When the season's over.

First of all, they are already penciling this team for the playoffs now... who'd a thunk that? Second, the Angels are a bigger concern then the Rangers. Much bigger. I know we played a'right in Anaheim last go round, but I want nothing to do with the West Coast when we get to the playoffs.

There's no way in hell that any of us could or would have predicted the sox would be 48-22 after 70 games. 40-30 AT BEST is what I would have thought. But, 26 games above .500 and a nine game lead after 70 games... sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet...

If they are 25 games above on Labor Day, they've done a hell of a job and should be just fine going into the stretch run... and have played roughly .500 between now and then, which ain't too shabby.

These players are people, too. If Torii Hunter were on the Sox, what would you say? This guy plays the game right. We might not like him because he's a Twinkee, but this goes above and beyond his team affiliation. for him and his father.

Having just come from the health care industry, I can tell you that the billing side of things is a nightmare, and there is a huge amount of manipulation, formulas, consortiums, etc. to make sure health care costs stay high. The lobby power of private industry is MASSIVE, probably one of the biggest lobbying powers in Washington. That's ultimately what led to the doom of Hillary-care. However, I can also tell you that I wouldn't want the government involved in this any more then they are now. Talk about lobbyists getting even more power then they already have... how do you think they would set prices? Then what about all the lawsuits? How do doctors keep up with their malpractice insurance when the limits of what they get are set by one price system? I'm sort of all over the board with this post but I wanted to throw out there some chum.
