  1. Meh - I'd rather they trade Crawford, package him to get a real scorer...
  2. Props to Rauch! Not the greatest stats, six hits and three walks, but only ONE run! Huge! Nice job bullpen! WAY TO GO JOSE, JOSE JOSE JOSE! Go get those northside f***s tommorow, Jonny G!
  3. Knock on wood, but besides Marte and Shingo, Adkins is our next best reliever.
  4. Hmm - I find this interesting about Konerko. When he gets into his hot streak, he seems to take less pitches. But when he isn't hitting a lot of homers, he seems to walk a lot more and make better contact. What do you guys like better?
  5. That's what we need, when we hit homers, we need people on base. That is huge, absolutely huge.
  6. That's what I am thinking too. Anyways - there's two tickets for tommorow's game, 65 dollars a piece, yet my brother can't go. I've never been to a Sox/Cubs game, surprisingly I've been to about every other big rivalry game (Hawks vs Wings, Bears vs Packers), yet not Sox/Cubs. As they say on the northside, 'Maybe next Year.' VALENTIN 3 RUN SHOT!
  7. Brando - first, your new sig rocks. Second - what would it take to get Glavine, because I'm also intrigued by him. I guess it would probably depend on how much money we picked up, but would a Rauch/Borchard pack do, or is that too much?
  8. Krush, are you going to any of the games this weekend? And - has anyone here every used Stubhub.com? There are two tickets, 65 dollars a pop, on Stubhub, yet it says it could take 24-48 hours for the tix to ship. Would they get to my house in time, and is stubhub reliable?
  9. I agree, Krush. But we would be blessed if we got a win today.
  10. Great start. Leadoff walk and down 2-0 on Vizquel... :headshake
  11. Damn, would Trot Nixon be a welcome bat or what. A lefty who could hit for average and for power, not to mention how he would really balance out our lineup. We would just need Williamson to stay healthy.
  12. Chandler, right now, is on a program that is strengthening his back. Once he gets healthy, IMO, he can be almost (Not as good) as good as O'Neal from Indiana. Not as good, but similar. Once Chandler feels healthy about his back, and has confidence that he can go 100% without pain, he is going to be an absolute force. Not to mention he's still young and has time to fill out that body of his.
  13. Right now, I think we all have a somewhat skewed view of our team, saying that this is what our team really is going to play like. I, for one, know this. That was NOT Mark Buerhle I saw pitch last night. He has clearly NOT been himself lately, you can tell because when he was on earlier in the year, when he missed his spots, he missed outside or low, not right over the plate. Also, the hitters seem to be catching up to him. When he is on, even at his 91 MPH fastball, it blows right by the hitters, there's a little, oh, let's say giddyup, on it. Right now - I am not seeing the Chicago White Sox on the field. Tonight - meh, it's the fifth starter, if we win we should all give the Father a prayer tonight. Hopeefully the Sox/Cubs game will get these guys jacked and give them the kick-in-the-ass that is needed. While some say that this is the wrong time to play the Cubbies, I disagree in the aspect that this team needs an emotional series to get this team pumped up, and hopefully get them to play the baseball that we all know they're capable of playing.
  14. ????? Who said we had the best staff in baseball, even when we were pitching well?
  15. And if we had signed Bartolo, we don't have some of the players that are on our team today, such as Konerko, Lee, or Maggs.
  16. Sadly, I don't think we can get a lot of these deals done without sacrificing (sp?) a lot of the farm. These moves should have been made in the offseason, or at the very least, our fifth starter problem. But when Person went down, we had absolutely NO backup plan, well, Danny Wright was the plan, which didn't work. What I mean is, you shouldn't have to add all these players right around this time. You should be adding bits and pieces. We need at least two relievers, another starter, and probably another bat. Good luck, Kenny...
  17. Chandler gets injured a lot, but he is far, FAR from a lazy piece of s***. In fact, when he played, it was almost like an automatic 15+ rebounds every night. The difference between he and Eddie Curry: Eddie Curry is being FORCED to work hard. Chandler WANTS to work hard.
  18. Ah - my mistake, thanks tony.
  19. Yeah - it could in fact be for Crawford rather than Chandler.... Hell, it might be just a rumor too. But IMO, the Bulls will give up a pick tommorow for a scorer...
  20. Surprisingly (knocking the f*** out of my wooden table), we haven't been swept yet this year...
  21. :sigh: As much as I want to argue against Brando and sox-r-us, Buerhle really isn't giving me a lot of fire right now...
  22. It's sad that behind Marte and Shingo, our next best pitcher is Adkins... Call up Wunsch once he gets healthy, Baj would be nice, and give Santiago a try too. Please Kenny - we need one f***ing reliever.
  23. For a person that doesn't watch a lot of basketball, but likes and watches the Bulls (i.e. me ). Who is Al Harrington? What position does he play? How old is he? Is he a scorer? What can he do to help us? Is he worth Chandler and the 7th?
