I hate interviewing with an HR person. You never know what they really are thinking or doing. Anyway, the company seems pretty kick ass. From my standpoint, though, it was said in the interview that I have too much analysis background - ok, whatever. I countered that pretty quickly by saying that it doesn't matter what I do, I'm adaptable, it matters who is on the team that makes it worth while. Supposed to hear back for round two by the end of the week. I get to spend lots of lovely winter time in Chicago if I get this. Oh, and they fly the wife up for weekends and what not - that's pretty damn cool. For that reason alone I hope it works out cause then we get to see ss2k and ms. ss2k a little more in the next few months.

I certainly wouldn't blame Willie Harris or Uribe for the season, but I sure as hell wouldn't count on these guys to lead us to the promised land either. For all you people that love Harris and Uribe so much, ask yourself, do you think these guys over 180 games (assuming they make the playoffs) can lead us to the World Series? If you think that, pass me some of the kool-aid, eh? I'm not saying they don't have a role on this team, but I am saying that if you are depending on them to lead your team through to a divisional title and into the playoffs, good luck watching the same crap we watched this year. Frankly, I don't want another rerun of the past three years next year. I've seen enough on this crew, and it's time for some PLAYERS, not "home run hitting machines", *cough, cough*.

Seriously, my vote is to let the season finish - maybe do it right then or following season end awards. I will need a day's notice.
