Oh but there's no problem there... I just think I found a reason to go to Wrigley, so I can sue the Cubs and the city of Chicago...
-
It should be noted that I have not seen it either... so bear that in mind.
-
I'm going to repeat the post I just posted in the other thread. What if the Sox guy bowled over the Twins catcher? I have a feeling most here would not see the problem with it and call this a "good hard baseball play"...
-
What if the roles were reveresed and the Sox guy did this to the Twins catcher? I have a strange feeling most here would be saying "it's no big deal, it's baseball, etc etc etc etc"
-
I'm not talking about that kind of stuff, I am talking about grants and pork that go back to local districts.

One of the best and smartest things that Clinton did (besides welfare) was cut taxes. You cannot argue with the economy such as it is today that tax cuts do not help the overall economy. If John Kerry were in favor of tax cuts (or at least making the ones currently in force permanent), maybe I would consider him more. SMALLER GOVERNMENT IS ALWAYS BETTER. This platform of redistribution of wealth reeks of government control. Curb spending. (Bush is a dumbass with this part) Allow the tax cuts. Remove government red tape. All that equals real, sustained growth. (This is of course oversimplified... but in general, with the "new economy" holds true.)

I see Mr. Sunshine Poopy is back.

LMAO - Flasoxx, if you marry her, you will become KING one day...

Love him or hate him, Clinton is one of the best speakers of our generation. Period.

*sigh* I could go through and write a diatribe like cw just did about "President" Gore, but it would do no good. I must agree with one thing another poster said. Do you realize had Gore won his HOME STATE, none of this would have mattered? If you can't win your home state, I find it difficult to support a "President" who was NOT elected. But why rehash this? Edit (for those who saw what I said already): I used the word diatribe. I didn't mean to imply bitterness, I leave this here to set the record straight. I simply meant, LOOOOONG post. My apologies, Vince...

Aboz, I respect your viewpoint, but, I think that everyone who threw their .01 in, had the best interests of this site at heart, and for you to question that is a little self-serving. Jason is the owner, but I think he respected us enough to ask us to be here in the capacity that we are in, be it as a poster, admin, mod, or guests. And furthermore, yes, it's Jason's site, but I think we all would go as far as saying we feel like it's our site, too. You ask the question would we get on Beastly for saying something positive? Of course we wouldn't. What sort of question is that? Let's use this as an example, again. Let's say your boss reads this and you know it. You have a choice, you either badmouth him or you praise him. If you badmouth him, there will be obvious reprocussions. I think in this case, it's not as serious as that, but you always want to represent your employer in the best light possible, knowing that you want the best interests served for your place of employment. I liken that to soxtalk.com. This is a community, and we want to spread the word and make this the best place we can make it, and represent this in the best light that we can. If there are negative vibes going around, we want to stop it. I think it's only natural, for something that we all really enjoy. What Beastly said (not pounding on him, he knows what I mean as he read through this many times by now and it was innocent) does not shed this place in a light that we want it to be shown in. All this is to say I don't think you have any right questioning any of us, because this is a community. Jason holds the final say, this much I agree with, and I really thank him for the opportunities. But we all certainly have just as much right to an opinion when the community is being discussed in the manner of which it was in the original letter. That was what I was trying to say this whole time.

You've got a ticket to ride? woah... And she don't care... (Beatle reference for the day)

rolleyeyes.gif I'm sorry that I contributed to the slobbering mess that this thread is. Can we stop it now? No, Beastly, you're not stupid. The :headshake guy sucks. I'm on a soapbox. We've determined that it's a slow news day. The made an appearance before . And there's a lot of going on. Bu-bye. And of course... :fyou

I moved your post to the how does this work and sig thread. Somebody'll getcha soon.

Really? Depends on who you're talking to. I worked in the shipping business for a long while. But, I digress... Cause Steff is Miss Know-Everything-It-All.

It was an empty trailer.

Comiskey = Coors Field of the AL. It's definitely a hitter's park...

I think the whole "starting thing" back to Minny a couple of months ago has really jacked with Neal. He was pitching lights out before the dreaded "fifth starter" fiasco. That hurt him bad. That said, he'll be back...
-
By the way you dope smokin' fools, you have to help me sometime soon.
-
That is freakin' hysterical Crimson.
-
This just in. We all are un-edumacated. It IS a slow news day.

Daaaaymn. What a thread. 16 people in here right now? Ain't this fun?

Oh really? I probably should take this off line, but you know... Just so you know, "so-called educated" was used toward others besides the writer himself because this letter came from a 16 year old. That's his right, and he will learn. However, for people who have college degrees and have "business sense" to condone a letter like this as written is just a little over the edge. Maybe it's my own background (this will get me in trouble for the finish of this sentance but you should understand), but it really irrates me when people flaunt their education, etc. and then turn around and be ignorant over something like this. That last sentance is, in my opinion, is classless and over the edge (no offense meant, Ross, you'll learn, and your passion will get you a lot out of life - so it's all good...). My last post said why I thought what I did. Before I start anything else I should shut up now. /jumping off soapbox and exiting this thread now...
