Damn - I hope this isn't another 1-0 SHUTOUT for Escobar, who currently, right now has a SHUTOUT going into this inning. Hopefully he won't keep this SHUTOUT going. There guys - now let's get some runs!
-
CRector, where you at man? Oh yeah, but it's because of the run support that he's doing so well, not because he's only allowed one run. I really don't think Randy Johnson is a possibility. I think we have a shot to get Schmidt (sp?), Garcia, and Glavine. I'd like to have either one of those three on our team. My hope is that we can fleece the Pirates (ala the Cubs last year) for Kip Wells. He might not be an ace, but he's a very good number two number three. Then again, we want an ace. I like Glavine. I like Schmidt. I like Garcia.

Yeah oh well - People ignore the fact that our pitching just shut down the Rangers offense two days straight, and that we just dominated the Rangers offensively and defensively this weekend. Ignore the fact that we're first in runs scored. Oh well - continue the disrespect, personally, I love being the underdog. Working well so far this year, wouldn't you say?
-
Loaiza's had one dominant start - last night. BUt yeah, I could go for all five of those guys having MVP seasons!
-
One more thing, for those of you who didn't know: Juan Uribe = Studly awesome.
-
Crow is on the way, sir! That a way Tampa Bay! If they can take one game at the Twinkie-Dome, they'd split the season series at Minny! Maybe I can get a little greedy and hope they take two out of three up there, that would be awesome!
-
Timo hasn't done terrible, 250 average, not a good OBP percentage but he's a fourth outfielder, what do you expect? And he hasn't really played very well at any time this season either... Just rag on KW any time you can, eh? :fyou
-
Buerhle = What a performance. Nice to shut down this powerful Rangers offense to a total of seven runs this whole series, all coming in one game. Keep it up boys, bring on Anahiem!

Or, you're wrong. End of discussion.

5/26 White Sox vs. Rangers Game Thread

That would be awesome if Shingo could close for us - they should flash "Game Over" as he comes into the game. LOL, just like LA with Gagne. -
No one else wants to do it? I will! Way to go E-Lo, Shingo, you rocK!
-
So I guess we won't be getting a "Good Five Minutes with Jon Rauch"? My opinion is this - if he can pitch well for us, I don't care how he acts. Aboz, I have a question. J-Hood, a local radio personality (Don't know if you know him or not), has always said that Jon Garland rubs him the wrong way. Have you ever talked/spent time with Garland? Is he a good guy or what?
-
I am definitely interested as well. Hey, redandwhite, I've got everything but the Stadiums - first, where can I get a good stadium pack, and then can you sort of give me a step-by-step on how to get them into my league? Thanks.

Rowand, what High School do you go to? Just wondering, I go to Oak Forest High. Nuke, if you find this amusing, whatever, that's your choice. But fighting in the stands at a baseball game is neither the time nor place. First, I personally love the outfield seats, but with all of the fighting and swearing going on, how can any parent (Im not a parent, BTW) take their kid to the game and sit there? Outfield seats are the cheapest seats in the LD, so a lot of people like sitting there. Not if this continues. Look - if a Cubs fan came decked in all Cubs stuff head to toe and sat down right next to me, I really wouldn't make anything of it, unless of course, he was obnoxious, ignorant, or rude. Sure, I might throw in a little jab if the Cubs were losing, and with a laugh say, 'Hey, what's going on with your club?'. But you know what, I wouldn't start rubbing it in his face or anything. If a Cub fan was being rude to you last night, just be like, "If you're such a Cubs fan, why aren't you at home watching your team?" But a lot of the times, a Cub fan is provoked and provoked and provoked, and doused in beer, and he gets a little pissed off, and he might be the first one to throw a punch. Thus, he is looked as as the bad guy, which is terrible. Freedom made this country great - if a person can't go to The Cell, wearing whatever he/she wants without being unjustly provoked - then something is seriously wrong... I actually like the games where there's only 15,000, because most of that 15,000 is cheering on their team, not looking for fights. This is pathetic...
-
I don't agree with you about the taking away half-price nights, but this is getting pretty damn pathetic. You know what, some of these 'Sox' fans really aren't Sox fans at all. They barely watch the game (Im not speaking about anyone here, just the drunks who are fighting), they look around for anyone in Cubbie blue or red, even if that person hasn't said a thing all day. They just look up at the scoreboard, see if the Cubs are winning or losing, without even watching the game. You know, it's one thing if the guy is walking up and down the aisles decked out in Cubbie blue and red, and just being a total jackass (which I still wouldn't call for violence - never would, ever, unless self-defense.) But just because a guy is a fan of the team up north, doesn't mean you pour your beer on him. Im tired of taking a black eye for these dumbasses, I wont even call them Sox fans because I don't want to be associated with anyone like that. It's truly pathetic - and if I was older and had kids, I certainly would not want them at that ballpark...
-
Well, I really don't like the fighting. I had a small after game run in. Now, Im not a big kid, first off Im only 16 years old at five foot seven or so, so not that tall. This big, fatter college guy, who I didnt even know, as I was passing him by in the parking lot, just drops his shoulder and gave me a shoulder to the middle of the chest, for no apparent reason. Some people I dont get...

I play it, it's a great game. I traded Esteban Loaiza and Shingo for Mark Mulder, it was sweet. Buerhle and Mulder = Awesome. Too bad Jon Garland blows in the game, lol.
-
Platoon of Harris and Rowand would be fine IMO, each could cover for the other (Rowand vs Lefties, Harris vs Righties).
-
Awe, come on Cheat, you knew what I meant . What's his stuff, slider, change, curve?

Who likes to watch the game at the upper deck?
CWSGuy406 replied to bulokis's topic in Pale Hose Talk
Anyone here yet sat up on the FanDeck for a whole game? I went up there for the first time a couple of weeks ago when they were playing the Jays, man, those seats are an awesome and astonishing view of the field. You see the strikezone perfectly, you can judge fly balls as homeruns. Now, you probably won't catch any balls and your not very close to the field but they are great seats IMO. -
For the Minor-League gurus, I don't recall what Rauch throws - so, what does he throw? What's his velocity at, etc etc? A mini scouting report would really be appreciated, thanks for anyone who can pull one up for me. Thanks.

Damn, do you have a friggin' hardon for Wilson Alvarez? You only talk about him...

Gammons calls the Sox one of the best teams
CWSGuy406 replied to maggsmaggs's topic in Pale Hose Talk
I think the difference between you and Harold Reynolds is that Reynolds has this sort of 'I played the game so I know it all and whatever I say should be taken as gospel' that sort of pisses a lot of people off. Plus, I think he picked the Royals to win the division, as he stated as our 'pitching' would ultimately kill us. Not saying it won't, but it doesn't look like the Royals staff is working wonders... -
Who likes to watch the game at the upper deck?
CWSGuy406 replied to bulokis's topic in Pale Hose Talk
Wait, so basically you get 40 Tickets for roughly 50 dollars? 20 Dollars being the one dollar tickets, and the 30 dollars being the down payment for the coupon book? Not bad... -
Same here - I like Mulder the best two, I really like guys who grew up loving this team and have the chance to play for them would be a dream to them, I guess. Guys like Mackowiak (SP? I know I butchered that pretty badly, from Pittsburg) and Mulder, I'd love to see either of them in a Sox uni.
