prize with that or something? It's cause you're older then me by three months. Old geezer.

This is BS. They do whatever they have to do to get the information. Every case is different. Gaining trust is the preferred method, of course, but if that doesn't work I'm sure other things are used, except REAL torture.
-
Hey, you beat some of us to the older person's club by 3 months.

QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Dec 7, 2005 -> 04:07 PM) They don't want to, but they will. If they have a problem with Falong Gong demonstrators, I doubt they would take kindly to people whose entire objective is to install Islamic Regimes where ever they are. Al Queda is not "Spreading Islam". That might be their long term objective - but short term, they'll call themselves anything to disrupt "other interests".

I've been waiting for this.

Once again, DRAMA!!!!! I'm not saying that things were all peachy, but, let's throw these people in front of a camera so we can talk about how messed up the government is. Most headlines this morning talk about the FEMA response. When you read the quote, the LOCAL OFFICIALS kicked the pooch here. But let's focus on the federal response, shall we? I'm probably wrong about this too.

VICTORY is a fully functioning government elected by the people of Iraq. That elected government will have control of the armies of Iraq, which will need to be strong enough to fight off the terrorists who will wish to bring that government down. When these objectives are met, the troops will come home. Pretty clear, if I can come up with it. Go ahead, s*** away about how I'm wrong.

QUOTE(Texsox @ Dec 7, 2005 -> 01:49 PM) YASNY, you are right, if someone doesn't know about Viet Nam, how could they know about Iraq? Misquoting the death numbers is just plane stupid and sloppy. That's why I thought Kerry had a better handle on what to do in Iraq. He fought in Viet Nam, He had people shooting at him. Bush stayed stateside, occasionally flying a plane. Who had the better clue? The REAL answer is neither of these two dimwits have a clue.

QUOTE(The Critic @ Dec 6, 2005 -> 05:06 PM) "AHEM....do the GOLDEN ARCHES mean anything to you, SIR?????" Indeed. That's pretty damn good.

Cerb, having gone through this myself - DEFINITELY when the insurance calls you, tell them that you're not feeling well enough to talk at the moment... even if you are. Let them f***ers stew. After a couple or three days, then talk to them.

QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Dec 7, 2005 -> 12:35 AM) And I'll say the exact same thing about the next executive branch that either turns its head the other way or actively encourages that behavior. I'm not saying two wrongs make a right here, but videotaping behadings and passing them around the world like candy is torture. Rape rooms and guns to your head and shooting your relatives to make you sing like a canary is torture. Sleep deprevation and things of that nature, which is condoned as allowable interrogation techniques and that sort of thing doesn't rise to that level. If idiots break that law beyond that, they deserve to be punished to the full extent of the law. You are implying that George Bush himself is authorizing this stuff by always putting his name with the quote. Go ahead, Flaxx, join in the fun, because you think the exact same thing.
