Ben Wallace actually showed up. What a freakin game he put on. And kudos to Skiles for basically leaving the starting line-up the whole game. Now when Kobe scores 50 on us later on tonight (but hopefully we win) we will probably hear more rumors..

Torii Hunter
QUOTE(MurcieOne @ Nov 15, 2007 -> 12:41 AM) is that supposed to be in green? for every 1 assist there are probably 2 maybe 3 balls he takes an awful angle to an ends up a double. Soriano is a dynamic offensive player when he is on... but lets not mistake assists for good defense. ^^^^^^^^^^^^ He speaks the truth. He would be an outstanding DH. (can't field anywhere) With his offensive numbers, stolen bases, etc.. he could set records (DH wise) for such a little guy.

Sox's hunt for OF is on
QUOTE(YASNY @ Nov 14, 2007 -> 09:29 AM) I don't mean this in a negative way towards you, but really, what difference does it make? Thank you Yas. Seriously.

Cubs get Infante from Tigs for Jones
QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Nov 12, 2007 -> 09:59 PM) See, the problem is...against a lefty, they can just sit Jones and put in Rayburn or Thames, and Thames at least has a .826 OPS against MB. Oh I know they can bench him (hell the Twins did it when he was there) I was just making light of the situation.

Cubs get Infante from Tigs for Jones
QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Nov 12, 2007 -> 09:43 PM) Since 2005, Jones has, in 61 at bats, put up 5 home runs and a 1.005 OPS against the White Sox. In that time, Jones has hit 5 home runs against 2 other team; the St. Louis Cardinals and the Reds. In 120 and 109 at bats, respectively. He has not hit more than 4 against any other team in that stretch. He has a higher OPS against us than against anyone else he's seen more than 25 times. At least Buehrle PWNS the s*** out of him.

QUOTE(BigSqwert @ Nov 9, 2007 -> 10:13 AM) I am one of the few. Bmags, mhizzle, and hammerhead johnson are some others. I'm definitely one even though I'm a bigger fan of true hip-hop. There's others. CWSGuy406, SoxFan1, etc..

2007-08 NBA Thread
I have never seen a sadder effort of a team than what the Wizards are doing tonight. They are getting their asses kicked but just basically letting Camby get offensive boards. They are playing to lose basically and everyone can now see that.

Chad Qualls for Ryan Sweeney was talked about...
I would have done it as well. A part of me also is glad it didn't go through because it gives us leverage to use Sweeney to sweeten the pot on another particular trade that could help us down the road.

Tyrus Thomas: the joke
The only joke here is this thread (no offense at all Steve ) and I'm half-way saying this cause I'm one of the biggest (if not, THE biggest) Tyrus Thomas fan on this board. DBAH0, SoxFan1, or others can definitely tell you that.

Pet peeves....
QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Nov 7, 2007 -> 06:25 PM) Ugh, dealing with that one right now. It sucks so much. Ditto. Considering also this isn't just any other friend for me. This dude is probably my best friend (like a brother to me) It's a damn shame he's basically spoiling her. Basically a "money" relationship and she treats him like utter crap. It's crazy to think what a bangin body (in her case a huge ass) could do to a man's head sometimes.

RP Yasuhiko Yabuta
QUOTE(Palehosefan @ Nov 7, 2007 -> 07:05 PM) I can't decide whether to go with a comment about Kobayashi being a competitive eater and a reliever, or go with a comment about us even going after 3rd rate Japanese talent as well. I must say I was thinking that myself or some others as well.

Official NFL Thread
QUOTE(Brian @ Nov 6, 2007 -> 09:01 PM) Larry Johnson maybe out for the year with a broken bone in his foot. Yikes. I called it. I'll never forget the replay when A.J. Hawk rolled over his foot/ankle. Man it looked bad. Like I said, I would have been in utter shock if he just suffered a sprain.

Official NFL Thread
Jesus that's a sick line by AP. I missed the Pats-Colts game and saw NE won even though the Colts were up last time I checked. And I saw the GB-KC game and I'd be utterly shocked if LJ's injury was actually a "sprain" come an MRI. That had broken ankle/torn ligament written all over it. It was nasty but who knows. Maybe he'll get lucky. And Andrew, looks like Romo is showing why he was worth the $$$. Alot of interesting things happened this week in football (MJD, nicely done/poor Chad Johnson etc..)

2007-08 NBA Thread
QUOTE(Brian @ Nov 2, 2007 -> 10:15 PM) Bears and Bulls, both turning the ball over with regularity! Tyrus had a great game though. That's one thing I can take away from it though. Mah boy Tyrus being the stud he usually is gettin it done. Of course I'm probably the biggest Tyrus Thomas fan on this board.

2007-08 NBA Thread
The Bulls are now 0-2 and Kobe is looking damn good for LA right now. It's a damn shame our own home team is chanting for Kobe considering our poor effort and Ben Gordon creating turnover after turnover every game.
